Bottom line, Hasbro can't even be bothered to paint rims. Might be a tiny detail, but one that matters to me a whole lot.

To me, Hasbro's headmaster prime isn't worth $50. Takara's is worth a hundred to me.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts as well. Paint details are important to me. When rims, tail lights, head lights and faces etc. are not painted it just looks cheap and lazy. Plus the Takara one doesn't look so much like a retooled Ultra Magnus, and that matters.

Ironhidesh are you complaining about the west's modern business practices again? Where profit is god. I can understand comparing hasbro to takara, especially when they release the same products but I think the harsh words that some use on the hasbro forgets the scenario that the hasbro tf team find themselves in, I reckon the majority of the time they are trying their best with what they have

No, they aren't. They are try to find out how much we are willing to pay for as little as possible. To be fair to Hasbro, just as much if the blame falls on fans. If we weren't so willing to settle for so little, Hasbro would probally, maybe, try a little harder.

Well we fans are a mixed bag, some are happy with what we get as they think the toys look cool, others will be more pragmatic, and look at what they think things are worth. Both approaches have their up points and down points. I get what you're saying though but I still stand by my comment, it may be conjecture but I prefer to optimistically think that the hasbro tf team aren't all trying to screw us over. After all their hands may be tied due to demands from above them.

Btw, if money is such a big issue, why not just get one version. Whether it be TT or Hb and get it over it. Yes, we fans just like the song..........."You can't get no satisfaction"......whether it be updating or retrogating, price, hollowness etc etc etc (to paraphrase Yul Bryner).

I've rarely been as disappointed in a figure's reveal as I was when I saw Hasbro's PMP. While Takara's still isn't perfect (no small robot still bums me out) it actually looks like the character it's supposed to look like. I don't know if I'll be able to afford it, but I know I'd much rather spend $90 on the Takara than however much the Hasbro version costs.

Am I the only one that prefers Hasbro's grey to Takara's brown for Hardhead? Also Legends Galvatron doesn't look too bad without the helmet. Since it's not just a solid grey head on a purple body.

I much prefer Hasbro Hardhead in every way; that brown just looks... really bad to me. The only thing Takara has over Hasbro's for me is that their head has a face; but it has that same bad brown colour scheme and I can deal with Hasbro's having a faceplate (and it's a pretty cool faceplate anyway).

I find it quite scary at how well the kreon heads look, they make the figure look more imposing. If only the ascetics matched better.

I actually prefer HASBRO's smoky-tinted windows on Wheelie.

But, I think I like the other Wheelie colors better.

As for the Hasbro grey to the Takara brown, I agree with you. For me, this time around, I like the Hasbro versions a little better than the Takara versions. I know I'm probably in the minority on this one, but I think the color schemes are better matched in the Hasbros.

I do kinda like the heads though. Takara did a better job on those IMHO. The solution I read about painting them is a good one, but for Hardhead the entire sculpt is different.
