I'm not sure how having 'non-celestial' Senshi would defeat the purpose, TBH.

They'd have to come from somewhere, right? They can't just be soldiers of nowhere.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:I'm not sure how having 'non-celestial' Senshi would defeat the purpose, TBH.
Also, in the case of the manga alone, all Sailor Senshi are celestial. But in the other canons, it isn't as explicitly stated such, but the implications are still there.

I think it's on FanFiction.net somewhere. In any case, it's also an R rated fic, so posting links would not be a good idea.

Ah, aha. Well, don't want you to get into trouble, then. I can find it with a bit of searching, anyway. Sorry, dude.

No problem.
On another topic, I did want to pose a question: I am aware of the fact that PGSM will never be brought over to North America in a dubbed format, but are there any official Region One releases of it in a raw or subtitled format? I ask because I seem to recall seeing some at a Japanese DVD kiosk at a mall close to me a while back, and I discovered the PGSM Image Song Soundtrack at another Japanese merchandise store at another mall over the weekend.

No, there are no R1 DVDs of PGSM. They may have been R2 DVDs or bootlegs, but there are no R1 DVDs of PGSM.Darth Bombshell wrote:On another topic, I did want to pose a question: I am aware of the fact that PGSM will never be brought over to North America in a dubbed format, but are there any official Region One releases of it in a raw or subtitled format? Damn it. I guess I'll just have to stick to that YouTube channel that's got the TV-Nihon sub online, and hope it doesn't go away too soon.

You could just download the TV-Nihon subs here for easy direct download. I got my vids form here.Darth Bombshell wrote:Sabrblade wrote:No, there are no R1 DVDs of PGSM. They may have been R2 DVDs or bootlegs, but there are no R1 DVDs of PGSM.
Damn it. I guess I'll just have to stick to that YouTube channel that's got the TV-Nihon sub online, and hope it doesn't go away too soon.
Also, Ryuusei Fansubs subbed all the PGSM extras and those can be downloaded here. What these extras are are this.
The "DVD extras" are the behind the scenes interviews with the cast that include certain things liek deleted scenes from episodes and short questions asked to some of the staff.
"Super Dance Lesson" is a video where Usagi, Makoto, and Luna teac hte viewers soem dance moves to some of the songs from Kirari Super Live.
"Interviews" are some television interviews with some of the cast regarding some of the songs that they performed for the show.
The "Kirari Super Live" stuff includes the live stage performance of the same name, a behind the scenes look at the preparation for the performance, and an interview with the five main male cast members (Mamoru and the Shitennou's actors).
The "PGSM Act Zero" stuff includes the Act Zero episode (subebd differently form TV-Nihon's subs*), the two short episodes included wit hit (also subbed differently*), the final DVD interview that goes with the first twelve, a "location tour" featuring Miyuu Sawai (Usagi) and Jyoji Shibue (Mamoru) visiting several sites where they short on location in the series, and the final series goodbyes from nearly all the cast members.
* - Personally ,I prefer the TV-Nihon subs of Act Zero and its two shorts as they seem to have been done better.

Now, kneel before Zod! No, I'm just kidding with ya, guys.
I am flattered, though.
Ya'll know what's ironic? I've only really been this big a SM fan since mid-2009. Before than, I didn't really care for SM like I do now. Amazing how one can change so abruptly.

It's funny, really. I liked the dub show, but I never really got into it full bore like I have with Transformers or Star Wars until I found out about PGSM.

Oh, that. Isn't that what we as nerds like to do? Don't we do that with the Transformers here on this site? That is, retain all this fiction knowledge for ourselves.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:What is?RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:That is impressive, Sabrblade. Back when Sailor Moon was airing on TV, what channel did you used to watch it on? Particularly, when it was in syndication.
Everyone knows that its flagship station in Canada was YTV and in the U.S. it was Cartoon Network, but what about the other non-flagship channels it played on?
As for the non-English dubs, well... if you saw any, what channel did any of you watch any of those on (syndication or flagship regardless).
For me, it aired Monday-Friday mornings at 7:30am on what was back then known as UPN44 (now TheCW44) with several other programs from DiC, BKN, and Saban (non-Fox Kids ones, though). And, it was only the DiC dub of Classic and R. No Cloverway S/SuperS episodes.

Always YTV for me, though it fluctuated on the schedule. It was normally on weekdays at 12:00 PST when they first aired it, and then Friday nights at 6:30 around the time they brought over the Cloverway dub eps, which I think they aired at 3pm on the Saturday. I think they aired the dub versions of the three movies around Christmas 2000, though I might be wrong about that.

1. Who here has read the manga? What is your opinion of it? How would you compare it to the anime, or even PGSM? If you haven't read it, would you like to?
2. What is your opinion on the character of Mamoru Chiba? Do you like him? Dislike him? Think he's okay? What do you think of him?

I've read the manga, yes. I... like the anime better. The villains in the manga are blink and you'll miss it! No way Nephrite gets his arc there. I also liked the monsters of the day-go figure.
Mamoru? I liked him. Kinda take or leave, but he's a good guy. Got the almost obligatory tragic past going.
