He looks good. But without the rest of his crew he looks like an oversized Drift. Since TFC doesnt have early bird specials, im gonna sit this one out and just buy the whole defensor set at once when Its offered. No incentive to have him sitting around for another year.

It's the most lacklustre 3rdp figure iv'e seen , i don't even want to buy it .

If i was to jump on this set it would be last one i bought only because i would have to to complete the set .

I'll buck the trend by saying I like it. But it needs reprolabels to fix the wrong NYC cop car markings. Hopefully it'll be the same size as the Classics cars in both modes. I don't know how realistic that hope is, but that's what I'm hoping.

But I have to agree with X. There's no point in preordering. I'm waiting this out until the entire set and inevitable add-on is released.

i dont mind the plain jane look of streetwise. in fact i think i like the average sculpting TFC does as apposed to the over sculpting MMC does.

buuuut.... i need to see some size comparisons. if hes the same height as hercules i think im out. just my personal prefference, but this is how i want my combiners to pan out tallest to shortest:
-predaking
-devastator
-all the rest being roughly equal height

i want dev to me a little bigger than the scramble city guys, and so far its working for me with herc standing next to my fansproject menasor and bruticus.

I don't think there's any hope whatsoever of TFC making a gestalt smaller than Herc.

I don't know it might just be me but Gumball does nothing for me what so ever , like X said i couldn't have him sitting around , they called him Gummball but he's no eye candy .

I have no plans to get this. Hercules is really the only thing from TFC that I liked. Plus, given limited funds, I'd rather have a group of Decepticon gestalts than a couple of either faction. But that's just me.

To be fair, the G1 figure is also about as dull as can be.

I think it is more due to that character being a pretty basic white car that this is being labeled as "boring".

No, he doesn't count. That's supposed to work with Power Core Combiners. It's a really different thing.

How is this any less a combiner than FP bruticus or superion ? Im assuming you prefer their scale over hercules, right ? Also if TFC did do the torso, then would it be a count ?

Are you really nitpicking my statements for legal accuracy?

That doesn't count because it's a wholly different product line than their G1 inspired combiners. Different inspiration, different combiner port, different scale, different everything. Even if they had made the core it wouldn't count because it's a different thing than what we're talking about. We're talking about the combiners TFC is famous for and the chances of their Defensor being smaller than Herc in that line. Bringing up their PCC limbs is besides the point and you know it. You're deliberately missing the point.

Actually I'm torn on the scale. I have both Herc and Giant, and Uranos as well as FP-enhansed Superion. IMO, MMC Predaking can fit in both scales (I don't think Predaking needs to be the largest combiner). I'll probably get their Defensor, but only after it's all released. No rush. I also have FP's Menasor, but I can't help but be bugged that the limbs are small compared to the Autobot cars.

Love those bikes IRL, but I do not like it for this set.

I'm hoping they or someone else do a more traditional CHiPs style motorcycle as an option.

But so far I like 2/3 of the set.
If the other 2 reveals knock it out of the park, I'll be all in.

i was hoping there increase in scale was just for predaking. if its not ill have to pass...

i hope fansproject continues making gestalts. outside of predaking and devvy, thats the scale i want.

I don't think the rest of their combiners will be Predaking size, but Uranos was a head taller than Herc. I don't think they'll make a combiner smaller than Herc. MAYBE the same size, but not smaller.

yeah i know! i just looked that up... dont know why it took me so long to investigate uranos, but yeah. he's big. bigger than id like anyways.

i dont like how im getting so daft about scale size these days. damn forum... (jk). either way, i dont need a superion today, so if down the road uranos is still the only one, im sure i can still enjoy him.

I won't be buying this for various reasons. I don't like the sculpts on any of the TFC Combiners. Dislike the oversized voyager & Ultra Sized team members. TFC charges too much for their combiners. I never cared for the 1985 Protectbots fiction characters or the toy sculpts.

I Like the MT,MMC & FP sculpts on their TF themed combiners because they are more highly detailed. Look more beautiful & are closer to the 1980's G-1 TF toys or cartoons designs.

Prefer my 3rd party combiners limbs bots be deluxe scale or big basics.
Desire my combiner team leader toys to be Voyager or Deluxe scale.

FP,MT & MMC Both charge much cheaper than TFC does for their 3rd party combiners.

It's slang derived from this type of siren. Granted a small misnomer here, but I suppose it's evolved to mean any type of siren. Maybe. Google image search gave me long types of sirens when I searched anyway.

Very close. I think you meant the lights, right? The round shaped lights in the picture are round like a gumball or gumball machine from way back when. Today, they are called light bars.

If you ever saw Starsky and Hutch, they had a removable gumball light that they would throw onto the roof when they needed to get somewhere fast. :-B

Hard to get pumped up for this. I think this particular bot is very boring but in a way it has to be, i like what I see of the motorcycle. My issue is the foot. Seems very lazy for a combiner now. Not so much that it is an extra part but it could use some beefing up, maybe some sides to give it an actual foot look. Not liking the slab and joint. Hoping the rest f the combiner ties it together in a way that I can over look it.
