There is no comparison of FOC Bruticus to This. Hasbro's combiners will always be Hasbro combiners. Very limited in range, and articulation. That's why they are 100$ for a set, Vs. 100$ per figure.![]()
Oh, now you're just intentionally trying to start an argument.
I could've swore I said besides the hands... but it's more than likely true that FoC Bruticus has more of a range of movement and at least as much articulation as the 3rd parties. I can immediately conclude that Bruticus' knees bend all the way, with only his scrawny thighs stopping at his calf, as the nature of his leg transformation. His hip joints are probably carried over from Onslaught's, which look pretty standard. Considering the knee joint, that's better leg articulation right there. I don't imagine bots like Hercules with much more than maybe a 120 degree knee rotation.Sodan-1 wrote:orangeitis wrote:No I'm not. I know that wasn't your intention but your comment about FoC Bruticus having more articulation than a 3rd party combiner was so ridiculous an argument was inevitable.
If you prefer FoC Bruticus to anything the 3rd parties are doing then that's fine, I've got no majorissue with that, but please don't make up rubbish excuses to justify it. While no one has reported on the full extent of Bruticus' articulation (as far as I know) it can't be any more articulated than Hercules, Colossus or Giant. Those figures have got about as much range of motion as you could expect, and you can't just ignore hand articulation and say they're the same.
That's definitely a matter of personal taste. I think that FoC Bruticus looks a lot better, for instance.MINDVVIPE wrote:Perfect example of having both ability and looks here: Maketoys Giant. The shoulder is basically the same as FOC in that its a very clear joint that then extends outwards and THEN starts the actual shoulder. Giant just has the ability to squeeze the shoulder vehicle parts close to the joint after you find the pose you like. If it didn't have the ability, it'd still look great, but would have limited articulation.
So my point is, alright there might be as much articulation on some limbs and areas, and in some cases just a greater range of movement on FOC Bruticus, but at what cost? The cost is that it looks like a steaming pile of ****.
Well I'm not gonna argue a point over and over again. There's only so many times one can point something out and have it responded to with "nope, don't see it, our favorites are clearly better".MINDVVIPE wrote:Just want to go on record and say that I am SURE FP Bruticus has more articulation in every way than FOC Bruticus, both in range of movement and actual points.

Oh well. Enjoy your TFC Uranus, guys. =)

I can't wait to see more pictures of Uranus. I'd really like to see a closeup of Uranus, ones where they get right in there and really show the details. I want pics of Uranus from every angle.
On another note, Pluto might be a planet again?

That sucks if that's the case... it means the price will be on scale with Hercules as well. This thing is looking so damn cool, I was really hoping it was going to be affordable. Might just have to stick with my Fansproject upgrade kit though...
quickmixed wrote:The bigger the better in my opinion. This needs to stand at the same height as Herc. Absolutely needs to. I will continue purchasing TFC until the end if they continue releasing combiners in the same height scale.
DJrasmo wrote:For those of you already speculating on cost...keep in mind that for Youranus and any of TFC's future scramble efforts you will only be buying 5 bots instead of six...
This can either mean two things...one of them good and one of them really shameful.
1. Either all of their future combiners will cost at least $100 dollars less to collect 'em all, or...
2. TFC will only care about "total profit" from the Gestalt set as a whole bottom line, so in order to make the same $600 bones from a 5-bot scramble city as they did off of Herc, they will actually increase the price of each bot by 20-25 bones.
I am waiting with my "shame on you" finger at the ready, prepared to waggle.
