Well, I'd be intrigued by a Groove if I didn't already have to duplicate the others. And I like relative scale, (IE, not a stickler, but good to be close.) when the character is implicated to be a human motorcycle, and not a Cybertronian scaled one (Like Wreck-Gar).

Think it's a slight possibility that Takara might be using the new mold CW Tecnobot Afterburner. repurposed as Grove for their Defensor combiner.

I have a feeling that Takara will release combiner wars optimus, plus the additional (recoloured) "extra" characters (Rook, Alpha Bravo, etc) as Energon Optimus Primw, complete with his "OP 1-4" drones. It wouldn't surprise me if he even came with a trailer, but wouldn't be upset if he didn't. Then, Takara can sell recoloured drones for Grand Scourge, too as store exclusives (so you need to buy one each from a different shop)...

In the case of the Aerialbots and Stunticons it may have been, even then I think it's more of Hasbro not wanting too much redundancy in their lineups and Takara wanting to recreate the original teams. I think the other issue is Takara are selling these as one set as opposed to Hasbro who are selling each figure individually. Takara can get away with some uniformity in design that way since 5 figures are moving in one swoop whereas Hasbro feels they need some diversity on the shelves.

You guys are fooling yourselves if you believe all of that. It just comes down to ... how can we maximize our profits? There's a reason Takara's keep not getting announced until after the initial Hasbro shipments begin arriving. There's nothing wrong with making money ... this is just a perfect example of how to make money while not showing all of your cards.

Though I passed on the Optimus Prime figure, I would pick this guy up in a heartbeat! He looks awesome, I love those colors.

I am currently LOVING Unite Warriors Grand Scourge. It just has an awesome color scheme and Scourge was one of my favorite characters in R.I.D.1, so I might might pick this guy up at some point, even though Optimus Prime and Motormaster are my least favorite Combiner Wars figures.

What do you dislike about motormaster. I though the truck mode was near perfect.

I love that Motormaster mold. Hands down one of my favorite CW figures, but it appears I'm in the minority.

Well, I don't have Motormaster, but I did pick up Optimus Prime. And, aside from the unpaintable grey plastic (which one of these days, I shall fix with Reprolabels) I've liked him a lot more then I was expecting to based on photos I saw before buying him. Not my favorite Optimus, but still a good mold.

You're not alone! I have issues with Hasbro's CW Prime only because of the lazy paint execution. Though I don't have MM yet, I've seen enough pics to know I'll like him. And I'm dying to get Grand Scourge

I don't think so. He is a great figure. He is such a beast in bot mode. His transformation feels powerful and lends to him being a brawler.

Totally agree. I love that guy, probably my favourite stunticon. And that truck mode is really sweet. I am really impressed at how nice and detailed each mode is (the truck has barely any kibble from the robot mode and the robot mode has plenty of new details you dont find in truck mode). To me, he's the Cybertron Hotshot of trucks.

Exactly! Autobot or Decepticon, all bend knee to Galvatronus (or make one).
