Yeah the Gamma looks really fun, I should have one coming in soon. I really like the Battle Cruiser for the cannons and the seat parts. I have my fingers crossed they’re do acsecond run to match the GV Destroyer.

I’d have to watch another review; but does the cruiser not come with the individual pods to pilot the trailers separately to take advantage of their tread cannon mode?

If I'm remembering correctly, it does not. It only has the main crew pod

So the review for the Battle Buffalo just dropped. Mine should be coming next week or so, so after holidays I'll get a review up for the curious.

As the ever present threat of the Waruder grows, and their constant attempts to raid Earth of it's Freezon become more frequent, the engineers and scientists of the Earth Defense Corps stay ever diligent developing new tech for their first line of defense, Diaclone.

Today two new pieces were delivered to Moon Base. Diaclone Powered System Maneuvers, Gamma and Delta.


The Moon Base Main Hanger is abuzz with excitement today as they roll out the newest innovations in Powered Suit technology.










On the left we see DA- 27, Maneuver Gamma. Developed solely for covert ops, stealth infiltration, intel acquisition, and recon. Every moving part is coated in a new noise reduction polymer for stealth movement, and each suit is equipped with a holographic cloaking system that allows the user to seamlessly blend in with their surroundings and evade Waruder sensors.






On the right we have DA-28, Maneuver Delta. The newest in one-man aerial combat. Designed to provide aerial defense to all divisions of the Diaclone Battle Corps. The DA-28 comes standard with all the capabilities of a Powered Suits, and features two Alternate flight modes:

Jet Sky Mode

Designed for long range air to land attacks. DA-28 is the first strike against invading land based Waruder forces. This mode also offers air support for larger Diabattle aerial configs. It is also engineered for short range space flight and fully shielded for atmospheric re-entry.

Attack Helicopter Mode

This mode offers more acute maneuverability in and out of dense vegetation covered terrain.

Both aerial modes are armed with long range missiles, two front mounted armor piercing machine guns, and bottom mounted heavy impact repulser cannons.


We can see here, the short work these new Maneuver units make of these captured Warudersuits repurposed for training exercises.


The new Maneuver Suits Gamma and Delta. The premier Diaclone Defense Tech in an ever growing effort to keep Earth safe from intergalactic invaders, and insuring the preservation of Earth's finite supply of Freezon.

Awesome! Have you had any/much luck clipping the shield to the forearm of Gamma for it “assault” configuration?

The Delta looks really fun, I just wish there was a darker grey/alternate color. Even it’s “special” edition is predominantly white.

To a degree I wonder if some of the diaclone reboot tipped Takara off for themes on Siege
, like the weaponizer systems.

You know what SpikeyT, I didn't even know clipping his shield on his forearm was a thing. I still have his instructions here on my desk from the shoot, and I don't see it in there. But, by golly after you mentioned it, I looked at it and it does indeed fit onto his forearm. There is a box frame molded into the shield that perfectly fits over the flattest side of his forearm. And, it holds really well. It's just a tension connection, but it works!

Yeah. Not the most interesting in terms of deco, but he IS the first Powered Suit to have alt modes. Which is pretty cool in it's own right.

I get the feeling that Siege is all Hasbro's brain child. But, Takara, and Transformers by default have a long history of this kind of play pattern going all the way back to Takara's creation of the 5mm P&P system with Microman. I think Hasbro just went with it in Siege because it felt natural.
I wonder if takara was like, finally! You get it!

I just wish takara had used it the 5mm system in Masterpiece.

And P.S. You might notice I clipped your quote of me from your post. Other than breaking up scuffles and making sure everybody is playing nice and having fun, it's kind of a Mod's duty to keep the place tidy too. Over quoting tends to eat up a lot of real estate. You can call me out for being an OCD jerk if you like, but I was just trying to sweep up and keep the club house clean.

No worries about the clipping. For gamma it may not have had a name. But between the Buffalo animated short and the webpage, there was *something* going on with the shield in an arm mounted fashion. But no reviews and the instructions didn’t catch it

Not sure your policies on ordering directly from Japan, but have you tried looking at Mandarake or The Jungle for used versions of the two previous Big Powered releases? Might be a way to save a little scratch and still get that big awesome bot. I've had good experiences with both those retailers.

I may look into them. Thought part of the appeal of the Destroyer is also the color scheme. That *is* frustrating... is that it appears to be a retool of the "exclusive" second version of Big GV (the Marine version?) which I don't recall ever seeing on US import sights. Just like I've never seen the Waruder packs.


Are you excited for the Raptor Head coming out? I while I *do* plan on getting it. I'm still trying to figure out how it'll scale with the mid/large size mechs. At best, it appears to be double the size of the base suits (using the legs)? Though the Waruder Suits are deceptively fun. I'm soon going to be up to 4 (XD) and could easily map out a combination of +6 that could be really interesting. Just wish they weren't $40 a pop.

Also I share your pain trying to capture details on these little guys. Was trying to show a friend how detailed the interiors of both the Raidchambers and the cockpits... and boy is that a real pain....

I *almost* want to paint some of those panels... I just don't trust myself.

That's a good question.... I wouldn't mind a bigger version of the E(xtreme) suit that came with Big-GV (and eventually sold separately).

They should all be compatible, they all use the same port/peg systems. Gamma specifically has extra plates that peg into his shoulders, but otherwise I don't see why they couldn't.

I'm a big of a stickler for color combinations, but there shouldn't be any reason why you couldn't.

Just spent the afternoon fiddling with mine. Although it *can* hold six raid chambers, four seems more reasonable. I’m happy with its size for the most part.

Did you have any problems getting the pilots seated in the bullet modules?

If Big GV’s box is bigger.... that’s going to be a pain to store
