Well, overall, I like the mould. But his head keeps popping off due to the odd neck connector. And on mine, his legs don't tab together for arm mode. Every time I so much as breath on Bruticus's arm, he splits his forearm. Saying that, I do like the mould. It really does look the part, and it's fun. Neither of these issues are present on my Strafe however.
Oh, and transforming the cockpit for robot mode, I'm sure i'm chipping the paint on the edge due to the way the transformation has the shuttle cockpit edge push past the edge of the other piece.
I don't mind his colour, I think it still works. But I would have preferred Hasbro's colours on him.

[Edit] Also, someone had asked about swapping Afterburner's head between UW and CW. I think it might require disassembly of the figure, including the chest ratchet piece. The hole in the bottom of the head does not look big enough for the neck ball joint to slip out. It is tight enough, and these are box sets so expensive to replace a single figure, I am not willing to try it...

My Strafe doesn't split his legs either. Whatever the issue is with Blast Off, they must have fixed it with the retooling. Or I just have a bad Blast Off.

They are different molds too. I think CW is a repainted (or molded in different color) Groove head. UW is a slight remold:

Interesting. I'm not at home, so I couldn't check it on my actual figures. Maybe the assumption with the question was that they were different heads. I'll have to see if I can figure out who asked...

No, its most Blastoffs that have that issue. It seems generally agreed hat Strafe is a better version of the mold than Blastoff, especially since he is turned around and doest have that protruding chest.

Which looked absolutely terrible on Blastoff

Well I mean, you could go the route where there's one Scattershot, a Scattorshot, and a Scattershoot. 3 different characters!

I don't think his chest is all that bad in person. Sure, ideally it would be flatter, but it's not that bad in hand IMO.

I have a feeling it's not going to bother me either.
And I don't mind Hasbro's version for what it is. But on top of him looking like a completely new molded figure, the set would've been a bit underwhelming (for me) if the original characters weren't represented.

1. My Strafe's head pops off *really* easily. Like, you just glance at it and it gets wobbly...
2. One of my hands/feet isn't the same as the other three. Three of them are clearly painted that very slightly darker brown-red while one of them is the unpainted raw brown plastic and the thumb joint is white (where the others are all brown). Anyone else have that issue?

Does it pop off at the hinge that allows the entire head to fold over back or at the neck ball joint? Mine pops off pretty easily at the hinge, particularly if I am bringing the gestalt connector around.

I'm not sure they are actually painted. I have commented in another thread about this, but some of the plastics used these days both by Hasbro and Takara have this shine to them that almost looks like enamel painted die cast. I find three of the HFGs with this. Maybe they are painted, but I cannot tell for sure.
The fourth one that is not shiny, also has a white thumb ratchet mechanism, is the gatling gun knuckles. Is that the case for you? Then I think we are consistent in our UW Computrons.
