I approve of this idea
And then after the show is over, something like a "Transformers: Prime - The Iacon Almanac" book would finally give her a name retroactively. :-B

Or, replace the word "Almanac" with "Database", since the latter term actually exists in the show itself. ;)

Or she never has a name and in the book she is just called Sierra's friend :D

Or I'll just buy 3 of them...maybe 7...okay 10...

Old army building habits never die.

We're well overdue for introducing another named Con, as Shockwave was the most recent. Maybe Bombshock will have some additional speaking roles around the time Airachnid breaks out of stasis and uses her freaky mind control on the Insecticons?

Now I'm picturing a four-way tussle between Autobots, Decepticons, Insecticons, and Predacons.

Now that Shockwave in spending more of his time on Earth, and show off of his combat skill more often than ever before, is he now considered to be the main muscle for the Decepticons, now that Skyquake, Breakdown, and Dreadwing are already killed, due to his tall, bulky, muscular size? :CON:

His size doesnt have anything to do with it, he is just a born bad ass, almost as much as Soundwave.

No, for the sake of God... Just no. It both casec it would be 1) too boring 2) to obvious 3) to unoriginal.

About Bombshock, I agree that propably it is only a Insection commander and I don't thinik he play some bigger role.

Did now, when it seems that we have toomany Bots in the show, maybe it is finally time to reunite some Bot with Cliffjumper? I would love to see some o Prime's mate ended as a Predaking breakfast.

I have that strange filing that Shockwave suposed to be two separate characters. Tank as his alt mode don't fit his personality.

Shockwave's personality is a bulky, logical guy who spends a lot of time in his lab screwing with his ancestors and has a fetish for robobeasts. He was once Megatron's first lieutenant, and also craves "Logic-O's." Sounds like a logical tank to me.

Besides, you'd logically think Shockwave would get bulkier and more offensive to assure he doesn't have another run-in from big guys that try and succeed to bite off one of his limbs.

Logic.

Project: Predacon was an interesting episode. Apparently (and understandably) Predaking was not the first Predacon Shockwave cloned, and it's nice to see that Shockwave had some way of finding the ones he sent off world (and flummoxed Starscream). Though I get a TF: Cybertron vibe from the fact the Preds influenced Earth mythology (one wonders if humans had anything to do with the Preds falling to "the ravages of time").

I do have to wonder, what happened to all the residents of Jasper? We haven't heard much about their fate since the first four eps of the season.

Nice oblique reference to the Dinobots, though. Although Gregg Berger is slated to join the cast (or provide a guest voice), still have to wonder if one of them will show.

Last we heard, they were evacuated to safety. And since they're not all really that important to the show (outside the three kids and June), they'll probably take a backseat to the events that play out the rest of the season. ;)

What if smokescreen became the new prime? Would we have the same problem that occurred in season three (i think) of g1? Rodimus becomes this whinny cry baby about too much responsibility. It would of been interesting, if they could pull it off right. I also love how starscream mocks both Shockwave and megatron about another "scavenger hunt" only to be told i micro chipped them. So now the decepticons have the upper hand again, gonna be interesting to see how this plays out. Also do you think the predacons can talk? and you think we'll see the dinobots anytime soon?

We'll have to see in show. The toy line says they can (and some of them may/are planning a coup of sorts), but what's in the toy bios and what the writers of the show choose to depict has always been two different things.

TheBossII wrote:and you think we'll see the dinobots anytime soon?

Last I heard, Gregg Berger, who voiced Grimlock in G1 and the Fall of Cybertron game, is slated to join the cast. Whether that means he's playing Grimlock or some other character has not been revealed, so the Dinobots in series is still a big question mark.

Well, on one hand, there has existed more than one Prime in the Aligned continuity before. On the other hand, the power, knowledge, and wisdom of the Primes has been placed into the Matrix, and there's only one Matrix. So, for Smokescreen to become the new Prime, they'd have to either off Optimus or have him step down from being a Prime (which would revert him back to Orion Pax), neither of which I'd imagine Hasbro would let the writers do.

I also love how starscream mocks both Shockwave and megatron about another "scavenger hunt"

Just like all the ignorant "haters" that are sick of said plot device they've carried since the first season.

So now the decepticons have the upper hand again,

Yeah...for the next two episodes until Optimus "saves the day."

I hate Autobots. :BANG_HEAD:

gonna be interesting to see how this plays out.

Not really. The outcome is predictable, though I'm excited for the introduction of new Predacons (if that happens).

Also do you think the predacons can talk

Maybe if they evolve. They clearly show intelligence, so if they can figure out how to speak and achieve transformation capability, they'll be in good shape.

and you think we'll see the dinobots anytime soon?

No. They stayed on Cybertron when Magnus left for Earth, and I doubt the animators are going to fork over that much money for Dinobot animation models when they've already got the Predacons and Optimus 2.0 to deal with.

I didn't mind the scavenger hunt at all. It was pretty much season 2 that focused on them searching for the iacon relics? Also that explains the autobot graveyard in season 1 well sort of. The hardest part is waiting till the next episode. I loved the music for shockwave when he comes out the excavation site, Makes him 100% more bad ass. Also why does Ratchet say I'm glad he was inexperienced enough not to follow orders? It just seemed so out of place.

In a way i hope the predacons do talk also it would be a shame, it adds more mystery to them if they don't talk. No dinobots damn, but they could show up in the movie :D

By not following orders, he both saved Optimus's life, and made him more powerful than ever. And having Optimus back a) boosted their numbers and b) provided a much-needed boost to morale that only Optimus could have provided.

TFP SO FAR:

Overall, I like a lot. Of course with year 3 of TFP happening whatever was strange about the first two seasons has had time to sink in. Also, the latest Episode catered to a lot of assumptions, so what's not to like about thinking you're being told that you're getting what you assume you are ready and waiting for? (ie Dinobots). Predacons as ancient Mythos will be fun, but this is a cousin concept to the ancient buildings in the Bayverse and is nowhere NEAR original, so as much as I like it anyway,no applause from me, this is still a selfishly written show that ignores the canon of its' own continuity family for two scraplets to make a buck. Time will show how inferior this series is, you mark my words.

Optimus: New mode isn't really a Megatron killer, just a horde of henchmen killer. Hope there are more hidden weapons than just the multi-gun and missile launcher.

Megz: Thrown into a power core and still good? Get stuffed.

Smokescreen: complaining now about not being a Prime. Writers: kiss my butt. What? says Ratchet - I gotta stop acting like a Rookie, says smoke. Well done, you figured it out for yourself: You are worthy of being a surviving former G1 Autobot soldier. I'm very proud of you, again, my old toy.

Wheeljack: Got a problem with Ultra Magnus now? Gonna be the new Emo Arcee/Starscream sop story with a scarred past? I expect this character clash to blow up at a very inopportune moment for the Autobots, but if it results in a counterattack on UMags character by W/Jack the writers are hacks. Umag is a soldier, character has no role during office hours. Bottom line is military is military- you either can take it or just talk like you can but actually run (away) alone. Loss of respect from me for Wheeljack till I see this dissent sorted out with U/Mag.

Predaking: No known weakness. Boring. Nice freeze trick by Ratchet and U/Mags combat plan. Am looking forward to the other Preds with enthusiasm and am sorry the Insecticons didn't get a mix of looks.

Shockwave: An early trailer had Shockwave sending a msg to Megz about [distorted] breaking loose and wrecking the lab. At the time I assumed it was "Predacons", distorted only for the trailer to make us assume it was "Dinobots". Now, I am almost confident it is "Predacons" and anticipate a 3-way (maybe 4 way if A/Chnid is woken up) BUT: what are the survival chances of a rogue Predacon brood if they are all microchipped by Shockwave again before they bust out?

Ratchet: I have a different take on his character profile after his near catatonic reaction to the assumed death of Optimus- Ratchet is VERY adaptable. He has no fear of his own survival but he has a huge fear of a universe without an Autobot cause. In it, he can still survive, but Autobots can't without a Prime, and the Autobot cause can't survive without Optimus Prime. It can be replaced by some newfangled cause but not survive. The existing Autobot cause is a component and Ratchet "needed that" component to continue his work as a healer of wounded Autobots and wounded Autobot ways.
"Everyone has a hobby.Even people who say they don't still have one under another name.If we're sick, injured, we still go to it and get down to see how it is.If it needs something, we bring it,make sure the attention is perfect. It exercises our care and protection and gives us back philosophies. It's a living thing to us,and is the most perfect way to teach a young person how to be towards a living thing. It's something that should never be taken away."
