Upgrade kits are cool, but they point out flaws or make flaws in figures more evident, or they have flaws themselves!!
Currently, I'm on my third round of tightening joints on G2asor, specifically Motormasters knees (which the back of now face forward..
) and the ankle ball joints on the upgrade feet, and the "shoulder" area, the folded up Motormaster arms, at the elbow of the folded arms.
Small pins fell out of the cab section for Mixmaster on the DNA upgrade. The existing elbows of Devastator need crazy thickening. It also would've been nice if Scavenger and Bonecrusher tabbed in to the new shoulder mounts, the joints they used originally for articulation now just counteract the new awesome ratchets.
The heels of Fortress (you may call him Cerebros, not here!!) on his new legs are super loose so he falls backwards when trying to be dynamic.
I don't like the PE hands. At all. As guns, cool. Hands? No.
I'm SUPER EXCITED to install Metro and Max's new hands though. Holy cats are those things solid!! And the thumb works like a thumb!! No more popping off when trying to attach the sword for Max or the guns for Metro!!
I also really like the PE gun for Max. He's gonna look cool. I do like the torso guns too!! Pretty nifty, woulda been nice if they collapsed more though.
Brought Fortress and his transtector along with Galvatron today. They had dialogue.

Shoulders on G2asor are the worst. You rotate the arm? Undone. The only thing worse is the ankles on the PE feet and yeah, the hands just aren't beefy like the feet and it makes me sad.
The DNA kit for Devy is really nice. It really is. Just the flaws of the original get amplified which is unfortunate. The head is cool if you have the Hasbro release like me so you can switch back and forth. That and the cab section losing pins wasn't cool..we will see what that does to Mixmaster in robot mode.
And oh my goodness. The hands for Max are AMAZING!!!

It's true - Vanilla Max needs upgrades! I'm glad I at least splurged on that PE Mastersword, but that gun would make him feel more complete.

Upgrades are looking nice, I want just the Hands for Max, shame that isn't an option. I may still jump on the DNA Devy kit though. I was going skip the shoulders anyway

Also, I've been having a lot of fun with the Throttlebots lately. I guess it's the tires being old but on the kitchen floor they take off in the direction you face them, then spin out, then take off in a random direction!! Hilarity ensues, especially trying to launch them all at once. I need to do myself a favor and just buy Searchlight since I can't find him.
