Don't see what the big fuss is all about with recoloring Ambus into Alpha Trion colors.Doubt anyone is buying this toy solely for the minicon class toy.
Think that Titanian Saint is a bad example of a good update Alpha Trion toy. As it looks like a combination of a cheap KO and a snap together garage kit toy.
Think the best update G1 Alpha Trion toy. Is that Botcon Alpha Trion repurposed Vector Prime toy.
Once again, there's no need to talk down to people. Things can be EASILY stated in a way that's not insulting.CrankyOldTruck wrote:Wow, is it really that hard to figure out? Why release an accessory figure in a market where nobody knows what the figure is? The U.S. gets Minimus since that is where he will be more likely to be recognized (for those following the IDW comics at least) and Japan gets Alpha Trion. The internal packaging doesn't have to be altered, the only thing that needs changing is the box art. This is such a simple marketing move and yet you folks are wracking your brains over why this is being done. This isn't rocket science and theirs no great mystery or conspiracy here. Please don't make me drag out my crayons and simplify this any more than I already have for you folks.

The G1 Episode "War Dawn" provides a possible answer. In it, Orion Pax and his friend Dion were killed, and Alpha Trion proceeded to rebuild Orion Pax as Optimus Prime, as we all know. Whatever happened to Dion? One theory suggests he was rebuilt into Ultra Magnus, again by Alpha Trion, but they're being particularly coy with confirming it.
FunPub really teased us by having Dion and Mangum, an Ultra Magnus inspired character. shot down, with Alpha Trion being able to rebuilt only one of the two into Ultra Magnus. Which one was it? We'll never know

Jelze is it the wings universe which has the reference to UM either being Dion or Delta Magnus. Also has Delta appeared in any more fiction.

Magnum is not Delta Magnus. And it is the Wings Universe, which is basically the G1 cartoon with a lot of subtle differences. Plus Delta Magnus appeared only in IDW comics, alongside its version of Orion Pax.

To clarify for those curious, what was shown was a preliminary concept of Liokaiser from the 1980s made before his design was final way back then.Starsaber468 wrote:On a different popular transformer site i saw a post of a liokaiser concept art
