Looks like the the cannon folds in during transformation. Also appears that the missile can't be detached from the launcher. (Just an observation.)

Thought so too, that's almost the standard now. Additionally, his head could be part of the transformation process like Sideswipe/Red Alert..

EDIT -- he probably has the water shield from More Than Meets the Eye stored in his head.

I know I like to beat the toy accurate over toon accurate drum all the time, but ever since Classics Hound's creamy white thighs, I've always thought that deco looked great. The off white contrast with the green just has a nice military element to it.
I would prefer his face and wench be chrome or silver, but I think I can live with it.

What are those grey nubs on his feet? Are they supposed to be a cartoonish representation of wheels? If so, I'd prefer they'd just had wheels on his feet or ankles a la OG toy, but again, It's not enough to deter me from this fig.

I think he looks good, and feel like I can put down my drum sticks. :shock:

Yes, cartoon-accurate robot-mode wheels. Kind of funny that they've gone through the trouble of doing that, but also kind of cool!

Maybe it'll be optional like Ultra Magnus' wheels, but I doubt it.

And we'll get you aboard the cartoon-accurate train yet! :-P

Agreed with Black Hat. Head weird (not my style), legs too small. Maybe the first map I have to skip and wait for version 2 or 3. Not very impressed. Unless new pictures show me otherwise.

I'm more a fan of toy accurate over show accurate. Given the trend established with Shockwave, I assume this is the show accurate release. Is it a given that there will be a Hound+ and what do you think they might change about it?

I'm just hoping that Maketoy's Gundog go on a TRUE sale because of the appearance of the official MP. Like what happenned for Despotron. Because I could have the best of both worlds. Toy accurate with Maketoy's, show accurate with Takara's.

I wish it were, but I'm not sure it's a given. There is no precedence for it as of yet. All the + releases have been toon accurate repaints of the older more toy accurate figures. I know there's the coming Megatron, but I feel like that is really an exclusive situation.
Sunstreaker, to me, is the one who really leads the way in the new MP direction, and although there is Cordon, he is not Sunstreaker+, and any plans for a Sunstreaker with that head have not been announced.

I am tempted to wait and see, though. I said before the toon accurate deco doesn't actually bother me on Hound, but that little extra toy detail would make me, well, feel more like Amelie. =P~

Would I be wrong to ask for some repaints of Hound into Swindle and Red Alert into Breakdown. I'm happy we got another vehicle.

I know there's a dearth of deception MP figures, however I reckon that for the MP line, unless the original character / toy was a repaint, they shouldn't go down that route... Maybe a massive retooling but not a repaint.

You aren't "wrong", but it isn't going to happen regardless as they aren't about to make combiner characters that don't Combine. Never mind the fact that Breakdown and Swindle in robot mode look absolutely nothing like their alt mode counterparts in the cartoon. Hound is more likely to be repainted into either a new character all together or Detritus.
