There's nine parts. This ties in with the end of Transformers Cybertron if you rember Prime proposed that they build space bridges to every planet or something but DANG this was good I can't wait to see the series. Prowl was bad ass when he goes battle mode. Prime is recourseful. BB is hilarious. Bulkhead was awesomely funny when he tried to catch the allspark "I said I GOT IT."

I did that last evening, since you posted that and I was so ashamed of myself for missing such a gutter-gem! I watched it over and over again, and laughed til I cried! Thanks for pointing that out to me! *marvels at your guttertude*

I already posted that vid on page 32. Theres also an other one there check it out.
Actually, after comparing this one to the first one you posted, Sto, they are slightly different.
Yours is like this:
Prime transforms - Bulkhead transforms - BB transforms - Ratchet transforms - SS transforms - Megs' face fades - logo.
Heavy's is like this:
Prime transforms - Bulkhead transforms - BB transforms - SS transforms - Megs transforms - logo.
Yours has Ratchet transforming and Megs' face fading, while Heavy's lacks both of those but has Megs transforming.
Not only that, but yours is the same one as the one previously reported here:
http://seibertron.com/news/view.php?id= ... f_keyword=
Which clearly states that Megs' transformation is seen, yet it isn't.
Your right.

So stop your whining and appreciate that this is finally getting a new generation of TF fans involved. AEC did not grab the imagination or interest of kids. The new TF show does. that is all that matters.
I knew people that were 7 or younger when the original aired. Those same people have voiced their opinions to me about the show as well... They don't like it.

It's the dumbing down of animation and the dialogue is just talking down at kids. This show is meant for kids and that's fine but I bet that kids are only watching because it's probably the only thing on and not because they actually like it.
Also, take a look at the Hanna-Barbera works over the years. "Tom & Jerry" for one (now a property of Warner Bros.) is another example. Now, WB is doing their best to revive the old HB style with the new "Tom & Jerry Tales" show.
I've shown a few episodes of "Battle of the Planets" to some 7 year-olds and they've asked me what TV station they could watch it on (to my surprise). So, that whole "target audience, what kids like to see today" is a load of BS.

Wasn't "Battle of the Planets" a dubbed version of that show that kepted being redubbed into english over and over again?
Anyway, episode 4 just aired and I liked it... kinda. The whole slumber party idea was sorta lame, but bringing Megs back to life was genius. He's proved he can be a threat even when he's just a head. My hats' off to Burton for his performance. He does well as he plays Megatron. However, the Angry Archer wasn't how I pictured. He was bumbling, less-than-bright, and was basically the cliché "evil genius sidekick/lackey". But it was nice to see more of Prowl's personality. His relationship with Bumblebee reminds me of Dinobot and Rattrap (and yet everyone was comparing him to Cheetor). Overall, I can't wait till the next episode.

Yeah, a lot of people I know don't like it either. I would rather watch Captain Planet and the Planeteers. Remember that show?

Granted they put more action than story in, which bothered me a bit (I liked the idea of an actual story running in the background of the movie.) but...I'm giving it a solid 8.5-9.0 out 10.0 (the movie got a solid 10.0 from me.)
I was actually excited to see Sari again, she's absolutely adorable and she rocks. It's amazing, they finally have a human character worth getting attached to.
I do love how the Autobots interact with the law enforcement. Like Batman without the vengeful vigilante angle. (Which is great for Batman, but would have never worked here.)
The Archer was (as stated earlier) irritating, but Prime's smirk as he caught him was priceless.
The whole slumber party angle looked stupid at first, but quickly went into Coolsville. Playing Twister was absolutely priceless.
And even though it was a bit hammy, Prowl's dialogue is easy enough to swallow. It's still not campy or cheesy. It's more of a PSA sounding thing...
Even though this episode wasn't quite up to par as the pilot, it's still proof that this is one great show.
And...I hate to admit this, but the Autobot toys are growing on me. Like a bad rash. Voyager Prime, Ratchet, Bumblebee and Bulkhead are mine, mine, mine. Prowl's still iffy, and Cybertron Mode Optimus is a DEFINITE pass. On the Decepticon side, however....Starscream and Cybertron Mode Megatron are must buys.
Dangit. I don't know if I'm sucker, puppet, easily swayed by a cartoon or what, but Animated has me in it's clutches. Grr...

I have a mixed feeling about the set-up of this show. I do agree with the statement made that it is better than the A/E/C series and I enjoy that they are incorporating vocab, items, and plots from G1 - BM but it still has to show a little more development in the advancement of plot.
I will state that there is potential with this series, which is a lot more than I can ever say about A - C.

Moonbase2 wrote:I have to say as far as the stories and characters go I'm fine with the show. Even the animation, while not my ideal, is ok. The only real thing that really irks me is the transformation sequences. I don't know, I guess I just want them to be a bit more involved. Prowl had the neatest transformation of them all, IMO, in G1, and here, like the rest, just does a magic spin and they've transformed. Let's not forget the gimmick that makes Transformers different.
But that's my biggest gripe. The show is cute, and I'm really liking Megatron's character a lot. When Starscream shows up again he's in deep doo doo, for sure!
I think part of the reason the transformations are done the way they are, is to save money. If you could spend all your money and show the full sequence on one TF, or save your money and show bits and pieces of transformations for all of 'em in the same scene for the same price...which one would you do? And of course, we'd all say "Save the money". I can't fault them for cutting corners to save money on that part of it. (I'm pretty sure it costs a pretty penny to produce those scenes)
Although I am worried that they might cut corners in other parts of the show, though I'm hoping that won't be the case at all.
Another thing about the transformation sequences that bother me is the Anime/Poke'mon-esque colored hyper background crap during the sequences. Again, I realize it saves money, not to mention keeps in step with the Japanese feel, but it's just ridiculous.
Still, after watching Beast Machines on YouTube (which I've yet to complete...) I have to say that any TF show is better than that. I'm stunned that they went from Emmy winning material to "I *AM* Transformed!"...that will always make my brain hurt.
And on it's own merits, TF: A is a great show, but when you compare it to BM...it's the Citizen Kane of TF shows.
