Web shooters don't have to be organic. Spider-Man's weren't, at least outside of the movies.
Red 50 wrote:So, you think that she's a NORMAL cybertronian with ORGANIC web shooters?
Hmm, actually, that's original.

And see, my dad was right; those boy scout skills really could come in handy when facing an alien threat!
Shadowman wrote:This is Sabrblade we're talking about. His ability to store trivial information about TV shows is downright superhuman.

Sabrblade wrote:The opening has a very strong Star Wars feel to it (like the first scene to show up after the scrolling text in each movie).
Janus Prime wrote:I like the episode and all, but if Airachnid is too dark to be Blackarachnia, why choosing a spider bot? I mean, couldn´t they come up with something new?

Yeah, that´s my point. If there´s already a very similar character in the fiction, why going that way? Why not a fem bot called Nightbird that transforms into a Valkyrie or something? why using a concept that was used recently?

And how!Shadowman wrote:You know, I always wondered, why do you word your posts like that? Like it's a news post or something. Loosen up, you sound way too official.
Actually, I'd think that her "walks on spider legs" mode could be considered her altmode, just that it could be one of an alien species that resembles a humanoid spider.Shadowman wrote:Second, Airachnid doesn't have a beast mode. Her robot-mode legs simply curl up behind her and her spider-legs do the walking. I guess it has something to do with differences in mobility.
Unless we get a reason for her "Air" sounding name, I'd simply chalk up her name to begin a simple case of "Because poor literacy is kewl!"Shadowman wrote:I seriously doubt she'd have an aerial-based alt-mode, since that would completely ruin the spider-theme they set up. That would be like introducing Springer, giving him helicopter-kibble, have him talk about how much he likes flying, then having him transform into a bicycle.

Taking a character and giving him or her a different name is not creating a new one, not in my book at least.
All and all I think it´s weird, but what ever, each episode is better than the previous one, that´s the important thing... still waiting for the show to get really good though.
