HLJ and amiami and a ton of other japan retailers wait for the go ahead from Takara. Hasbro does something similar in the US. It should be this week or the next.

I was just staring at these recent pics last time. I get that in robot mode, th original toy still looks good but damn, that beast mode is INSANE. It is damn close to what they promised us a year ago and, quite fankly, even better:

It is truly incredible to look at how advanced we have gotten, even when the Beast Wars line remains the biggest upgrade in articulation we have ever seen.

You can go in the middle and get amiami. I say this because you may not have the funds after botcon and you have to pay for Anime Export orders right away. With amiami, you wait till its out to pay.

Yes and no. They all use basically the same rates, but the difference comes from how they pack them (paper vs air bags) and how they weigh the figure because not all charge based on package weight but rather item weight. Some use manufacturer item weights (which are often an average) while others use estimated weights, and others more actually take the time to weigh them themselves.

For example, HLJ stays UW Devastator weighs 2410g and US$45 to ship FedEx only, while Hobby Search says 2380g and US$55 for EMS only. However BBTS says it weighs 3774g (8.32lbs) and if you use that weight on HS' EMS shipping chart you get a price of about US$55 to North America which makes the BBTS weight seem like the actual weight since the price they list at 2380g should be more like US$30. This makes it very hard to guess the shipping costs since these sites (AmiAmi, HLJ, and HS) don't give a shipping price on pre-orders so you have to do some guessing. I wont order UW Computron until I know how much the total price for the UW Bruticus turns out to be since it might just be cheaper to go with TFSource and add an item for free shipping.

I can tell you now that you will be better at TFSource if you can get that free shipping. The price for a combiner sent SAL from Japan from Amiami is 140$ so TFSource has it beat. These are good options for me and Burn since no way in hell would we import an item from a US retailer who they themselves had to import.

Shipping to me (Indiana, USA) from HLJ is only 11 bucks and takes at most, 5 days. I haven't nfound a different import site to beat that yet.

For MPs with a wide distribution in Japan they usually cant beat that. And you save 30-40$, I recomend everyone to buy MPs like this from Japan and HLJ has great service. By any chance do you know which shipping option you pick? Is it SAL?

FedEx. Second highest option. I pay 8 to 11 bucks.

I usually pricenout my MP purchases, and I've found that while paying about 5 to 10 dollars more total, I get my item a couple weeks sooner. Same with Macross items.
