See, that is a big difference, but IDW has been about making huge differences and making them work. For example: Thundercracker abandoning the cons and never really being in to killing. Big departure, but we love it and it works. Perceptor has a sniper eye and was a wrecker for a time. Big departure. Megatron is an autobot (no explanation needed). Star Saber (good thing this is my personal thread. there are some people that may want to kill Roberts for him).

IDW is about making new personalities for old characters and making them work and making us love them, and Arcee is one of those that was changed radically. Yes, I can see why it is a disappointing departure from her loving motherly character we all know, but it works for her.

I like Megatron being an Autobot, and I like Thundercracker since he needed more character development anyhow. If they wrote the TF comics exactly the same but had Roadrage or Beta or someone else in it instead of Arcee, then I would love it. I am fine about departure, but when I have grown so close to a character and they turn it into a semi monster, I really don't care for it. I even like how the wrote Prowl. It's just personal. You don't have to agree, that's just my opinion.

Yeah it's cool.

I do love Arcee's representation in TF Prime. Pretty much the only character in that show that was a bit off was Wheeljack, but even him I liked. TFP is probably my favorite TF show. What's yours?

To date, Prime is still my favorite. I watched animated and loved it, but something about prime made it stand out just a tick more than animated and what RiD is, though neither are by any stretch bad shows. I love them both. Just Prime sticks out some more. Beast Wars was also a really awesome show that I loved. It set the tone for all other transformers shows to follow in its style, and that really sticks with me (considering how much animated was based on beast wars)

Yeah I have not watched any RiD (2015) yet, but I liked Animated too. But yeah, something about TFP is just something that can only exist once in a TF show. I think though it would be cool if someone does a comic based TV show (kinda like the DC comics movies and shows.) That'd be awesome.

I would love a (somewhat toned down for obvious reasons) MTMTE show. Issue 43 even made sure the TV 22 minute sitcom pattern was set! And it is a story about a group of mechs on a mission/quest through space. That is awesome! Not to mention the vast amount of comedy, feelings and actual character development. I would love it

I mean for IDW TF comics in general. Not just MTMTE. All of the current IDW TF comics are connected at least in some way. Maybe kinda like DC comics has different movies for different characters or different stories, even though they are all connected and in the same universe. IDW can maybe do something like that too. Maybe they can even have a Transformers and Ghostbusters crossover movie!

The connections that are there and the fact that Barber has stitched together so much broken up continuity is amazing and a reason why IDW is so successful with the comics. Heck, he made Spotlight Mirage canon after 8 years or so of being an orphan essentially. that was a nice touch

I like him too. and the fact that combiner wars brought his, Streakers and Ironhides rough history to a relative close. OM may have been a repaint, but he was actually very cleverly thought out. Mirage, Hide and Streaker all had such a bad history and no real chance to ever recompense it, and Prowl and Optimus were both part of that history and they had their own issues, so it made sense to put those 5 together. And it worked and it feels like some older plot elements were finally put to rest

When I accessed the internet for the first time yesterday at my hotel, I went to ebay, and right there at an opening bid of $6 and only 2 hours left of the auction, there he was!
