To some, that statement would be considered heresy. :P

To me, well, I've always thought Beast Wars was the better series. Then again, that could just be my personal bias.

Beast Wars IS the better series....but Animated is stepping up to the challenge, and TF:A is but a young show...got time to catch up!

Animated Megatron is ALMOST as badass as Beast Wars Megatron....and I see a neck-and-neck for the #1 Big Megs in the near future!

"A Fistful of Energon:"

Lockdown's alive...somehow. Well, they never really explained what happened to Starscream after the pilot, so I guess it's par for the course.

Speaking of Starscream, he's loose and he's got himself a clone army. That oughta be interesting.

Also: Samurai Prowl. Awesome look while it lasted.

I enjoyed this one a lot.

Skywarp's(if that's who he is, and will he return?) personality was hilarious. Sunstorm was nice, a lot like Screamer. But again, did they survive the explosion and return to Earth?

Prowl was nice, and now we can contemplate what the toy will be like. Will he have the shield? Will the helmet or any armor be molded on? Will he have a hole for the EMP weapon?

Starscream is awesome. He's really become a third faction himself. Now what will happen to all those clones? I don't think ALL of them were in the finale...

When will the female/Thundercracker come along? Will we see more clones before the finale? I'd say it's probable.

We got a look at Lockdown's chain weapon that is supposed to be on his remolded toy.

Megatron totally RULES.

Poor Grimlock.

An all around good episode, and one that made me feel good about spending 22 minutes on.

I saw FFoE and I thought Prowl was a little out of character. He was still the cool guy we know and love, but it's not like him to get over-confident whatever else Rachet said was getting into him.

But his samurai armor was cool. Too bad he destroyed them. Is the toy of him any different from the regular one besides the added armor, menaing are there any parts of the main figure altered for Armored Prowl figure release/

Poor poor Skywarp.

Actully thoughs clones looked more like Starsream's actuall color and the other one looked like Sunstorm. Both were destroyed though and they didn't have sparks.

You think Starscream will be giving Sparks to his army sence things didn't work out so well with the Drones? At least now there's a real reason to have Starscream clones.

Prowl was supose to be out of Character in this episode, I mean come on even Optimus said he was out of Character.

Prowl's toy does not come with a side car, at least the Delux one doesn't. The Samurai armor was formed by the side car as that was the only thing different about his alt mode after he got the armor. It won't take a remold to make this a toy, they just need to sell maybe a ultra class toy with the included Side Car.

Bumblebee was mentioned in this episode but was never shown. Allso it should be noted that no humans appeared in this episode, at all!

There was a MAJOR error in the show with Lockdown's vehicle mode. He had an external engine block which he shouldn't have because it's formed by the EMP Generator. Not only in is this a continuity error seeing as how he lost the EMP Generator in the first episode but we allso clearly see that Prowl has it in this episode. What did Lockdown steal 2 EMP generators?

Clear something up for me guys.
Has anyone read anything about a second Prowl release with the sidecar? I hope so.

Oh, MB, the repaint deluxe Prowl w/ sidecar is coming out in a future wave, it was talked about at Botcon I believe.

We may see it again. After all, Bumblebee's turboboosters were destroyed on re-entry in "Nanosec," yet he had them in storage in "Velocity." That's not to say they were the same boosters, but the dialogue suggests that they are.

i loved Prowl's new samurai look, but he is always cool.
Starscream was as brilliant as always and frankly he's becoming my favorite character.

No it's no longer in the lake. It's on Dinobot island, Prowl just used a little ship similar to the one that the Beast Wars Ark had.

Um, I know the first release of him won't but a later release of him will:

Tekka wrote:Oh, MB, the repaint deluxe Prowl w/ sidecar is coming out in a future wave, it was talked about at Botcon I believe.

And why would you think he'd have to be Ultra sized to have the armor, Saber Prime? That would make him HUGE compared to the other Deluxe and Voyager characters. He'd be about as tall as Leader Bulkhead. Besides, they did away with the Ultra size-class with the Animated toyline (and the Movie line except for some TRU repainted ultra-sized characters).

I caught that too, but I just shrugged it off because A) the Animators probably didn't think they had any reason to alter his vehicle mode, B) they probably didn't remember that that engine was formed from the EMP generator, and C) Lockdown would look kinda silly without that engine sticking out.

Because it's possible for them to just relise the same Delux sized figure with the side car but it wouldn't fit into the packaging, they'd have to go up one size. If you think about the Beast Wars/Machines toy line their Megas weren't actully much bigger than the Delux and I don't really think the Side car would make Prowl much bigger either.

Hmm, I'm a bit of a lurker so if I do wrong gimmie a heads up,ok?

I just thought I'd let fellow UK fans know that apparently NickToons are starting season two here tomorrow morning at 8am and in the afternoon at 4.30 pm.

I happened to see it advertised while studiously ignoring my university workload this afternoon.

I haven't seen it posted anywhere else though, so just a heads up :)

A Fistful Of Energon...

*sighs* good, but not great. Could've been better.

Lockdown? Awesomesauce in a bottle.
Prowl's addiction? Nicely done.
Ratchet's piece of the episode? Great.

Overall? Meh.

Too much action, without enough story. They've shown us time and again (like Velocity) that you could have mystery, action and a story. I realize the backstory on all of the characters involved in this episode has already been laid out on the table, but I would've loved to know what happened to Lockdown inbetween nearly getting killed and showing up in working order.

Plus, by having him return (which I knew was going to happen of course, and don't get me wrong...I like the character, a lot.) it just kinda makes the whole thing with Ratchet in the last Lockdown episode..feel hollow and worthless.

Here, we thought Ratchet had finally gotten his vengeance on Lockdown for what he did to Arcee and the rest of the Autobots. It was something that Ratchet was going to have to live with....and now after all of that (leaving him to die, so cold blooded for such a noble character) here he is. Kinda just...hollows it out.

Still...leaps and bounds better than ROTC. That was just pure crap.

Welcome aboard mate! If you wanna talk to brits in particular about anything, we hang out in the UK sightings thread in the sightings forum. The one titled "Official Disgruntled Brits".

Does Sieb still redirect to Seib? I know both used to lead here...

I wish we could see the armoured Prowl figure already. I wanna know whether I should bother with standard Prowl..
