But isnt the price difference because these come with the extra titan master vehicle? Also, we have absolutely 0 indication of the Hasbro price so how can anyone know if this is truly more expensive?
Even if the deluxe figures went up to $20 a piece it would still be cheaper since the titan master/vehicle sets are going to be $5 a piece. And with buying both you get an extra head on top of it being cheaper.

Thats fair, I'm hoping its not above the 20$ price. Also, I like how with hasbro I can choose to save money if I dont want to buy the extra titanmaster vehicle.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

(sorry, have a cold, and too sicky to look back at proper names and junk.)

SuperStryker7 wrote:I doubt it'll be cheaper in any way. You have to factor in that 1. It's Japanese. 2. Import costs 3. Different paint 4. Brand new heads. 5. Vehicles in exclusive colors.
Or given that almost always, TT versions have been more expensive than Hasbro releases.

The purple on his arms and thighs right?

Not quite, as Galvatron in most continuities is Megatron, reborn through Unicron (go watch the 1986 Movie). The little guy is called "Nucleon", and should be considered more of homage to the original Megatron, as well as a bit of an in-joke.

Yep. That's Hasbro for you. The TOY is always the definitive version to them. All other media appearances are imperfect interpretations of their "original" vision for these characters, apparently.

Ahh thanks! Yeah I've seen the movie which was why I was a little confued that Nucleon looked like MegatronHe'd look cool with a teeny tiny Decepticon insigna on his chest

Not for Sky Bye though. In that case Takara went with the dark blue that was remeniscent of the toy while Hasbro went for the more show accurate sky blue.
They did butcher the rest of that toy though.

I can't actually remember a time when a full wave of TT figures was met with a unanimous 'meh'; Whether it be colors, price for what you're getting, removing 'key components' (headmaster partners - lookin' at you not-crashbash), it seems like TT may have struck out entirely with a lot of people, and this is strange to me

I actually like these Takara versions quite a bit. I appreciate the cartoon accurate heads for Hardhead and Skullcruncher. Hasbro's toy-accurate hard head isn't bad, but the Takara Skullcruncher head is just a superior sculpt all around, even if you disregard the toy versus cartoon argument. The colors for Skullcruncher are pretty much equivocal. Takara's layout is just a bit more screen accurate, but it's not that drastic, really. Hasbro has perhaps more screen accurate duller shades for Hardhead, but the brighter shades on Takara's version really pop nicely. Having the color matched Headmaster vehicles/weapons is also an enticing plus. Galvatron looks great, period, and the difference between the Hasbro and Takara versions in terms of paint apps are very minimal (but still present). I'm going to wait until some in hand pics surface to decide if I want to err on the side of dark purple with Hasbro or light purple with Takara. In the meantime, I have all three Takara offerings preordered to my TFSource stack. If, before August, I find Hasbro's Galvatron in store and fall in love with the purple, or we get more info about the possibility of the Takara head/titan masters coming out as "booster packs" in Hasbro markets to create the on screen looks for the deluxe Headmasters, I may cancel one or more of those Takara preorders.
