In this case, it shouldn't be too surprising that the higher-ranking villains would have their minions do all the dirty work for them. It's a common trait of evil villains to have the underlings fight while the commanders give orders from afar.

Definately seems to be the case here, especially with the Vehicon/Eradicon "mecha mooks." Although Megatron seems quite willing to jump into combat, especially if Optimus is on the battlefield.

Megs seems to be more of a hands-on villain while Starscream has more of a devout authoritarian style to his villainy.

Ive been reading that soundwave has been pestering starscream about bringing back megatron so with megatron back hopefully soundwave will become more active and do some fighting or even aerial spying

Ah, so BB is somewhat aware of Megatron's presence in his head. Cool.

The lens has a tracking device. How convenient.

Raf says he has a sister named "Pilar". Though, he refers to her as his "other sister", so he may have more than one.

Raf admits that even he doesn't know why he's able to understand BB's "language". Just... that he does.

Ratchet: "Stay here."
Raf: "No! Bumblebee needs me."
Ratchet: "...(*sigh*) Of course he does." -- but if they both go, they who's gonna be able to Bridge everyone back? Neither Jack nor Miko are there.

Next week, Starscream's got his own Dark Energon (and seems a little on the mad side).

This is definetly the best episode yet. Megatron coming back is a moment to remember, all the fight scenes were awesome, Optimus running through the heat ray was amazing, and best of all was Megatron's abusive greetings to Starscream.

There were a few stupid things, like the magic tracking device on the lens, Raf's odd connection to BB's language, and Ratchet taking Raf to the arctic, where every Autobot and Decepticon on Earth are fighting, for no reason other than Raf asking.

He knew Raf could get through to Bumblebee, based on how his connection with Bee enabled Bee to prevent Megatron from harming Raf at the base.

Another great episode. Prime just keeps 'em coming.

- All Hail Lord Megatron! He's back, and he's mad. Well, madder.

- When Optimus came leaping out of that heat ray at Starscream, only one face-taking quote came to mind.

- Nice to see Ratchet take a prominent role.

- Knock Out and Breakdown continue to be awesome.

- I don't even want to think about what's going to happen to Starscream.


Something I noticed about Ratchet. When those Vehicons attacked him, Raf, and Bumblebee, he didn't pull out a gun and fire back. Does he just not have a ranged weapon at all?

Good episode i thought with a few minor niggles.

Bumblebee can take out Ratchet with one punch? doubtful, as you see Ratchet take a blast from the 'cons at the end and just keep running.

A tracking device on a lense? really? I thought they used mirrors anyway

Wow, 2 episodes on the trot where Ratchet leaves the base plus it looks like he is outside again next week.

I'm torn between being glad to have Megatron back and miffed as i prefer Starscream as a character.



Just minor things though that didn't distract from the episode too much. on the whole TF:Prime is shaping up to be a hell of a show

I LOVED this episode. Especially that sound at the end when Starscream's "Oh *&%@" meter shatters.

That scene finally explains a few things about Raf's background. He lives in a large family where he feels like he's "lost in a crowd," as the saying goes. He does explain it's why he hangs out with Bumblebee; he finally has someone who pays some attention to him.

Now, if we can get some background on Jack...

That was GREAT! Though why Megatron can speak through BB's processors and not BB remains a mystery.

Also a mystery: why Megatron didn't take the opportunity he had to learn about the location of the Autobot's base. Then again, this series has show him to be rather singleminded; and he obviously had at least two things on his mind.

True, and Megatron even admits as such - which is unusual, considering very few Megatrons ever admit to making even a single mistake. But you have to admit, that line Megatron has at the end is epic:

My greatest mistake, Starscream? I've made a few. But there is one I don't intend to repeat!

Next week, Starscream's got his own Dark Energon (and seems a little on the mad side).

Something tells me between his failure in this episode, whatever Megatron does to him between now and next week, and his exposure to Dark Energon, Starscream's mind just finally snaps.

The episode did answer a couple of questions regarding Megatron's recovery: 1) Was he aware that Starscream was the one who put him in critical condition, and 2) What was Megatron going to do with Starscream if/when he found out. 1) Yes, though took some effort for him to recall the event and 2) We don't know, but it's obviously nothing good.

Now that Starscream has lost favor with Megatron, (to put it mildly) it wouldn't surprise me if Knock Out started positioning himself to be the #2 guy. Knock Out strikes me as a bit of an opportunist and with Starscream in disgrace, I wouldn't find it out of place for Knock Out to start laying it on thick with Megatron.

Now this is the episode I have been waiting for. I do not know why they waited so long. Finally Megatron is back! And poor Starscream....well obviously he's not out but just in BIG trouble. It's good to see more Con action again. Maybe its me but the Decepticons or more intersting to me. They have more deep, dark stories to tell.The Autobots, its always what we already know.... "Freedom is the right" and "Till all are one". I've always been a Con at heart.

From the preview at the end for the next episode it almost looks like you can tell Megatron vanquished Starscream some how, Starscream got a hold of dark Energon and now Starscream is invincable now OR just like in TFA....undead. I guess they can't think of anything else. But we'll see.

In Animated, Megs disappeared in episode 1 and was fully restored at the end of 15. Here, he vanished at the end of 5 and fully returned in 14. "So long" seems like an understatement in this case since he was inactive for 14 episodes there, while only for 9 episodes here.

Maybe its me but the Decepticons or more intersting to me. They have more deep, dark stories to tell.

They hailed from the lower classes of the caste system on Cybertron, having felt oppressed by it and thus rallied under Megatron(us)'s leadership after hearing his words of freedom and choice. Then, when Megatron and Orion Pax appealed to the High Council to discuss the oppressed feelings of the lower castes, Orion's words proved more favored by the Council than those of Megatron, and so when Orion was named Prime, Megatron felt as though Orion had betrayed him by using him to gain power of his own. Megs' followers saw Orion/Optimus as a backstabber and, when Megs promptly declared open war, chose to side with whom they viewed would be their savior/liberator/rightful Prime: Megatron. Most of the Cons had been industrial workers, gladiator thugs, miners, the Constructicon branch of the construction caste, the remnants of the Seeker Air Command loyal to Starscream, a few scientific minds serving under Shockwave, and swarms of psychopathic Minicons commanded by Soundwave.

For those of you who still believe that Airachnid has or will have a vehicle mode, chances are that she may just will have one. To proof that, let me ask those who don't think that Arachnid has a vehicle mode. Remember the episode where Skyquake saw the jet that Agent Fowler was driving, he immediately scanned it and became the base for his vehicle mode. Now, in the episode, "Crisscross", Airachnid teams up with the MECH terrorist organization led by Silas himself to go after Jack and Arcee. Because Silas drives a helicopter, it is extremely likely that Airachnid will scan his helicopter as a base for her official vehicle mode. For this reason, before Airachnid could hunt down Jack and Arcee in any way, she may say to herself like, "Jack has just ridden Arcee to get away from me. I want to go after them, but since that my ship is destroyed by Jack, I know that running or crawling on foot may not be enough. What do I have to do to achieve this?" So, after she observes Silas' own helicopter, she may say, "You know what? I think I have a brilliant idea," thus, will immediately scan Silas' helicopter as her official altmode to best suit her trademark name, since that the spider limbs attached to her back can used to form rotor blades, hence, the episode name, "Crisscross", just like Skyquake used Fowler's jet as a base for his vehicle mode. Oh, by the way. Because I actually live in Canada and not the States, the good news is that "Operation: Breakdown" and "Crisscross" will be aired a month earlier in Canada, as being compared to the original U.S. airdates. Therefore, I'm extremely excited to see to this all turns out.

The problem with that, is that helicopters are EXTREMELY noisy, and can be heard from a great distance away. Airachnid prefers stealth, which means she'd have to give up her favorite methods just for an extra bit of speed. The part about her scanning a helicopter because it's there and because it's kind of the same to what Skyquake did is also a pretty massive gap in logic.

A "Vehicle Mode" is only ONE KIND of an "Altmode" that a Transformer can have. "Vehicle Mode" is not the universal term to refer to every Transformer's other non-Robot Mode. "Alternate Mode" is the correct term.

Have you forgotten how fast she was? She's no slowpoke. She extremely agile and extraordinarily swift. She'd have little-to-no trouble keeping up with Arcee and Jack.

Plus, she's got her webbing that she can use to slow them down without problem. All it'd take would be one web shoot and they're goners.

Oh, by the way. Because I actually live in Canada and not the States, the good news is that "Operation: Breakdown" and "Crisscross" will be aired a month earlier in Canada, as being compared to the original U.S. airdates. Therefore, I'm extremely excited to see to this all turns out.

I can't wait to see what Megatron does to Starscream. I loved it when Starscream tried to transform and get away and Megatron just caught him and tossed him.
