Ah damn, thats really too bad. Many of us thought they would suck but we were at least hoping to be proven wrong, which has been a trend lately (like MP Ironhide). But here it ends up being what we thought it would be and thats too bad.

Also, those feet are very different from the original and a completely new take on it, the original was totally different and anyone who uses that to defend for this has no clue what the original looked like. This is a new take on the feet and a bad one at that. I am very sorry you arent happy with your purchase though, especially with how expensive he was.

I'm not totally dissatisfied with him but he definitely wasn't what I was expecting. As far as price goes though I paid $180 shipped for all three so while it's more than the Hasbro versions it's still $50 cheaper than buying off of like tfsource or something.

I'm wondering how much the God Bomber add on will (hopefully) improve this figure. Of course, at the same time, for as much as he costs, Ginrai should be able to stand on his own as a good figure without it.

Second, no worries, Ginrai is all sold out if not on the way to being sold out. No need to spend on a clunker at secondary market prices.

Third. I have a feeling of deja vu like that of MP IH and Hotrodimus. Both were "awful" molds.

Never once did I say it was an awful mold. I simply made comments about how there are some problems with this mold so others have realistic expectations. Not everything Takara does is perfect.

In any case, yeah, I'd expect most redecoes to be skipped unless it's something that was a redeco originally like Rewind > Eject or Brawn > Outback. Everyone's saying 'wait on Takara's Megatron!!!' but I just don't see it happening.

I could also totally see them skipping Clobber. Maybe?

Never once did I say it was an awful mold. I simply made comments about how there are some problems with this mold so others have realistic expectations. Not everything Takara does is perfect.

I never said Takara's versions are perfect (MP TRacks and UW Blastoff are examples though less on the latter). As I also mentioned, one view on what could be half glass empty and full is purely subjective ( on whatever perceived flaws of the mold ).

I will repeat again, wait for a while, just like the two MP examples I mentioned, for the mold to settle in and be appreciated.

Iirc,even MP WJ, when first revealed, quite a vocal number where dissing it too. Same with IH and Hotrodimus. Well MP WJ is just perfect (though I kind of prefer Exhaust's head over WJ's) IH would have had been near flawless too ( no issue with the butt wheels)if not for the cheapo thin chrome on his front bumper.

All I see are Roadking and Ranger in the first panel. And Grand, Lightfoot and Minerva. Then the holo of the new Super Ginrai fig.

Until we see GODBOMBER in his comic. That comic you are showing doesn't show GODBOMBER yet. I'll let the author sort out the details first.

Are the Cybertrons just into the habit of just making doubles of their warriors? Shuta has a new head, what then about the sentient 'bot? Oops, just a head no body. Will the upcoming Getaway/Lightfoot also get the same "you get another version of yourself" in this new universe again.

It's akin to that incident in GiTS where copying the sentience from the original all but brain fried the template. Almost expendable like nonchalance bordering to unnerving.

Also, Overlord is knocking on the door, will he be that same "Overlord" that will take on the upcoming Blackshadow/Skyshadow mold or another "duplicate". Now, he's a "single" headmaster not a double godmaster anymore? Will Devil Z's presence have the same effect on the godmasters losing/ acquiring sentience?

As God Ginrai is wearing Godbomber in that comic, the new Legends Godbomber may end up being a duplicate built in the Legends world.

I'm honestly not expecting Takara to make their own Lightfoot version of the Hasbro Getaway/Breakaway figure since the only thing about that toy that is truly inherent of Getaway/Lightfoot is its face, which doesn't resemble Lightfoot's cartoon face anyway. So if Takara ends up making a new Lightfoot face, then they'd be discarding the one thing about the Hasbro version that already looks like Getaway/Lightfoot, as the body itself is just Chromedome in Getaway colors, and that may not be up to Takara's G1-faithful standards.

Road King, Ranger and the rest are stationed in G Nebula 89 in the G1 Universe, as the comic says. They're the living Transtectors as seen later in Victory, with no human bonding whatsoever. The hologram is for the "Super Convoy" project, a second attempt to revive Optimus Prime with a new body. That was the original intent of the Transtector that ultimately ended up with Ginrai, and history repeats itself in the Legends Universe.

In the prologue, the Headmasters as well as several others lost their bodies due to the Blackball incident which made them shrink and pop out of existence. Strangely, their heads were unaffected.
The Master Braces used by the Jrs. are created by the same company based on the originals, but with different suit designs. The Nightbeat suit is the mass-produced generic model.

It's akin to that incident in GiTS where copying the sentience from the original all but brain fried the template. Almost expendable like nonchalance bordering to unnerving.

The Godmaster and Headmaster Jr. Transtectors gaining true life is a bit more mystical than that. Then again, anything in SGMF is.

The Overlord shown is, again, the original now-living Transtector, and has been waging war since gaining life and leaving earth at the end of SGMF. The Devil Z shown seems to be have been "dumbed down" compared to the G1 version of him.

One thing that must be kept in mind about the Legends Universe:

It's not considered a proper G1 Universe!

Instead, it's been designated a Iocus universe, which is Latin for "joke".

Also, about the Zodiac. How did Scourge get a hold of it? Is the Zodiac the reason/cause of this, the Legends universe, came to be?

When Convoy get resurrected using the Zodiac, will this universe, the Legends one, implode? Also, G1 Megatron here seems to have come from the future post Battlestars:Return of Convoy. So he's existing in the same time or just a parallel universe.

And would it be probable, Overlord following the other Cybertrons to the Legends and try to control Overlord again as his new headmaster? He did it with Wipe's transtector why not his former "peon"?

Scourge got a hold of the Zodiac, "just cause". It's nothing more than an oblique reference to "The Burden Hardest to Bear" in which he succumbed to the power of the Matrix, like he does with the Zodiac by fan-moding into the dragon.

Speaking of the Zodiac, there is nothing to suggest it created the Legends Universe: that's all the Zamojin's doing, from "The Face of the Nijika". It's nothing more than a dream world where wishes come true and thus, anything can happen (which makes the Iocus placement especially fitting), but it has come close to being terminated by its creators on at least two occasions.

Megatron does hail from the post-G2 era, but when it comes to the Legends Universe, that's irrelevant. Watch Doctor Who to see what I mean

Overlord crossing over to the Legends Universe remains to be seen and depends on how his toy is released: as Overlord or the gangster Black Shadow.

Execute me for hearsay, but awesome combined mode aside; I honestly prefer Hasbro's PM OP to this. The feet on Takara's are really starting to kill it for me, the different Titan Master is redundant and just makes the eyes look a little weird inside the helmet... and honestly, I really prefer the updated design on PM OP to the accurate chest on this one. It's just starting to look off.
The arms at least are undoubtedly better on Takara's in every single way (wrist swivels!!), but it's really starting to feel like Godbomber is less an optional accessory to make Ginrai cooler and more a necessity to make it look good in the first place.
