However, isn't Hasbro still unable to use those names?
Wildrider cleared for FunPub for the 2011 Animated Stunticons. Slingshot was last said to be "no longer available." Maybe it's an autocorrect error of "Slungskot" (a la Slug and Skrapnel).
Or "Slingblast"?
"Blastshot"?
"Snarlblast"?
I'm not actually being serious here.I don't read comics, but isn't Slingshot
actually dead?
Looking closer at Takara Slingshot, I hate to say this, but he seems to be a more-or-less straight redeco of Firefly, possibly with a different head (pre-tooled or not). Then again, that was to be expected no?
And the new name should be "Quickslinger", look at Kre-O and Bot Shots. Make him a clone of Slingshot if that works for you guys.
"Wildrider" is a curious case though. BotCon shouldn't really count because some names expire within a year or two, plus FunPub has a nasty tendency of using names that haven't necessarily technically cleared legal. Personally, I'd hate to see "Brake-Neck" used, but the earlier proposed replacement name "Wildracer" would suit him much better.
The name of the line is indeed "Unite Warriors" and they're using the original Japanese names for the guys, not the US ones. In a nutshell:
- Firefly/Fireflight is called "Firebolt"
- Slingshot is called "Sling"
- Air Raid is called "Air Rider"
- The rest remains the same
The resident Rewind... well, half of one
- Jelze Bunnycat =:3
Looking for:
- TR Furos (Hardhead's head) and Crashbash (lost him
)
- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1 (plus repro Victorion hands and feet?)
