Sabrblade wrote:My point is that the show model did have fur and wasn't as solidly smooth-surfaced as this unfinished render looks.Hellscream9999 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:In regards to texture/smoothness, the CGI model did have a furry texture:
It was just that his fur happened to always be extremely well-groomed.
That's a weak excuse, they could mold more fur on the mp figure, the show version only had that because of cg constraints...

If only that one had included the Beast Wars Reborn version's show-accurate head and chestplate.Overcracker wrote:But as it stands IMHO, the Telemocha SP-DX Convoy is still the best version of the Primal mold to date.
Great silver and glossy red paint. All the accessories and features including the mutant head/mask.
Shadowman wrote:This is Sabrblade we're talking about. His ability to store trivial information about TV shows is downright superhuman.
Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'

Let's look at it this way; at least they're not using actual fake fur on the figure. Primus what a mess that would be.

Emerje wrote:My only three real complaints:
1) His bot mode head seems a little too big. Hopefully it'll be slightly smaller next time.
2) It seems like there's a button on his back. Please don't give this figure the same gimmicks as the original. No spring loaded flip up missile launchers and no lame arm swinging action.
3) How the hell did they mess up his feet so badly in both modes? The original figure did a really good job with the feet and this feels like a step back. They should be able to hide the other mode's feet better than this.

Or the other one that came out last year:william-james88 wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:I'll take it however it comes out, because it's apparently all we're gonna get.
You can always get the one that came out last year:

Ultra Markus wrote:so whats so special about this that the 10th anniversary one doesn't have
even though the 10th anniversary is from the original toy it was still very show accurate

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
durroth wrote:Remember this is far from a prototype, or the final product. What worries me is what looks suspiciously like a switch in the middle of his back on the wireframe. I don't want my MP to have chest beating action. So far it looks alot like an update of the original figure transformationwise, and I don't think it will be as smooth when it's finished.

Be patient, a picture in a magazine is hardly the sweeping presentation that ironhide got...
But, I mean, what were you expecting? The original figure was already pretty much perfect, and had more gimmicks than most mp's have, do you want that dumb chest pounding gimmick kept or something?
This was clearly made to celebrate bw and to give us the o/p that was in the show; hopefully he'll have cool pop-out lasers and the rocket pack and stuff.
