Ever seen the Nolan Batman films? Recall how Bats doesn't kill even when the enemy is down, and yet he still comes out on top. Jack could have struck Megs, but he's a better person than that. He took the better route, rather than sink down to the same level as the Cons.

I think we should extend that and say Batman in general. Actually, while we're at it, the majority of superheroes.

Well this was a change in pace........Megatron did something. Seriously though this episode was decent. Megatron is finally showing some sorts of intelligent and fear driven horror pretty much leaving Starscream to die. So now Starscream is without a home and he must join the Autobot great woopdi-primusdamn-doo why can't we kill this asshat already?

A giant homicidal robot that would happily leave your planet a husk, that'd kill you, kill your family, kill your friends is laying there and it wasn't his place to do so? really? I think most people would disagree. You can argue that Prime wouldn't but then Prime is an alien and thinks differently.

It was a pretty good episode even though we know Starscream survives which is a good thing as he is one of the best characters on TF:Prime. As much as i am enjoying Bulkhead getting a lot of screen time, i'd like to see Ratchet get a lot more exposure. That said i am happy they are keeping Bumblebee on the sidelines.

Yes, yes it was his place to stop a genocidal killbot who had already destroyed his civilization and has plans and the means to do so here on Earth. Megatron's already caused the near-extinction of Cybertronians and wants to do so here to humanity.

And what's all this crap about Optimus not killing Decepticons? Damnit, Prime Optimus! This is why I like movie Optimus. He cuts the crap and goes sraight for killing everyone! Prime Optimus, learn from movie Optimus and stop teaching the Autobots morals! The war would have been over from the start if movie Optimus was in charge.

Movie Optimus could learn a thing or two about mercy and compassion from Prime Optimus. With those words by Jack alone, Prime Optimus is looking better and better than Movie Optimus since he's starting to fit better into the "Optimus Prime" mold than Movie Optimus ever did. Heroic, compassionate, considerate, and above all, righteous.

Movie Optimus, however, is no better than the Cons at all.

So? The only thing that matters is that movie Optimus gets the job done. While Prime Optimus dances around the only solution.

Movie Optimus was terrible at his job. He killed Blackout, then, while Megatron and Starscream were both still standing, decided to go off and just look for Sam. As for getting the job done, remember how he tried talking it out with Sentinel rather than actually killing the traitor where he stood? Actually that was the more heroic thing to do, but it's hardly getting the job done.

No, it was only after countless deaths, the devastation of a major city (And likely MOST major cities) and the near-obliteration of Earth that he actually got off his ass to do something.

Jack held no animosity towards Megatron. For him to suddenly give in to such dark emotions would be out of character for him. He's not Anakin Skywalker.

Miko kinda rushs too much,but it has been posted before,there are consequences.

We finally know why Megatron didnt execute Starscream in Out of his head.

The relation between characthers was show preety well.

Jack saving his friends instead of taking Megatron was pretty cool,showing his priorities

Megatron is kinda a though,he doesnt think anyone can defy him.

Though,why didnt Optimus,Ratchet,and Bumblebee didnt go looking for them,after spending so much time in that cave?

Actually he does, and he mentions he enjoys watching Starscream scheming around him. It was when that scheming started being dull and predictable that Megatron decided it was time to lead him into an abandoned mine, and kill him executioner-style.

Ok So I just had wacthed the last two episodes. I had to catch up and watch both eps back to back cuz I had family in town this past week and what with work and all the week before I hadn't seen the last two eps at all.
I thought the episode "Metal Attraction" was kinda monotonous. It was ok but just had a really lame fight scene that took up half the whole episode. They keep having these episodes where they fight over a particular object or artifact and then they forget about it by the next episode. Oh these silly MacGuffins .
I thought the next episode "Rock Bottom" was pretty good. They used Megatron!! He had lines!!! WOW! (sarcastic).
Megatron and Starscream shared some good classic bantering. Its been awhile. It is good to see Megs back. I also enjoy hearing Megatrons (Frank Welker) when he speaks or yells Starscreams name. He uses the same inflictions and tones as he did in G1. Its great! He really brings back that classic Decepticon leader-tone to everything.
All in all after a long slump the series seems to be taking a slight slope upward now. Lets hope it keeps going up.

They need to be careful with Starscream a bit - his overall design and expressions/voice make him so awesome, but he's turning into just a big loser, rather than the opportunistically ruthless villain from the beginning of the series, someone who you could see why was leading in megatron's absence.

Beginning:
Win: Executes cliffjumper
Win: Passive-aggressively questions megatron upon his return ("surely you've amassed legions of for your army of decepticons while you were away")
Win: Gets the F out before space bridge blows, abandoning megatron
Win: Awakens skyquake (and nice touch how *he's* not going to jump in the fight)
Win: Finds Megatron's body and yanks out dark energon
Win: Notices laserbeak/soundwave
Lose: Can't kill megatron for good
Win: Still gets control of decepticons

Later:
Lose: Wheeljack smokes him and about 40 vehicons, Starscream whines "You can't possibly fight all of us??"
Lose: Bulkhead walks through the energy magnet and beats him down, Starscream whines something like ("Why won't you die??")
Win: Scratches Knock-out's paint
Lose: Megatron comes back, beats his ass
Lose: Gets arm blown off after saying "You can't harm me while dark energon runs through me!"
Win: Rescues Brakedown, forces him to try to kill bulkhead (apparently without soundwave reporting this one to megatron)
Lose: About to get executed by Megatron
Win: Gets lucky when arcee comes
Lose: Doesn't quite escape cave-in (loved that seen of him flying effortlessly through the falling rubble, would have loved to see him get out cleanly, if anything it would show starscream as not a complete failure always, since he'd be going back in anyway)
Win: manages to climb out at least, (but would be better if he *flew* out!)
Lose: Mental dilemma, goes back in, autobots abuse him and trap him in
Lose: Megatron finds him

See? I don't want him to be just some wimpy whiner who despite himself somehow was near the top of the decepticon ranks, he's not even an interesting tragic loser. He's turning into Waspinator or something.

I'm not sure what you're basing all of that on. That "mental dilemma" was him realizing that no matter what happens, he's screwed. He reports Megatron's death, Soundwave will dig Megatron out, and Megatron will kill him. He digs Megatron out personally, Megatron will kill him. That's not a mental dilemma, that's Starscream realizing he just hit a no-win scenario and deciding to at least try to bluff his way out.

Also, how is "not quite" escaping the cave-in a lose? Because he actually came out on top there, literally and figuratively. You may recall Megatron was practically embedded in stone, and Bulkhead was stuck in his Atlas situation, and they never said what happened to Arcee. I'd say, grading on a curve, he won there.

I'm also confused as to your definition of "Whining." Pointing out to someone that a fight is 40-to-1 isn't whining, nor is questioning someone how they're surviving getting hit in the face with a weapon that would kill anyone else.

He's not turning into Waspinator, he's turning into Starscream.

I loved starscream at the beginning because Prime took a new twist on him, playing up his cowardice and ego with physical weakness but countered by his brazen scheming, evasiveness, ruthlessness and alertness/paranoia/astuteness. He's clever enough to get everyone into trouble, but also get himself out of trouble. And actually, his overt whining is refreshing for a bad guy, just on top of all the fails, starscream is close to turning into a punching bag to me.

I just don't want him to turn into a skinny little decepticon gettin' blowed ups all the time - I'm not saying that's happening, I'm saying it's close to.

Agreed, they should put him in stasislock if they are smart. That way he doesn't use up any energon and can't reactivate without outside assistance. It's better then death or prison.

But that would probably make too much sense, they'd probably let him walk around the base with someone like Bulkhead to keep a eye on him.
