It happens from time to time. Like Burn said, he saw the first Transformers weeks before it hit the US.

It's not out already? The way they've been running ads, you'd think it was coming out tomorrow. Doesn't change the fact that it's most likely going to blow.
Burn wrote:I assumed it was a world wide release. I can't be bothered going to see it, I doubt it'll be any good, especially when you compare it to other stuff this year like Prometheus, Dark Knight Rises, and to a lesser extent, Men in Black 3.
Oh and The Avengers. 'cause you know, that's the movie of the year right there.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Well, then you might not like to hear that Ruffalo has signed on for 6 (I repeat: SIX) Marvel movies as Bruce Banner/ The Hulk. I am not sure of the details, but I assume that includes the Avengers' movies as well as single character films.

Hulk can tell friend from foe, and if used right can also be aimed like a weapon. (Bruce admitted as much near the end of the last movie) That said, unless you've got a problem that needs a Hulk-sized ass kicking, it's best not to force the transformation.
Overcracker wrote:He can, but these guys were attacking him the last time he saw them. How does he know they wont do it again. Why would he help them?
Overcracker wrote:Oh and since when can Banner bring about the transformation at will?

That was in the last Hulk movie. He defended General Ross against the Abomination rather than, you know, killing him outright. Though that may have only been because Ross was on the same helicopter as Betty, Hulk still has a way of knowing who's on his team and who isn't.Overcracker wrote:Oh and since when can Banner bring about the transformation at will?
Again, the last movie. Bruce was shown meditating, then grinning as his eyes began to glow green, and the "Days since last transformation" dropped to zero.
Overcracker wrote:Fine he can control it now, so then why was he rampaging around the hellicarrier earlier punching everyone. Seems that either he can or he can't. But they can't have it both ways.

It's the Hulk, the personification of rage and chaos. Yes they can have it both ways.

By now, including me being a fan of the Bat (yes I read many comics and trades of him over the years)should realize that the movies are not going to be an exact extraction from the comics, plus the fact that just about every character on there (super-powered, that is) never could exist in the real world. That obviously means to me that the boundaries can be pushed or simply ran over.
I think Ruffalo did a good job, myself. As far as arguing the facts of a "hole in the plot" over Banner and controlling "the other guy" is truly irrelevant due to the fact that in real life that a guy turning into a ten foot road block of a green monster and back could not happen. Just call it "movie magic" as Kevin Smith says, get over it, and enjoy the movie.....
headsortails wrote:Now all in all, this movie was great. It had great action, a lot of laughs, and was kid friendly enough where parents could feel at ease to take their kids to see it without worrying about language, drug use, or over the top bloody violence. As for The Dark Knight Rises......well that's going to be a different story. It's gonna be dark and violent. I soooooooooooo can't wait to see it. So don't start yelling that the Avengers is going to be the biggest just yet............. Bane's fixing to fuk some sh@t up!!!!!!
