Kohdok wrote:I've got three made, Nack is a sniper and is kind of like the Boba-Fett of the decepticons. Suppressore hasn't gotten much development other than being mid-range support.

Triclonia, however, has gotten a little more development.

As her regular bio suggests, she's crazy. An oddity amongst transformers, especially amongst female-type transformers, Triclonia has been designed almost exclusively as a melee fighter. Her name, meaning "Triple-sprout" in Latin, is based on how she has three claws on each hand in lieu of fingers. The claws are actually short and thick, kind of like Hsien-Ko, as she is a bit of what I had in mind during the design, only Triclonia's are a bit thicker. Her claws are like that because long, sharp claws are kind of silly to use against metal. She loves to sink her claws into Autobots (Or anything, really) and using her pure strength to tear them apart. Her other ability is as an Energon Cube Generator, and with her alternate form, a hovering cargoplane that still has her claws protruding from the front, she can carry quite a few with her. In her robot form, the energon cubes are stored safely in her legs. In a pinch, she can deploy one from her foot and kick it like a soccer ball at her enemies with deadly results.

*Sigh*... If only "Energon Cube Soccer Ball" could be a weapon...

Well, we have a ball of electricity throwing food poisoning around the battlefield. Why not.

Occult wrote:Allegiance: Decepticon Pretender/Resurrected Zombiecon
Sub-Group: Covenant of Unicron
Function: Sorcerrous
Transformation: Wolf
"I'm bored with immortality, I'm too tired to stick it out til eternity."

Profile: Not much is known about Occult before she came to the Covenant. The shy femmecon had simply refused to talk about her past and ignored questions about it. Deeply withdrawn , she never really lived until the day she died. Following a botched assassination attempt, on a high ranking officer of the Autobot War Council during the Defection Wars, Occult's charred and lifeless husk lay on the ground for what seemed like an eternity. Her spark wandered lost and alone through the Afterlife until it happened. She would later claim that Unicron personally intervened, a bargain was struck and Occult would live again. What is known however was later colaberated by members of the Dark Transformers: a wounded and somewhat heavily bleeding Ultra Magnus Necro was making his way back to the extraction point when he stumbled over a corpse. His infected blood mingled with Occult's wounds as he left and the zombiecon nanites that had mutated him began their repairs on her. As a result Occult awoke to her second life, although her coloring had returned her optics took a black shade. After making it way back to the hidden Citadel housing the Covenant she was wracked with pain and passed out. Hymn conducted a battery of tests and together with Stygian had come to the conclusion that the zombiecon nanites had completely infected her system. Authorizing a covert mission several of the Covenant stole an advanced Pretender Shell prototype. Her condition stabilized, she finally came to after 4 cycles. Startled and frightened she backed away from Stygian, calling him "Goribus" to his shock. Finally opening up she accepted the advances of the flirtatious Napalm Barrage, revealing to him and the Covenant that she was bi sexual. Months would pass and Occult would grow more confident and reveal parts of her past to Hymn and Napalm. Then it all fell apart.....

Abilities: Occult can see and communicate with the sparks and souls of the dead. Although most would claim her death simply damaged her logic circuits. The M-66 class Pretender Shell has a built in image inducer, that allows Occult to assume forms that she's scanned into it's memory. In disguise mode she prefers that of a Goth in her 20's, however in attack mode she heavily favors Succubus forms. Weilding arcane magicks from Ancient Cybertonian datatracks Occult is a wild and unpredictible foe.

Weakness: No longer being able to ingest Energon, Occult has to sustain herself by draining the sparkforce of willing or unwilling donors. She can only operate outside of her Shell for a maximum of 8 hours before the hunger she feels weakens her to much to relink. If her Shell is damaged the feedback causes her to experiance the pain as well. Her bizare nature and sexual preference serves to alienate herself from most mechs and femmes. Although never offically diagnosed it is most likely that Occult suffers a deep depression, most likely Manic Depression.

hehehe ... making her(Occult) one of my Zombiecons  yessssssssssss dead onez are fiendz

Wrote a team back story for v2:

The Defenders of Animatros

The story of the Defenders of Animatros is a long tale, stretching back to the earliest days of the Maximals. Following the mass reformatting that transformed many Autobots into Maximals, and created many new Cybertronians all together, the Maximal High Council was formed to lead the brave new generation in rebuilding the war ravaged Cybertron. The High Council was immensely successful, as it used the restoration effort to focus the energies of its people, to keep them occupied and also hopeful. When the restoration efforts neared completion after only five decades and jobs for the booming population began to evaporate, the High Council needed to find a new goal for their people.

With their home-world secure, the High Council began an effort to expand Maximal space, to bring freedom and the Pax Cybertronia to neighboring systems, especially those that the Maximals felt some measure of responsibility for. One of these planets was a wild planet called Animatros near the outer-fringe of the galaxy. Spacebridge travel had allowed its colonization before the Great War, but bloody battles for its resources had ravaged it repeatedly, the tenacious jungles reclaiming the demolished or abandoned fortresses and colonies.

Animatros was among the first planets to be colonized by the Maximals, and was certainly the first to give the Maximals the opportunity to make good use of their new bioscanning systems and organic-bonding technology, recently adapted from old Pretender and Binary Bonding tech; in fact, genetic material became one of its chief exports back to Cybertron, along with rubber. Many of the most rugged Maximals gravitated there, preferring the wild, pioneer colonies to the niceties of refined society.

Throughout this time, the Maximals had followed a directive to demilitarize, idealistically hoping to leave the Great War behind. After spreading themselves thin with their expansion, the Maximals caught the eyes of the long isolated Quintessons. The Quintessons, having spent decades rebuilding their forces, launched a vicious assault on Animatros. Their exact motives for attacking the colonies there are unclear; many believed they wished to “technoform” the organic planet, but if that were so why didn’t they just move in first? Others suspected the Quintessons simply wanted to get a hold of some Maximal bodies to study and indeed, many Animatrans were taken to Quintessonian slave camps and labs.

The Maximals virtually panicked, expecting the attack to turn into a full-scale campaign. Unwilling to appear weak before their constituents, the High Council refused to contact the old Autobot peacekeeping forces still flitting about the galaxy, and instead began a massive remilitarization movement. With thousands of idle Maximals on Cybertron, and with resources flowing in from dozens of colonies, they successfully quintupled the size of their fleet in a matter of months.

There was an unfortunate consequence to this action however. With the drafting of the Pax Cybertronia, the Predacons (descendents of the ancient Decepticons), represented by the Tripredacus Council, had reluctantly agreed to demilitarize and give up their expansionist goals. Most Predacons hated this agreement, seeing it as “living under the yoke of Maximal oppression. They believed the Maximals were unjustly imposing their own ethics and morals upon the Predacons, and denying them their Primus given destiny. Essentially, the Predacons believed the Maximals were stripping them of their racial identity.

Needless to say, the Maximals’ colonization program hadn’t set well with the Predacons, who were themselves prevented from any such activity by tight restrictions on their activities. The best the Tripredacus Council had been able to do was sponsor the construction of a new moon around Cybertron, a project which had proved even more expensive than expected, due to delays posed by inspectors from the High Council and the Predacons reliance on costly and heavily taxed resources from the Maximal colonies. When the Maximals suddenly began rapid militarization, most of the Predacons were furious at what they perceived as arrogant hypocrisy. On the other hand, many Predacons, starved for battle, joined the massing Maximal forces as soldiers of fortune, which also displeased the Tripredacus Council.

The Maximal fleet struck the Quintesson fleet with immense force. The victory was costly though, and largely came down to weight of numbers, as both sides were out of the practice of fighting. The Quintesson fleet, powerful but outnumbered, withdrew from Animatros, but they left their ground forces behind. With all the zeal of religious fanatics, the Quintesson magistrates and their Sharkticons dug their ‘heels’ in and prepared for a bloody siege.

Unwilling to glass the “innocent” planet from space, the Maximals landed ground troops. Most were chewed up by the much larger, more powerful Sharkticons, though the Predacon mercenary units fought with great honor and distinction. One Predacon fought with such bravery, ruthlessness, and brutality that the Maximal troops that saw him in battle began to call him “The Dinobot”, a title which he at first rejected, but eventually bore with pride. Another Predacon built a similar reputation, and was likewise dubbed “Cruellock”, after the powerful Autobot general Grimlock.

The battle for the planet stretched on, and the Maximals resorted to drafting civilians to fight the Quintessons on the harsh planet, civilians like the Maximal scholar Caelus. The Predacons were again displeased at the Maximals’ open disregard for the codes of the Pax Cybertronia, and their displeasure only increased when a covert agent discovered that the Maximals had begun investing heavily in numerous military research programs, including half a dozen different projects to create a Maximal super-soldier.

On Animatros, the heavy influx of troops, green as they were, began to turn the tide of the war. Finally, eight years after the Quintessons had first taken Animatros, combined Maximal and Predacon forces killed the last Magistrate on the planet and his elite cadre of Overcharge drones in a risky air-assault. Their leader slain, the Sharkticons and Gatorcons scattered to the jungles, swamps, and oceans, to become little more than yet another peril in the already hostile environment.

A portion of the fleet remained in orbit, while late-conscripts, freed colonists, and volunteers set about the task of rebuilding the colonies. Many draftees elected to stay on the planet and help, and their friends and families accounted for a new wave of colonists. Numerous Predacons also stayed, to hunt the Sharkticons and ‘conquer’ the wilderness.

Back on Cybertron, the fleet was granted a mixed reception. Many were proud that their nation had emerged victorious, but most were unhappy that they had been dragged into such a conflict, and that their loved ones had been involuntarily taken to fight for some alien mudball. The High Council stepped down its overt militarization, though it did continue, and funneled even more resources into their clandestine projects.

Meanwhile, many Predacons, frustrated that their first taste of combat in a century had been afforded to them by their age-old enemies, began to write off their leadership as lazy and incompetent. Many drifted out to the Maximal colonies to try and make a living, but were more often than not received with hostility and mistrust. Increasingly, Predacons formed into illegal groups. Smuggling and piracy became common among those who traveled out to the colonies, and back on Cybertron they dominated a growing organized crime ring. Of greatest threat to the status quo though was the rapid proliferation of terrorist cells throughout Cybertronian space. Their activities only served to increase Maximal paranoia, causing them to put pressure on the Tripredacus Council who, in all reality, had almost completely lost control of the situation.

When the Predacon nationalist Megatron stole the Golden Disk and disappeared into transwap space all hell broke lose. The Maximals were outraged and humiliated. They lashed out at the Tripredacus Council, demanding reparations, and stepped-up their military presence on Cybertron to deal with increased terrorist activities. As they drew their forces back to Cybertron though, they left the doors to their colonies open to the Quintessons once again. The Quints struck more aggressively this time and used Predacon allies to take many of the border colonies, virtually overnight. The Maximal High Council was caught between a rock and a hard place, unable to deal with both threats at once. It became a moot point when a mysterious viral outbreak forced the Maximals to quarantine the Cybertron-system, leaving the colonies to fend for themselves. Riots broke out in the streets as the Maximals and Predacons in the system turned against each other fully. Ravaged by the disease, the Maximal military lost cohesion, and much of the fleet was destroyed or disabled by Predacon terrorists. When the Vehicons appeared, there was no one left to mount any significant resistance to them.

Meanwhile, in the outer-fringes, Animatros stood as one of the few unconquered colony planets. The majority of the Predacons on the planet had refused to turn on their Maximal brothers, and so united, had driven the Quintessons off quickly. Animatros became a stronghold for a combined resistance movement. The handful of Maximal Battleships that hadn’t been caught in the quarantine linked up with Predacon pirates and smugglers that detested the idea of serving the ‘five-faced freaks’ and hoped to find their fortunes fighting them. For the Animatrans it became a war of survival, with the unorthodox fleet both defending the planet and supplying it with regular raids on Quint convoys and spaceports.

Eventually, the colonists of Animatros secured their position, and the planet was deemed safe from attack. Sortees were made to investigate the situation on the perpetually silent Cybertron, but were beaten back by the enigmatic Vehicons. Years later a transmission came from Cybertron, directed to all of the Maximal colonies, outposts, and ships. It was sent by a Maximal named Cheetor, who claimed that after a terrible ordeal, Cybertron had been transformed into some sort of techno-organic paradise, and it was safe for the Maximals to return.

Two ships, the ACS Drake, under the command of the Maximal veteran Caelus, and the ACS Rapier, under the command of the Predacon privateer Tidalblade, were sent again to investigate the situation on Cybertron. This time, they received no Vehicon resistance, but when they reached Cybertron, they found no green paradise. What they saw was a charred, smoking, orb. Fires still glowing on the surface cast hellish light on an orbiting flagship that bore an ominous and familiar purple sigil.

It wasn’t long before the Drake and the Rapier found themselves surrounded by Decepticon forces but through the ingenuity and bravery of the crew, they were able to escape to the planet’s surface. Once again they fight for their survival, this time on a planet that is completely alien to them; a planet they once called ‘home’.

New character, kitbash in the works -

Golden Ratio

"It is not through destruction, or creation, that we can perfect this universe - but by understanding."

Scientist
Engineer
Architect

Transformation: Sports car

Consider the golden spiral - formed from the seeming vortex of a square divided off into endless rectangles following the golden ratio. Consider its apparent simplicity, its true complexity, and its disturbing beauty. The seeds of a sunflower. The shell of the chambered nautilus. The arms of spiral galaxies. The eye of the tornado. Consider all these things and know that they shall be lost.
Jesus Prime, on receiving his true purpose from his master, Great Unicron, once did likewise. He paused, for the briefest of seconds, to consider the intriguing mysteries and intricate beauties of the universe that his sworn mission would forever destroy. Within the same breath, however, he weighed these against the horrors and the chaos of the same universe, and knew that this was a sacrifice he was willing to take. A part of him would always wonder, though, just what it was he was consigning to oblivion, and would mourn each world and each race eradicated as having forever lost their untold secrets. In order to quench his undying thirst for comprehension and understanding, he created his polymath, his Renaissance man - Golden Ratio, whose purpose is to fathom for Prime the glorious enigmas of time and space. Created whilst the Archaicons were in the process of erasing the planet of Triplex Phall, Golden Ratio was constructed from the remnants of that planets semi-sentient forge machinery and imbued with life by Jesus Prime's own power. Since that day, he has served his purpose well, and no longer is an eneternal flame maintained in the Fortress of Solitude for each new world put to the torch by the Archaicons, for no longer does a world perish without its knowledge being discovered and learned by Golden Ratio.
One may think it foolish of Prime to have another b the recepticle of all his accumulated knowledge, but he has often said that it is better to know why the rain falls than how - and as such, he considers Golden Ratio to be a volume of raw knowledge which must be refined. Despite this, he was constructed with an encrypted slave link in his memory circuits, networked directly to Prime, cuasing his every thought to be known by his master, his own mind not entirely his own.
In spite of his seemingly utilitarian function and origin, Prime instilled Golden Ratio with a spark, the very soul and essence of a transformer. It is not a soul of duty and obedience, as that of The King In Yellow, or of barely contained rage, as that of Shadow Moses, but a gentle, compassionate heart, which yearns for a peace it can never know. In his quest for this contentment, Golden Ratio designed and engineered the Fortress of Solitude, the grim and foreboding citadel orbiting Jupiter, forever chained to the solid core of the dying, bloated giant, which serves as the baroque and gothic home to the Archicons. He refined and greatly improved upon the design of the Misanthropy, increasing the efficiency of the vessel beyond imagining. And in his bitter pacifism, he has realised that the only peace and harmony in this universe will come whn it is erased from all existence - and in order to further that goal, he has long been toiling in the weapons facilities of Manhattan Project, slaving away on a project known only as 'The Plastic Constant', the details of which may only emerge when it is too late.

Looks like my v2 Team may get another heavy revision before v2 comes out, so I'll just go ahead and show off the handful of bios I did get done, while they still apply:

Caelus
Original Function: Maximal Air Cavalry Commander
Current Function: General of the United Animatros Colonies
Primary Weapon: Energo Sword
Transformation: Deinonychus

"… You win a war by making the other poor son of a fuzor die for his country, or by destroying his economy. Actually, if you could just avoid war altogether…"

Bio: Born after the Great War in Cybertron’s third Golden Age, Caelus satisfied himself with a good life at home with his sparkmate Kalihex, avidly studying anything he became interested in, from science to history to psychology. He was aspiring to become a great writer or artist. He was drafted during the Animatros War, a terrible conflict between the Maximals and the Quintessons fought on a muddy, jungle planet.

Lacking any natural skill in combat, but proficient in low speed aviation, he initially adopted a cybertronian helicopter alt-mode with which he could provide support to troops doing the real fighting. After a few years in the war, and being forced to enter the fray many times, his experience made up for his lack of aptitude and he began intentionally assuming a more offensive role.

He joined the Air-Cav soon after its formation, at the urging of his superior officer, Ancient Serpent 6, and with his experience and extensive knowledge of history and psychology, quickly gravitated toward a leadership role. As an Air-Cav commander, he remained on the battlefield with his troopers, doing his absolute best to keep them going. Though he was by no means a better warrior than many of his troops, his charisma and upbeat attitude was invaluable to the morale of his unit, and his proficiency in airmobile tactics, unorthodox thinking, creativity, and well chosen supporting officers kept the unit moving in the right direction.

By the time the war finally ended, Caelus, like many others, had grown fond of the colorful little planet, and decided to stay there for a while, his sparkmate joining him there to help repair the planet’s ravaged and fragile post-war infrastructure. They decided to take advantage of the most recent Maximal upgrade – an internal genetic scanner and bio reactor – and assumed alternate modes based on the local life forms, as many of the Maximal Colonists had when they arrived a century earlier, and the Autobots and Decepticons who had originally settled on the planet millennia before.

For the next two hundred years they watched from afar as politics devolved into a nightmare back on their home-planet. Conflict brewed once again between the Maximals and the Predacons, as the Maximals increasingly limited the freedom of the Predacons, and the Predacons lashed out recklessly in spite. Confusion, corruption, and incompetence swelled on both sides until a bold maneuver by a Predacon patriot initiated a political avalanche. The Maximal High Council exacted retribution in the form of embargoes, unnecessary inspections, censures, and other forms of general harassment. Any unity that existed between the two sides dissolved, and once again it appeared if war was on the horizon.

And then the colonies began to rebel. On Animatros it was a Quintesson-sponsored Predacon army that launched a military coup and toppled the government. The Maximals on the planet, including Caelus and Kalihex, scattered. They appealed to the High Council for help, but the spreading chaos already had their military power stretched to the max, and a precarious political position tied them down, forcing them to send a mere handful of troops as “advisors”.

With the help of these allies, Caelus rallied a small resistance group which harassed the Predacons with incessant guerrilla attacks. They’re frequent hit-and-run attacks on shoreline Quintesson fortifications garnered them something of a reputation as “pirates”.

But now the stakes have been raised. Word has come back that the Decepticons have returned to Cybertron, and intend to rebuild their empire. Leaving his resistance force in the capable hands of Cruellock, a native Predacon he’d befriended before the coup, Caelus has taken a small unit to investigate the situation on Cybertron…

Strengths: Caelus’ alternate-mode is only moderate in size, but it’s armored scales and tough hide are still capable of stopping lightweight attacks and his agility in beast mode is far beyond any he's ever had before, making him deadly with his Tungsten-alloy talons and teeth. He can fire a stream of jellied-thermite from his mouth in beast mode, melting most metals like hot-water hitting ice.

In robot mode he is able to utilize back mounted jet thrusters for flight. Though he can only fly in robot mode, he remains a skilled low-speed aviator, made all the more formidable by his sleek new frame. He wields a Gatling Gun and an Energo Sword given to him by Cruellock, who trained him extensively in its use. He has also been seen wading into combat wielding Battle Blades or an Energon Cutlass. Most importantly though, Caelus combines his broad general knowledge and amazing creativity to keep enemy commanders in a constant state of surprise and confusion.

Weaknesses: Caelus is not physically powerful or exceptionally skilled in combat. Internal fuel supply for built in flamethrower is relatively small. Inability to fly in beast-mode can live him grounded at inopportune moments. In spite of his apparent optimism and bravery, Caelus often suffers bouts of severe depression. He mourns the loss of every soldier deeply and is terribly afraid that one day he might not come home to his wife. The numerous times that she has been in peril have pushed him near the breaking point, leaving his unit when not engaged in combat to fly to her rescue.

At times a darker side to his personality may appear, especially if those he cares for are endangered. Normally calm and collected, once his temper is unleashed he becomes an oilthirsty walking weapon, using his claws on anything in his path.

Kalihex
Original Function: Chemical Engineer
Current Function: Representative of the Maximal Colony of Hue to the United Animatros Colonial Assembly.
Primary Weapon: Minicon Sniper Rifle
Transformation: Animatros Thunderbird

"I'm a lover, not a fighter. Mostly."

Bio: Initially educated at the University of Motohex – Resca (UMR) in the field of Chemical Engineering shortly after her protoformation, Kalihex went on to get her doctorate at the University of Nova Cronum – Boreas (UNCB). This background made her invaluable during Cybertron’s post war reconstruction; in an era where most of their elders only knew how to fight, members of Kalihex’s generation were building and repairing.

As a Chemical Engineer, Kalihex found herself largely responsible for helping to mend the Energon-supply infrastructure of the planet. She consulted with mining engineers working on the off-world extraction processes, designed the storage systems that transports would use to bring raw energon back to Cybertron, and, most importantly, designed a new generation of energon refineries on Cybertron to process it. She continued to work on the refineries afterward, making adjustments and adding new technology to improve efficiency and reduce pollution. She was briefly approached by the Maximal High Council which wanted to industrialize the creation of Maximal protoforms, but she refused to help on the grounds that the new ‘binary reproductive method’ introduced by the reformatting was causing the population to swell quickly enough.

When the war against the Quintessons on Animatros began though, she quickly found her talents placed under the council’s control anyway. She was initially assigned to work on designing munitions factories to arm the rapidly growing fleet. When that was done, she was transferred to a more shadowy area of the High Council’s R&D department, where she helped design a revolutionary new fuel cell for a new generation of Maximals.

When the war ended, she expected to be released from her duties and allowed to return to the maintenance of Cybertron’s Chemical infrastructure. Instead, the High Council tasked her department with designing a means to mass-produce the protoform she had helped design. She refused and quit, leaving the planet to find work on Animatros, which was struggling to rebuild itself. There she reunited with her sparkmate Caelus, who had been drafted to fight on the green planet.

Though she made a valuable contribution to Animatros’ recovery as a Chemical Engineer, she increasingly found herself participating in the nascent planetary government, which was attempting to unite the multiple Maximal and Predacon colonies for defensive purposes. After heavily supporting the creation of a small university in the colony of Hue, Kalihex was elected as the colony’s representative to the United Animatros Colonial Assembly.

When the Quintessons returned, Dropshock gave Kalihex a crash course in combat and paired her with the Minicon Longshot. Together, the two of them distinguished themselves as a deadly sniper team. On one occasion, she scored a headshot on a Quintesson Judge – unfortunately that still left him with four heads, but he was seriously impaired by the damage nonetheless. Countless Magistrate’s fell to her bullets, their large heads ridiculously easy targets, and they learned to fear the ‘Invisible Finger of Kali’. During this time, she continued to be vital to the planet’s political survival.

After the initial invasion had been repulsed, she aided Cruellock in fortifying the planet against further attacks by designing small ammunition plants to be constructed in each colony. When word came from Cybertron that all was well, Kalihex was chosen by the UACA to be their planetary representative, and so joined her husband on the ACS Drake.

Strengths: Aside from being an excellent Chemical Engineer, Kalihex also possesses an innate understanding of governmental systems and processes, making her a gifted politician – so long as not much politicking is actually involved. With the aid of her Minicon partner Longshot, she is a deadly sniper in combat, using her flight abilities to reach excellent vantage points and, on occasion, to snipe from the sky itself. She transforms into an Animatros Thunderbird, a large bird-of-prey named for its attraction to violent storms that would ground other birds. In beast mode, she has a razor sharp beak and talons, though she seldom uses them in combat. More importantly, her beast mode gives her an excellent sight-range, allowing her to pinpoint objects the size of a Sharkticon’s head from three miles away. This amazing ability is retained in robot mode. Kalihex is also a skilled musician, and has had internal sound-systems installed to allow her to play music in combat when she has no other instrument. One of the most dramatic accounts of her fighting described a winged warrior hovering in the storm clouds above a battlefield raining down precision death and playing Holst’s “Mars, god of War”, amid the lightning and thunder.

Weaknesses: Kalihex is physically lightweight and fragile, and has a lower air-speed than one would expect given her predatory alternate form. Though trained by the Maximal super-soldier Dropshock, she’s still really only good at sniping. Unfortunately, she is also not particularly stealthy, impairing her abilities as a sniper. Kalihex ‘loves government and hates politics’, avoiding the deception and maneuvering that is commonly involved in it. Fortunately, she lives on Animatros, a rugged planet where duplicity and deception aren’t appreciated outside of combat.

Cruellock
Original Function: Predacon Theta Company Commander
Current Function: General of the United Animatros Colonies
Primary Weapon: Energo Sword
Transformation: Large Transmetal Dragon

"Blood shed together is stronger than blood born together."

Bio: Cruellock, like many Predacons, joined the Maximals’ battle for Animatros in order to satisfy his inborn lust for battle, gain prestige, and most of all, feel that he had a reason for functioning. On arrival, he had himself reconfigured with an alternate mode based on a his favorite indigenous species of the planet – the powerful Shadow Dragon – which he quickly learned to use to great to advantage. He began as a grunt in a Predacon mercenary unit and clawed his way to the top by virtue of survival. As the war became more demanding, he eventually found himself commanding mixed units of Predacons and Maximals. It was at this point that he was given his name, a dark twist on the Autobot hero Grimlock.

The Maximals were awed by Cruellock’s bravery, selflessness, and amazing skill in both combat and strategy, but were also terrified by his brutality, ruthlessness, and mercilessness. Because of this, he became both loved and feared by his troops, who, nearer to the end of the war, with waning sympathy for the barely intelligent Sharkticons, took pride in their commander’s reputation. Some even proudly referred to him as Cruellock the Terrible or Cruellock the Eviscerator.

He also gained the friendship and respect of many of the inexperienced Maximal commanders, who relied on his Predacon aptitude for violence when forming plans and training their troops. Cruellock became fast friends with the Maximal air-cavalry commander Caelus, whom he fought alongside frequently in the latter third of the war. Cruellock became a mentor to Caelus, training him in the art of survival and warfare, and Caelus in turn became teacher to Cruellock, instructing him in Cybertronian history, a subject he had become intensely interested in.

When the war ended, the lack of other legitimate conflicts to join led Cruellock to stay on Animatros, where he hunted down stray Gatorcons and Sharkticons, and aided the colonists in preparing a proper defense for their planet. By the time the Quintessons attacked again, he and Caelus were the highest ranked members in the colonial military, together responsible for all of the colonies’ defenses and troops. By trading strategic and tactical command back and forth at opportune moments to take advantage of their differing skills, they managed to confuse the Quints and repulse them with minimal losses.

When Maximal ships began drifting into Animatros’ space for shelter, it was Cruellock who sent scouts to contact sympathetic space-faring Predacons and offer to give them shelter as well. From there, his commanding presence and reputation allowed him to convince the Predacon independents to join the Maximal fleet for the common good. He was also able to obtain a particularly nice ship, the ACS Drake, for his best friend, who was chosen to subcommand Animatros’s forces when they operated with the rag-tag fleet. Cruellock, being the more aggressive fighter was actually chosen for the command first, but having no taste for ship-to-ship combat, declined.

While Caelus participated in off planet raids, Cruellock continued to fortify Animatros and train the already exceptionally rugged colonists to be superior combatants. With a Predacon cooperating so closely with the largely Maximal Animatros High Council, racial distinctions virtually evaporated, and the colonists began to think of themselves primarily as Animatrans. Thankfully for Cruellock, Animatros was not completely safe though – the veteran commander still had the pleasure of slaughtering many Quintesson incursions. According to battlefield record, Cruellock was even personally responsible for killing four judges and twenty-one magistrates in battle, later attaching the judges’ heads to satellites, which he posted in orbit around the planet to intimidate future invaders.

When the call at last came from Cybertron telling everyone that the planet was safe to return to, Cruellock stayed behind without hesitation, preferring to continue facing the challenges of the outer-fringe rather than play tourist. For what it mattered, he sent Predacon representation in the form of his friend Tidalblade.

But then an unexpected and upsetting call came. A final distress call from the ACS Drake alerting Animatros that all was not well on Cybertron after all. Now Cruellock faced a terrible decision – stay and continue to help defend his planet from the Quintessons, or take a task force and save his friends. Deciding that the best defense was a good offense, Cruellock decided to ‘get his feet wet’ and led a small portion of the fleet on a hit-and-run rampage across seven Quintesson-held systems, crippling their extended military infrastructure by destroying factories, freeing slaves, and raiding energon depots, before finally emerging at the edge of the Cybertron system. What he saw warmed his spark – Decepticon warships surrounded Cybertron.

Decepticons, he thought, now there’s an army worth conquering.

Strengths: Cruellock’s mindset is perhaps one of his greatest strengths. His drive, and willingness, to win at all costs makes him a great complement to his more restrained, cautious co-commander, Caelus. Additionally, due to his passion for warfare, Cruellock’s morale never falters in battle, making him an excellent bot to have by your side when things seem hopeless. Cruellock demonstrates an excellent balance of strength, endurance, agility, and firepower in both modes, but most of all he’s exceptionally skilled in close-combat, wielding his Energo-Sword like a disciple of Metallikato. He’s no slouch with his Nitro-Napalm Flamethrower or his adamantium-laced claws and teeth either. Besides being well suited for close-combat, his alternate mode's dark scales also impart some degree of stealth when fighting in the shadowy jungles of Animatros. Experience and careful study has made him a master of conventional strategy and tactics, or at least as near to a master as one is likely to find among the Maximal and Predacon generation.

Weaknesses: Cruellock’s aggression and one-dimensional approach to strategy and tactics can make him predictable to enemy commanders, though it should be noted that he is completely aware of this shortcoming. Similarly, eccentric or outside-the-box thinking by enemy commanders can throw him off and lead him into potentially disastrous traps. Physically, Cruellock lacks any long-range weaponry, his longest reach being with his flamethrower, which projects 25m at best. Though Cruellock can fly in both modes, he his neither fast nor agile in the air, and therefore typically only uses the ability to move across the battlefield quickly in short ‘bounces’.

Darknyx
Function: Espionage
Primary Weapon: Concealed Battle Blades
Transformation: Transmetal Fox w/ Jet-Mode

"The best place to hide is in plain sight."

Bio: Darknyx is the Maximal High Council’s personal agent, just as Ravage is the Tripredacus Council’s; and like Ravage, her loyalties are to her faction rather than her superiors, leading her to butt heads with the council more than once. Darknyx was one of the first naturally occurring Transmetals and as such, was immediately pulled out of the civilian populace by the Council, both so her unique physiology could be studied, and so her advanced design could be put to optimal use.

After two decades of being alternately trained and experimented on, Darknyx was dispatched to observe the Predacon’s construction of Neoluna, Cybertron’s new moon. She lived and worked among the Predacons there for nearly a decade, concealing her Transmetal superstructure with an advanced holofield, and religiously reporting back on their mundane activities. She had begun to think that the council had forgotten their ‘instrument’ until the war with the Quintesson’s broke out on Animatros. Distrustful of the Predacon mercenaries aiding their forces, the Council reassigned Darknyx to join a high ranked unit of mercenaries in order to keep an eye on them.

It was a difficult task, as the unit had little reason to accept a low level manager from a construction project, but her training and mutant physique allowed her to demonstrate her worthiness by force. She fought with the unit against Quintesson forces for a long time before her cover was finally blown. She was forced to use her Transmetal body’s flight-mode to save her teammates Cruellock, Tidalblade, and Pratfall from certain death. Out of respect for the risk she took, the three Predacons didn’t ask any questions, and didn’t report the incident, but after choosing her friends’ lives over the directives of her mission, Darknyx finally decided she’d had enough of her involuntary service to the Council. She broke off communication with the Council, who presumed her terminated in the conflict, and when the war ended she stayed on Animatros as a Maximal colonist, eventually dropping her holographic disguise altogether.

She played a pivotal role in the unification of the Maximal and Predacon colonies on Animatros, using her friendships among the Predacons to ease relations between the two groups. It was at this time that she became fast friends with the Maximal Kalihex. She was also a key-player in the destruction of the small but still dangerous group of Predacons that planned to side with the Quintessons when they returned. When Animatros’s small fleet began raiding nearby occupied systems, she operated as a scout and saboteur, arriving on planets ahead of the main fleet. When word came of the ACS Drake’s loss, she joined Cruellock’s ‘rescue’ force, and headed to Cybertron.

Strengths: A charismatic seductress, Darknyx is able to win the trust of almost any male transformer through her feminine wiles. She has used these skills along with her advanced holofield to infiltrate Predacon units under a variety of aliases and hide with every optic on her. Subject is a highly skilled and very brave spy, trained extensively in almost every aspect of espionage, infiltration, surveillance, and sabotage. She is very fast, and extremely aggressive in close combat, where she has been trained to use her concealed weaponry with optimal lethality. Her Transmetal body affords her a number of advantages. Its advanced power-cells allow her to maintain her holofield constantly. It’s structure grants her superior agility and speed, slightly more strength than would be typical of a Transformer her size, resistance to energon damage, and a third alternate mode. Her third mode is an atmospheric jetfighter, capable of achieving speeds approaching Mach 2. Since giving up her disguise, she has had herself refitted with four Dol Laser Rifles, which mount on her shoulders in beast-mode and under her wings in jet-mode. Her beast-mode is quick, and most importantly, quiet.

Weaknesses: Although physically superior to other Transformers her size, Darknyx is still rather small; if her speed advantage is somehow negated, she can be easily defeated by larger, stronger opponents. Darknyx cannot use her jet-mode or ranged weaponry while using her holofield. Those who have known her and fought alongside her for a long time trust her deeply, but many others who are aware of her past do not trust her at all. Likewise, due to the rough treatment she received in the early years of her life, she has trouble trusting anyone else. Many are amazed that she has remained loyal to the Maximals at all.

Ragnarok
Original Function: Weapon of Mass Destruction
Current Function: Artillery Support
Primary Weapon: Zero Point Energy Cannon
Alt-Mode: Transmetal Animatros Cave Bear/Mobile Artillery Platform

"Speak softly and carry a big stick."

Bio: Decepticon, Autobot, Maximal, Ragnarok, more than any other transformer, is the progeny of war. Created to be a Decepticon super-soldier, powered by a unique Zero-Point Energy Vacuum Generator, Ragnarok was intended to be dropped in front of an advancing Decepticon Army to annihilate any heavy Autobot resistance and obliterate enemy fortifications.

Project: Ragnarok was cancelled when it was determined that the subject, though powerful, was inherently too limited. Though spectacular at leveling installations and bringing down orbiting ships, he was horribly deficient in close combat, unable to direct his destructive power toward moving opponents. Funding was subsequently shunted into a competing project, Project: Sixshot, and Ragnarok was assigned to a frontline infantry company as their primary artillery and siege unit.

Ragnarok spent his time in the Decepticon infantry training to channel his energy into his body itself, to boost his strength, speed, and endurance in order to make himself a more effective close combatant. To further aid this process, he spent as much time in the Arena as possible for practice. His fellow Decepticons constantly humiliated him for his deformed body and lack of a vocalizer. His grudge against his creators, and the loathing he developed for his ridiculers eventually led him to defect to the Autobot war effort.

After the war, Ragnarok eagerly volunteered to be reformatted as a Maximal, hoping the process would give him a new lease on life. Unfortunately, the reformatting only marginally improved his appearance, and did not protoform a vocalizer, so he continued to be mute. Unexpectedly, the power supplied to his systems by his internal ZPEVG mutated his superstructure, turning him into the first Transmetal on record.

When the Maximals began recolonizing the galaxy, Ragnarok settled on Animatros, looking to the untamed, remote, jungle planet as a sort of hermitage. He lived reclusively at first, but his isolation came to an end when the Quintessons invaded. His considerable combat experience and superior firepower led him to become the primary battlefield leader of the local resistance. He went on to be a high-ranking member of the colonial military along with Caelus and Cruellock, and accompanied Cruellock on the rescue mission to Cybertron.

Abilities: Ragnarok’s Zero-Point Energy Vacuum Generator powers all of his systems and charges the capacitor for his primary weapon. When fired the weapon unleashes a two second burst of compressed energy. On impact the energy is transferred into the target, overloading it at the Atomic scale, breaking the atomic bonds, and effectively disintegrating it as the energy is explosively released. This burst can be charged to varying degrees to adjust the amount of damage inflicted; hypothetically, in cannon-mode, he has enough firepower to obliterate a capitol ship from planetside, but releasing that much energy in atmosphere could have devastating consequences.

The Zero-Point Energy could also be used to amplify Ragnarok's physical attributes during the Great War, and Ragnarok’s new Transmetal body has taken that quality and carried it to its fullest extent; every nanite and cell in Ragnarok’s body continuously draws power from his ZPEVG. Ragnarok is now practicing with the ability to channel massive quantities of energy through touch.

As a transmetal, Ragnarok has two altmodes. He retains a cannon configuration similar to the one he had before being reformatted – it is in this configuration that his primary weapon is most powerful. He also has a beast-mode as well, based on an Animatros Cave Bear.

Weaknesses: Though he has an unlimited and continuous influx of energy, he can still be forced to expend it faster than he can generate it. Though years of experience has made him more proficient in controlling his power output, it’s still a serious challenge for him and his weaponry often inflicts massive collateral damage, limiting its tactical applications. His lack of any sort of vocalizer (considered unnecessary technology by the heads of Project: Ragnarok) has left him mute. Though he is proficient in sign-language, few of his comrades are, seriously hindering battlefield coordination, and preventing him from advancing any higher in the chain-of-command. His transmetal structure prevents him from using his beast mode as an effective disguise.

Nemeas
Original Function: Soldier
Current Function: Survival Expert/Local Guide
Primary Weapon: Electrum Claws
Transformation: Technoorganic Smilidon

"Sticks and stones will never hurt me. Nor will lasers or plasma blasts."

Bio: A victim of Megatron’s conquest of Cybertron, Nemeas was reborn when Primal and Megatron destroyed each other and reformatted Cybertron in the process. Like many of those reborn, Nemeas has little memory of his previous life, though dreams lead him to believe he served as a Maximal soldier at some point. Also like many of the matrix-reformatted Maximals, he has trouble transforming to robot mode at will. He had almost gotten a handle on it training with the Maximal Botanica, when the Decepticons arrived and bombarded Cybertron from space, devastating the nascent ecosystem.

Nemeas was separated from the other Maximals in the chaos that followed, and became lost in the burning wilderness and charred wastelands. His initial survival may be due almost entirely to a unique mutation of his beast-mode’s physiology – his hide is indestructible. While the smoke nearly suffocated him, and the falling trees threatened to crush him, the fires themselves were unable to even singe his fur. After enduring that hell however, Nemeas still had many challenges to face. Many of Cybertron’s denizens were driven mad by the devastation, or simply driven to desperation by hunger, and Nemeas had to remain ever vigilant lest some fool attempt to make a meal of him.

After enduring weeks of attacks, acid rain deluges, and ash storms, Nemeas began to think that he himself might need to begin hunting his fellow Maximals for food – after all, there had to be a reason the Matrix had chosen to make him a super-predator. His salvation came in the form of a Maximal named Songbird though. She had been sent from an island stronghold in the Rust Sea to look for survivors like him. Though terrified by the idea of crossing the sea, Nemeas agreed to meet up with a boat momentarily harbored on the coast and travel to the island.

The island, shrouded in ionically charged storm clouds, had been spared the devastating Decepticon attack, and was still brimming with technoorganic life. For the first time in weeks, Nemeas was presented with nonsentient food. Though terrified of crossing the water, Nemeas agreed to travel with the island’s search parties to continue looking for surviving Maximals or untouched areas on the mainland and other islands.

It was while aiding in this capacity, that Nemeas spotted the glowing tails of two crashing spaceships. He led the search team to one, the ACS Drake, and helped rescue the Maximals onboard, the Defenders of Animatros. Since then, Nemeas has served as the Animatrans’ personal guide and liaison to the native Maximals as they work to build an effective resistance force to oppose the Decepticon and Predacon invaders.

Strengths: Most obviously, Nemeas’s skin is impervious. It cannot be torn, punctured, cut, or burn. Likewise, his teeth and claws are indestructible (leading many to suggest that his entire skeletal system may actually be unbreakable) and therefore never lose their razor sharp edge. Using these deadly implements, Nemeas was on one occasion able to maul a Decepticon four times his size, putting the much larger transformer into stasis-lock from energon-loss. Nemeas’s technoorganic senses are quite keen and his self-taught and instinctive survival and stealth skills are impressive. Though he remembers little of his previous life, his latent martial skills occasionally surface in the stress of combat.

Weaknesses: Nemeas is incapable of transforming under the stress of combat, and almost unable to do it any other time, leaving his capabilities in robot mode unexplored. It has been suggested that his inability to transform is due to a mental block created because of the safety his damage resistant beast-mode has offered him – knowing that the configuration of his robot-mode exposes weak points in his design, he simply doesn’t want to risk it. Though his skin and skeleton are indestructible, the rest of him is certainly vulnerable. Drowning, asphyxiation, suffocation, and poison are all very real dangers for him, and blunt trauma can cause internal bleeding and organ damage while his impermeable skin renders surgery impossible. Though he can survive on pure-energon, plant-matter, and technoorganic plant-matter, his body requires technoorganic meat for optimal efficiency, a sustenance he cannot ethically come by.

New bio for my namesake, bridging the gap between v1 and v2.

Name: Kaijubot
Function: Team Commander
Team: Beast Legion
Allegiance: Maximals

Bio:

Kaijubot was “born” on the original colony of Animatros, a colony founded during the early stages of the First Great Cybertronian War. His protoform was brought online during a battle between the citizens of Animatros and the newly arrived Decepticon invaders from the Cybertronian Empire; a desperate measure by the defenders who were struggling to hold their ground. Kaijubot spent his first moments being taught the protocols of the Animatros Militia while dodging weapons fire and explosions. He had inflicted his first stasis lock within a breem of coming online.

He survived the battle, and many more, becoming a skilled soldier. It was quickly noted that he possessed a keen mind and a more than sound grasp of tactics; it surprised no one when he was put in charge of his squad; a unit he quickly turned into a tight-knit and efficient military unit that included (then) new recruits Stormstriker and Giga-bite.

His rise through the ranks was halted by almost terminal damage suffered during a protracted battle that caused to spend almost two months in stasis lock or CR chambers. Kaijubot claims he was aware of his surroundings during this time and had spent some time in communication with the great city-computer of the Animatros Temple. While his claims were originally refuted by his peers he revealed knowledge he had gained during bouts of stasis lock that seemed to verify at least some of his claims. Scans revealed no damage or degradation of his neural circuitry and Kaijubot was once again cleared for active duty.

However, rather than be content to simply follow orders, Kaijubot argued for a new, more aggressive strategy; that the council’s goals were too focused only on the immediate problem and that rather than simply trying to fend off the invaders they should attempt to prevent any more invaders arriving. During this period it became known that the legendary Optimus Prime was once more active and that the Autobots had survived. Kaijubot resigned his commission and declared his intent to join the Autobot forces. Several members of his unit resigned with him. He spent some time walking Animatros preaching his ideals, recruiting a small number of followers who accompanied him to Cybertron. The Beast Legion, as they were known, became a force of destruction across Cybertron and Earth, defeating countless Decepticon raids and attacks.

Then came the Quintessons. The Beast Legion stood on the frontlines, launching assault against assault against the invading armada. As the Sharkticon troops fell upon Cybertron, Kaijubot lead his team into the depths of the planet to make their final stand. History recorded that the Beast Legion died defending Cybertron.

A Maximal research team found Kaijubot in what was unmistakably a Stasis Pod, albeit one built from the debris of the battles fought at the end of the Second Great War. To the explorers’ surprise the pod opened on its own and Kaijubot presented himself to them as an ally. He then set about finding the rest of his team.

Abilities:

Prior to being found by the Maximals, Kaijubot spent an unspecified amount of time meditating and re-writing sections of programming; he used his self-repair system to reformat himself. As a consequence of this he is able to absorb background radiation and convert it to energon, meaning that he requires very little in the way of direct infusion. Possessing a new understanding of the nature of energon he created two weapons for himself, an energo-blade weapon and the Energon Destroyer; a powerful beam weapon that causes energon-based power systems to overload, resulting in a catastrophic chain-reaction within the target. Kaijubot can use this in both modes, firing from his mouth in beast mode and in place of his right hand in robot mode. Kaijubot is remarkably strong and agile in both modes. Able to fly in both modes, his beast mode is greatly superior in terms of speed and manoeuvrability. His wings, typically a weak point for mechs with similar alt modes, are composed of an energy-deflecting high-density material that Kaijubot uses to protect himself in robot mode.

Weaknesses; Use of the Energon Destroyer is energon intensive, meaning that Kaijubot can use it only sparingly. Also, his introspective nature means that he often second guesses himself when making key decisions; this can put him at risk in battle.

Huh, odd and kind of cool that we hit upon such similar back stories. :D

Yeah, I know. The original background was a mix of Cybertron (Animatros), Beast Machines (The Oracle) and the G2 comic's New Cybertronian Empire. With v2 coming up I stripped out the Oracle (which had given Kaijubot the idea of leaving Animatros to fight on Cybertron) and some of the more recent additions to the game.

I've had an idea to do an entire team of Beast Wars era "Mutants" (Maximals with 2 beast modes and no robot modes) created with a human as one of their 'beast modes'.

Technically it would be possible, and even, hypothetically, practical. Cybertronian robots able to walk around amongst humans in an era where contact with them is presumably supposed to be a no-no, and, unlike the other mutants, capable of wielding weaponry and wearing armor.

But on a scale of 1 to 10, how stupid of an idea is it?

1 being reasonable and even novel.

10 being 'sounds too much like Animorphs' (the recollection of which almost ruined the idea for me).

Motto: "No one escapes retribution."
Weapon: Energy Blades
New bios for Chillwind and Stompage, and the first bio for Frenergy

Name: Chillwind
Function: Aerial Combat
Alt Mode: Quetzalcoaltus

Bio:
On Animatros Chillwind was a loudmouth and braggart who spent much time boasting of his achievements and even more avoiding anything that seemed like work. He would spend much of his time flying, following the wind, caring little for the mechs below and less for anyone who got in his way while airborne.

The Decepticon invasion was the worst thing that could happen to Chillwind. Forced from the skies by the invaders, he was eventually drafted into the militia to help defend a refugee convoy. Over the next few years he had several near-escapes from Decepticon forces, surviving mostly on luck. This did nothing to improve his boasting; he spun tales that glorified his actions.

The tales reached Kaijubot, who approached Chillwind directly. With the terms of his draft over Chillwind signed on immediately, not entirely realising what was expected of him. He saw leaving for Cybertron as a chance to fly freely once more. He was horrified to discover the state of his new home.

When Kaijubot started sending him on missions, Chillwind took to extreme tactics, diving into the middle of enemy formations before transforming and attacking, or releasing bombs at point-blank range. Once again, he put on a faces: the face of the aloof, unfeeling, merciless warrior for the Decepticons; the face of bravado in front of the Legion; but in private he was ashamed that the trust Kaijubot put in him was founded on lies.

Although he began to develop the skills he had claimed to possess all along he failed to recognise the fact, each time he came through a mission he believed he just been lucky and feared for when that luck would run out. While on out patrol one day he found Flamedance, who had been lured into an ambush. Without a second thought he dived to her rescue. Even more surprising than her words of thanks were her words of praise, and Chillwind finally began to consider that he might not be the fraud he believed himself to be.

Following this he and Flamedance became close friends and he began to drop the façade he had built up with the Beast Legion, bragging less and less and being more open towards his team mates.

Chillwind spent his final moments during the Quintesson invasion fighting alongside Flamedance against a horde of Allicons in the tunnels around the Plasma Energy Chamber. Close to terminal damage and desperately fending off stasis lock, he collapsed the tunnel and created a small shelter for himself and Flamedance where they could hide and voluntarily enter stasis lock. It was in this shelter that Skowl, Frenergy and the Maximal team found them.

Abilities:
Subject is able to fly in both modes; Chillwind’s alt-mode is significantly faster, able to reach speeds of mach 3. Subject’s metal skin is designed to disperse and absorb energy into his own power systems, making him highly resistant to energy-based weaponry. Subjects visual senses are exceptional, allowing him to pinpoint targets from a distance of 3 miles away. Chillwind’s reaction times and reflexes are superb, making the subject a highly elusive target in combat and exceptional melee combatant as well as allowing him to pull off the more unorthodox tactics that he is known for.

Weakness:
Although effective against energy weapons, Subject's armour offers no additional protection against materials, leaving him vulnerable to physical attacks. Also, subject’s tendency to employ unusual tactics can backfire when employed against opponents who are ready for them.

Name: Stompage
Function: Demolitions
Alt Mode: Carnotaurus

Bio:
Stompage began his military career in an unofficial militia, barely more than a gang, in one of Animatros’ southern cities. Naturally drawn towards destructive forces, he began to familiarise himself with firearms, heavy weapons and demolitions techniques long before the Decepticon invasion.

Although dismayed by the destruction wrought upon Animatros by the invasion, Stompage relished the chance to finally try out the equipment and techniques he had spent cycles studying. He took part in multiple raids against Decepticon installations and spacecraft, each time leaving blasted ruins as he left. When the Animatros Militia formalised into an army Stompage signed up with no hesitation, becoming an instructor when not on missions, making sure his knowledge was passed on.

When Kaijubot began his recruitment tour of the planet, Stompage agreed to join him almost immediately. While the thought of leaving Animatros, possibly forever, troubled him he saw the benefits of a more aggressive strategy, as well as an opportunity to test his skills without causing further harm to his home planet. Kaijubot saw great potential within Stompage, although he worried sometimes about how close Stompage’s enthusiasm for causing explosions bordered on mania.

During the Quintesson invasion of Cybertron Stompage acted as a rearguard for the Beast Legion’s decent to the core, using his knowledge to collapse multiple tunnels in order to restrict and slow the advance of the Sharkticon hordes, allowing the Cybertronian defenders to make several successful ambushes.

Abilities:
Subject possesses an encyclopaedic knowledge of weaponry and demolitions; his claim that he is able to level any structure has yet to be disproved. Heavily armoured in both modes, with a reinforced body frame and multiple back-up and secondary systems. Consequently is able to sustain considerable damage before beginning to suffer impaired functionality. Alt mode claws and horns are diamond-edged, combined with powerful motors Stompage is able to tear most materials apart with ease. Advanced shock absorbers in alt-mode neck allow the subject to act as a mobile battering ram while avoiding self-inflicted damage to systems.

Weakness:
Subject’s enthusiasm often gets the better of him, leaving him in exposed in battle or trapping him under the debris of recently demolished buildings. Also, stealth is against Stompage’s nature, meaning that targets often have time to prepare for his attacks unless accompanied.

Name: Frenergy
Function: Medic
Alt-mode: Jumping Spider

Bio: [From the databanks of Miseria, Maximal Explorer]
We recruited Frenergy basically because we couldn’t find anyone else willing to join us. Our little trek down to the core of Cybertron wasn’t exactly authorised by the Maximal Scientific Council, and all the stories of teams disappearing never to be seen again put a lot of good mechs off coming. But he was quite well recommended, even if with a small warning regarding some oddities. Well, we were willing to overlook that if it meant having a good medic with us. We didn’t bother asking much about his background.

Odd was certainly the right word. I don’t think I’d ever met a ‘bot so nervous yet hyperactive. The slightest bang could send him scurrying off into a corner to hide, or just as likely he’d go closer to get a better look. He was always on edge, constantly looking in other directions and scanning the area for possible threats. It’s like someone cranked his processor speed to max, then installed another on top of it and cranked it up again. He’s a genius when he can focus on something.

Of course then we went and found the Legion. I don’t think we could have saved some of them without Frenergy. They know it as well. He seems quite good friends with Scrapheaper; she’s probably the only ‘bot on the team who has enough energy to keep up with him. And once they were back online, he joined them with the rest of us.

I wouldn’t have thought he’d be much good in battle. I was wrong. All that nervousness and distraction becomes a lifesaver, allowing him to track the battle around him. Sure, he still tends to scuttle away from the loudest explosions, or Giga-bite in general, but he’ll abandon anyone he’s working on saving. And he somehow seems to focus much better with the sense of urgency that battlefield repairs seem to invoke in him.

Abilities:
Subject’s body incorporates a powerful hydraulic system, in both modes this grants above average strength and the ability to leap up to forty times his body length. In addition, he is able to generate a web-like substance that works as an anchor for himself as well as a snare-gun, rendering enemies immobile without inflicting permanent damage.. Frenergy possesses remarkably keen senses; combined with his exceptionally fast processor units this allows him to keep track of virtually everything in his immediate environment. In robot mode, Subject’s most distinctive physical feature is an additional pair of arms. A highly skilled medic, he uses these to perform extensive repairs on one patient or repairs on multiple patients at once.

Weakness
Subject’s leaping ability requires a light-weight body frame and armour. Consequently, subject is less resistant to damage himself, relying on his other abilities to avoid damage. Cornering the subject, or enclosed combat environments such as caves, results in Frenergy being unable to avoid attacks effectively, leading him to take considerable damage in such conditions.

Weapon: Lightning Rifle
Had to dig for it, but found it at last.

Bio for my version of Wreckage, who is taking over Archanubis's slot (if not his job) fairly soon. Based on the character from the movie line:

Name: Wreckage
Allegiance: Decepticon
Function: Close Combat Specialist
Transformation: Armored Personnel Carrier
“The shriek of tearing metal and sizzle of severed circuits is music to my audio receptors.”

Profile: If Brawl is the hot-oiled, indiscriminate destroyer among the Decepticons, Wreckage is the stone-cold, proficient assassin. Silent and immutable, he’s most often seen lurking just a few feet from Northclaw, serving as the Eisen Dragoon commander’s self-proclaimed, if unnecessary, bodyguard. He’s a rather cold and distant individual, preferring not to socialize even within the Dragoons themselves; he sees any such effort as being inane. He’s not exceptionally popular with his own teammates or other Decepticons – only Darkwylde, Lohikaarme, and Northclaw seem to tolerate his presence – but he doesn’t particularly care. Many Decepticons are in fact frightened of him, especially when the witness the brutally efficient manner by which he uses his plasma swords to dispatch his Autobot victims. Although utterly ruthless in combat, Wreckage does possess his own twisted sense of honor; he’ll only terminate a wounded Autobot if it is making even the slightest effort to keep fighting. It is possibly the reason Lohikaarme tolerates him and why Darkwylde has witnessed chiding him.

Abilities: Wreckage can reach a speed of 62mph in vehicle mode and has been observed making sharp, hair-pin turns in a pinch. He’s armed with a turreted automatic machine gun on top and a forward facing semi-automatic rifle on either flank of his vehicle mode, all concentrated in the center of his superstructure. In robot mode, he’s equipped with a concussion cannon in his abdomen, capable of temporarily shorting out the mental processors of an opponent, and he can use his rifles as handheld or arm mounted weapons in this mode. His preferred weapons are a pair of energy swords, generated by the rifle mounts and are typically mounted on his forearms. Each blade generates a stream of plasma so hot that the can slice through even the toughest armor like a hot knife through butter; a magnetic field around the beams protects Wreckage’s own armor from intense temperatures. He’s exceptionally skilled and proficient in a form of martial art thought to be either a derivation or an ancestor to Metallikato.

Weakness: Most of Wreckage’s long-range weaponry is of a small caliber, so they’re fairly ineffectual against even medium-rated armor. Though his own armor is tough, it can be penetrated by armor-piercing shells and similar artillery; though he’s quick and lithe enough to avoid most attacks. His concussion cannon needs a considerable amount of time to operate and requires a direct hit to be effective. His preference to engage in close-quarters combat can get him into serious trouble, especially if he’s unlucky enough to face an opponent who’s considerably more powerful than he is.

If you're going to use the name Wreckage, I'd snag it now. Not too long ago I noticed a few Maximal canon names were available, decided I'd wait before snagging them, and next thing I knew they were all taken.

I tried snagging it earlier, but apparently the game still recognizes a couple of characters with the name as still active. Of course, it also recognized Northclaw's name as being in use even after I had deleted it from his current "slot".

I'd say a 2 or so. I actually sorta thought about the idea aswell, after stumbling onto some tmnt figures that are i guess you could say sorta like that(ones that go from turtle to mutant), but didn't do anything with the idea not knowing how i would/could work it out. I dont remember Animorphs to well, so i dont know how crappy, bad, or decent or anything it was lol.

Mini/Intro Bio for Cacciatore. I haven't decided if this will be a "one-shot" or a mini-series. I may just have this intro flow into the regular team bio-series.

Cacciatore
"Damn! I can't believe i a let him get away" The mysterious robot says as he fires a missle at a nearby cliff.

"A man once told me 'A hunter's weapon is only as good as the person in which wields it' hell if i know what exactly the old man was saying. I like to think he was telling me that it doesn't matter if you have a big mother bazooka it won't mean squat to fire it without great skill. I, myself, like to think i have the skill, but recently i have been doubting that.

My name you ask?

My name is Cacciatore, and let me tell you a story...

Back on my home of Cybertron, I was a great marksman. One of the highest perecntage shooters. The most "kills" out of my graduating class of Autobot sharpshooters.

When sent on a mission across the universe, i landed here, on this planet, earth. Landing in a place known as Milano, Italy. While in hiding, or blending in as some may say, parked outside an apartment building i heard folks talking about mythos, legends, and extraterrestrials. One mentioned an old legend of a moon cycle where one night the moon shined at a brightest it ever had before, and thus they named it 'La luna De cacciatore' meaning 'Hunter's Moon'.

After months of living in Italy I found my way onto a cargo ship and landed in the United States in a port located in Wilmington, North Carolina. When i thought i had a window of oppertunity, i ran. Speeding as fast as i could thinking i would be free to go where i pleased, i was wrong...
"And i can't be happier having a seasoned law enforcement official working the case for me. Just attack it. Like you're hungry. Like the wolf"

New bios for the Femmebots of the Beast Legion: Flamedance, Bladewing and Deepdive

Name: Flamedance
Function: Tracker
Alt-mode: Fire-clan Dragon

Bio:
By all accounts, Flamedance was born “broken”. She is the result of a natural spark division but the subsequent spark displayed significant instability and almost collapsed into nothingness several times before it could be safely placed into the protoform that became Flamedance. It’s twin displayed no such instabilities and became Bladewing, and so sisters came online.

It quickly became obvious that Flamedance was the “dark half” of the pair; prone to aggression and violent outbursts, she had great difficulty in operating amongst the society of Animatros. She barely communicated with any mech other than her sister and would often lash out at those who insulted or threatened her in any way. More worryingly for the elders of Animatros, elements of her beast mode affected her programming by overwriting parts of her personality scripts. She would often fall into a feral state, during which only Bladewing would be able to approach her at all. Attempts to diagnose and repair the problem were unsuccessful; ultimately it was concluded that these symptoms were the consequence of an unstable spark.

Because the sisters were brought online after the invasion had begun they very quickly found themselves recruited into the Militia; Flamedance found a niche for herself as a scout and tracker, which allowed her to spend significant lengths of time away from other Transformers.

When Bladewing agreed to join Kaijubot’s new unit Flamedance showed up without asking; Bladewing explained to a surprised team that Flamedance had always been protective of her. Flamedance surprised her sister by asking if she could also join. Kaijubot consented, and the sisters became the Beast Legions newest recruits.

On Cybertron Flamedance’s territorial nature extended to include the rest of the Beast Legion. She remained, however, a violent and unstable individual, often unwilling or unable to talk to any of the team. Kaijubot recognised her talent as a tracker, but also realised that the Militia had used her as such primarily to keep her away from the rest of the Militia. Because of this he gave her the choice of taking on the role again or not. She agreed.

Her seemingly sudden friendship with Chillwind surprised the Legion in general; none more so than Bladewing. It led to a general improvement in Flamedance’s temperament, much to the relief of her team mates. During the Legion’s final battle during the Quintesson invasion Flamedance chose to make her stand alongside Chillwind and the two were found together by the Maximal explorers.

Once again awake and active, she remains an aggressive individual, but has learnt to suppress her violent tendencies around the Legion. She also opted to undergo a minor reformatting, granting her the ability to fly. She is often seen in the skies alongside Chillwind and Bladewing, seemingly enjoying the freedom of movement it allows.

Abilities:
Flamedance is a tracker built; her body is highly energon-efficient, allowing her to operate for up to a month on small amounts of energon. Her olfactory sensors are able to identify and catalogue thousands of scents from the smallest trace in the atmosphere, allowing her to follow prey despite attempts to hide their trail. Subject possesses keen eyesight and night-vision. In alt-mode is able to breathe a beam of charged microwaves that superheat the air in their path to degrees approaching solar temperatures; subsequently is able to burn through most targets. Claws employ force fields to create improved cutting edges; these power claws are usable in both modes and form Flamedance’s primary melee armament. A recent minor reformatting has seen Flamedance fitted with wings and engines allowing flight for limited periods in alt-mode, in robot mode the engines act as boosters providing greatly increased jumping ability.

Weakness
Subject is relentless and focussed when tracking prey; consequently she often ignores the environment around her which can result in her falling into ambushes.

[From the datatracks of Kaijubot, Beast Legion Commander]
Name: Bladewing
Function: Warrior
Alt-mode: Dragon

Bio:
I was once told that when the spark that created the sisters divided, one spark was stable and the other was not. That the stable spark was placed in one protoform, and became Bladewing, while the unstable spark was placed in another, and became Flamedance. I can believe this. Bladewing is, in many ways, her sister’s polar opposite; vibrant while Flamedance is brooding, outgoing and friendly while Flamedance is aggressive and territorial.

She gives me hope for our race. Millennia of war and our time in stasis lock have done nothing to dampen her spirits. She remains as optimistic and warm as when I met her. I see this and I think that there is hope that one day we will put down our weapons for good.

She told me that she was a reserve soldier in the Militia, and that she had tried to avoid frontline duty to help her sister. I understood why when I met Flamedance, and I admired Bladewing for not abandoning her sister. I believe Flamedance understood this as well, but at the time she was trapped within herself and could not express it, and I have no desire to raise the question. It not longer matters.

Bladewing was not a brilliant soldier. She had no special aptitude for combat, and a hard time getting past the mental blocks that let her see everyone as potential friends. A minor crisis helped her move past that stage, and her disdain for conflict saw her develop techniques to end a fight in an instant.

She never stopped trying to protect her sister. I think she was the most surprised of all by increasingly closeness between Flamedance and Chillwind, and she rejoices in the fact that Flamedance can now join her in the air. It was hard for her to watch Flamedance make her stand with Chillwind, but I’ll never forget the expression on Bladewing’s face when she did; Pride. They’ve both come a long way.

Abilities:
Like her sister, Bladewing is both fast and agile, often remarkably so. Bladewing is able to fly in both modes, though her dragon mode is faster. She has become highly skilled in close combat, mastering several martial arts and weapon techniques that she uses to put opponents in stasis lock in almost no time. In robot mode she uses retractable blade attached to her arms. She also has the ability to breathe fire in her dragon mode.

Weakness:
Bladewing retains her dislike of conflict in all forms, including violence. If she fails to take down an opponent quickly she can become demoralised and lose the focus that helps her in combat. She can also lose track of what is happening around her in chaotic environments.

Name: Deepdive
Function: Aquatic Combat
Alt-mode: Sea Monster

Bio:
It has been said that Deepdive is never happy; while this is not be true it is how if often appears.

On Animatros Deepdive was a peacekeeper in the planet’s oceans, a dark realm of water and rock, a dangerous place that suited her fine. She would sometimes visit the floating or underwater cities that dotted the seas but spent most of her time underwater. Deepdive was a stern but fair enforcer of the laws of the Elders, making sure that no one caused trouble in the deepest, darkest places in the world.

It was on one of her infrequent trips to the surface that she encountered Kaijubot and his fledgling Beast Legion. After listening to his speeches she went to talk to him directly, challenging all his arguments while trying to gain a measure of the mech. Eventually, she asked him to return in a month while she considered her future.

Of the entire Legion, the decision to join was the hardest for Deepdive, for she knew there was no promise of seas and lakes on Cybertron, and that leaving Animatros may mean never seeing it again. Ultimately, she agreed to join the Beast Legion and help Kaijubot with his ambitious plan. She spent her final week on Animatros crossing the oceans to say goodbye to those she called friend.

Since her arrival on Cybertron, she has been tortured by her memories of Animatros. While she has never wavered in her conviction, she misses her home. While her team mates can find something that resembles the environments she knew, Cybertron has no great oceans for her to explore; no murky depths to call her own.

Since her reawakening she seems to have adopted an almost nihilistic attitude; gaining no satisfaction in stasis locking a Decepticon or destroying a Predacon supply base. However, this has also lead to her becoming closer to her team mates than ever before, for if nothing matters, then all that matters is what she does, and Deepdive has come to realise that Animatros is not dead as long as her team survives. She is far more sociable and forthcoming than she ever was before. Nonetheless, Kaijubot recognises that a great sadness dwells within her.

Abilities:
Deepdive is able to withstand the atmospheric pressure of almost any depth, and can operate in aquatic environments with equal ease in either robot or alt-mode. Able to generate and deliver electric charges through her armour plating. Subject’s environmental adaptations result in far-greater than average strength in low-pressure aquatic or non-aquatic environments.

Weakness:
Subject’s alt-mode suffers from severely impaired functionality while in non-aquatic environments.
