Okay so I came across a random video "update" on youtube and some guy was babbling about how it was "rumored" that Megatron's mama or dad is supposed to show up? o.0

Just questioning it. Because he was like "I'M PRETTY SURE MEGATRON'S DAD IS GOING TO MAKE AN APPEARANCE INSTEAD OF HIS MAMA"

I honestly think if that was true I think Meg'z Dad making an appearance would spark alot of hatred and anger b/c didn't Megatron in old cartoon episodes say his father was a dick or something of that nature? And if his mama showed up I think it'd make him soft, because I think he made a comment in old cartoons that he appreciated his mama more. I dont know if I should believe this guy, I think i'll have to wait and see maybe?

Has anyone else heard about Megatron's Mama or Pops coming into the picture?

I doubt the Optimus and Megatron are related but all I saw was this dude babbling about "Megatron's mom or pops making an appearance" but seeing these responses I can see that this kid was most likely an over obsessed fanboy wanting things to go his way. lol but 'd still be funny.

I thought the same about Megs killing his father.

I thought he said something about his pops being a mean muthafawkah and basically got fed up.....at least i think thats what was said, as for his mother you might as well call Megatron a mama's boy. I never ONCE heard him say a bad thing about his mama, then again he never really talked about her except maybeeeee...twice?

All I know is that Megatron HATED his father.

I admit it's been a while since I've seen G1, but I never remember Megatron mention any sort of parents at all. In any medium. I think that anything related to Transformers and parents is completely in the minds of fans.

That is correct. No mention of parenthood has ever been made in any canonical series or medium. Sounds like this guy is doping or something :grin:

I was thinking about this the other day! Cuz in my 3 hour stopmotion I was gonna have Megatron be Bumblebee's father, so optimus is Bumblebee's uncle, but i was like "thats bullshit" And started to ask who megatron's parents where...

If memory serves, Wheelie is the only Transformer to make any mention of havine parents in the original cartoon. The Victory manga had more in the way of family units with Deathsaurus' wife and Leozack's sister, but still no Megatron ancestory.

There's also R.i.D., which has Scourge's parents being Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Kelly.

I thought they were brothers?
The whole "Prime" plot in RoTF threw me off.
But, I think its was Optimus's dad that Megatron killed.

And, then he ate his spark or something. I dunno, Movie Megs is weird.

Transformers have parents???? If done properly it can make a rivalry seem even more important or bring c-list characters to the front or it can be a whole mess !!!
