Actually no.
The Doctor could rarely perform pinpoint accurate landings in the old series, whereas in this series he's done it numerous times. AND, he actually ends up where he wants to go on a regular basis.
Matrix. wrote:Adored the last episode- found it better than the first. I still think it's perfectly acceptable for the Doctor to be mourning a loved one, especially since he's got a new assistant making things difficult and reminding him of what

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Yes.
And compare this season to last season.
The first three eps of both seasons have seen stories set in ...
One building - school in School Reunion and a hospital in Smith and Jones
New New York
Old England
First sign of unoriginality?

They used to do it all the tiome back in the day when BBC2 showed shows like Buffy or Trek every weekday night at 6pm....
Due to the exciting coverage of the final of the tennis/golf/darts/snooker/bowls running longer then expected tonights episode of Buffy the vampire slayer/star trek deep space nine/star trek voyager/star trek the next generation has been postponed and will now be shown in two weeks time....
Of course it was equaly likely that shows like that would be removed from the schedules completely for a number of weeks while the pointless sport of the season was put on the air instead.
Damn I hate sport.

You're a man after mine own heart, HC. I couldn't agree more.

Still it's always good to hear when the terrestrial channels have lost the rights to broadcast yet another sport to sky.
Heartwarming I'd say.
Fingers crossed it'll be the tennis next as their usual trick is to show 2 different games at the same time on BBC1 and BBC2...

That could be a bad thing. Anyone who wants to get rid of Tom Baker loses some brownie points with me. Even though Tom Baker got a great seven year run as the Doctor...Burn wrote:Insurgent wrote:And does any one else think they need to do more off world travelling as well?

I third that. I'd like to see more adventures in an all-alien environment... no "future of Earth" stories, though they can be interesting too.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound that way- looking back I do sound rather stiff. My apologies!
