Hey. The part I ordered from TFLand came in an excessivly large box, but only cost 2 bucks and some change to ship. Just FYI.

He actually got back to me, and the shipping would be $3, so I am pursuing the eBay option since it is a few bucks cheaper

D-Max has discovered the joy of Pretenders? **** YEAH! That's basically where I'm (slowly) concentrating my G1 collecting these days.

The robot modes were really nothing special, in fact, when you think about it, they and CW figures have something in common. Pretenders all had a similar transformation much like CW figures. While they don't part share like CW does, the designers followed a similar layout with each figure, much like CW did.

The shells is where the fun is at. Might not have much in the way of articulation, but damn some look good.

Thew finally talked me into looking into the vehicle pretenders, and I have decided to slowly find some older guys that look cool and can be found for good prices on ebay, and have been adding them to my collection. That is how MW soundwave came to me, and that is how these 2 are.

The robot modes are actually pretty alright and cool. Alt modes are crap, but that will be slightly fixed when the pom poms get here, and again, only slightly. The shells are awesome! Roadgrabber's looks pretty sweet, but for some reason I love Gunrunner. I think he is my favorite of the 2! He has TR Hot Rods guns at the moment and might keep them as the gray almost matches the frame gray color.

Really, these are some cool dudes, and I am super stoked to have them. I promise to post pictures when I have the time and the right stuff.

firstly, I found out something about Gunrunner that reviewers seemed not to notice: the windshield actually opens up and that yellow piece flaps out of the way so Gunrunner can actually sit in his shell!

I will do the battle chariot mode with Roadgrabber after I get his guns.

And, these guys are so much fun to ram into each other!

Well I've been out and about this weekend for a formal, a date night, and a birthday for my sister. searched around in the process but didn't really find anything of note Transformers wise. No wave 4 TR, no movie stuff yet, no RiD 2017 wave 2 of anything (I really want that Skyhammer!). But i did stumble across a Thundercracker that was warming a spot on the shelf randomly for some reason in Kmart. Also found a blowout sale with a pair of cozies in R2D2 and BB-8 Flavor. And finally, with The Last Knight around the corner, figured I would scoop up a book from a place where one of my best friends was working and the book was on sale. Boom.

Yeah, I figured he had to do something cause Roadgrabber has that battle chariot mode, and I saw the hinge when fiddling with the shell. Boom!

Also, something sort of cool: so Gunrunner came with 1 missile pod and I wasn't bothered to get the other cause of prices. Well, the guy who was sending me the gun turret accidentally sent me a missile pod first! let me keep it free of charge and is sending the proper part. wow!

The small handgun for both Gunrunner and Roadgrabber are the 2 parts missing from both now that the pom poms are in the mail and I got the other missile pod

Also figured out what I will do about Megatron.

I will wait to order him. Should he stay in stock at TFsource (and I think he will, that price point means he will be around for a bit I'm sure) I will order him in August or past that whenever I have moved. Makes sure I get some money, makes sure I can handle getting him with rent and stuff, and it gives wiggle room between him and Artfire and makes sure I budget for the movie toys.

But I will still try my damndest to get him later this year. He looks too good.

Unless MP Trailbreaker is leaked and/or announced. that'll change my mind real fast.

This MP rabbit hole is dangerous. I don't want too many, but I have looked and i want a few, but they are such a pricey thing. I keep looking at that G2 Sideswipe. That things is awesome. I'm holding out hope for a Shattered glass version of him, but the G2 is so dang cool.

Also really keep leaning on Primal. I don't really have an interest in Cheetor, but Primal is frikkin beast (pun intended and relished). I'll have to wait to see what they do with him for power of the primes seeing as how he won.

It's also funny because I don't have much of an interest in some of the original mold uses, like I don't really have enough of a connection to them to get them. I don't want an MP seeker or datsun (sorry Cobo) but I want to get a hold of that lambor somehow in some form cause I love Sideswipe, SG is so much fun that I will buy those repaints, Artfire is something out of left field and is cool and something super niche and I am into that (hence him but no grapple or inferno). I have to take a real shine to them, and sideswipe, SG Prime, Primal, and Artfire have done that, and Megatron is slowly starting to do that too.

Sorry, just wanted to ramble a bit about MP's. they are sweet and after we get through the prime wars trilogy, depending on whats next, I may start transitioning to that MP guy who gets some expensive awesome perfect editions of guys a little more often.

Yep, they are on a geared mechanism that makes them pump in and out while you roll the car along. kinda like first half of the 20th century naval guns style (Will comes swooping in for the inappropriate comment in 3..2..)

well you do love sg so if they decide to more sg repaints then it could be worth the wait. i really like sg swipes deco tho
