Okay, so over a week ago I watched the first episode on vacation. I liked it, but it still managed to make me appreciate Animated much more. However, the fact that it isn't anime makes it more tolerable for me.
Please note: If you think I may be joking, I probably am.

G1 had Japanese animation. As did Animated. ;)

I will swear to my grave that G1 is not anime.
Animated was "neo-anime", which isn't my favorite, but I like it a little better than the conventional.

True, G1 was not anime, but it was still animated primarily by the Japanese studio Toei Animation (among other Asian animation studios). ;)

It's just the style of anime, not where it comes from, that I don't like. You could do anime in an American or UK studio and I still wouldn't like it.

'Partners" is another reason why Starscream is my favorite TF character.

It used to be Prowl.

I should change my name from prowl123 to starscream123.

Not happening.

Back on topic, Partners really made me feel bad for Starscream. All he wants is to be the leader instead of the follower, but every time he tries to achieve his goals, Megatron beats him down.

Also, Starscream vs. Arcee + AWESOME!

Short answer: We don't know.

Long answer: Nothing's been said of the next episode. Though, there are 26 episode of the first season. 20 have thus far aired. Season 2 will begin with episode 27 airing on November 28. So, we have six more episodes to air at some point between now and then, within a matter of four months.

I figured that much, I just never heard a of a TV series taking an entire year on one season and then the next season following immediately after.
Television is so sporadically random nowadays. I miss the days of TV seasons lasting from Sept-May and then in the summer we have reruns.

Saw "Partners" on my flight back to California today, and it made Starscream my new favorite character of any continuity. This episode made him a whole lot more complex. It's nice to see Screamer go rogue once more. Almost seems like tradition at this point.
PLEASE contact me if you have any of the following, or know where I can find them:

Cybertron Leader Class Optimus Prime's wings

RTS Deluxe Optimus Prime's sword

Cybertron Voyager Vector Prime's sword

Thank you.

Why would he have to make another set of Combaticons when one already exists? Shockwave created Bruticus Maximus back on Cybertron in the ancient past.

The difference vetween Transformers and other shows,is that they are in war. They battle not only for a ideology, but for survival.

One decission does not affect only they, but the future of their race.

Optimus was willing to kill Megatron in Darkness rising.

Bulkhead killing a Decepticon Trooper.

Sabrblade wrote:Plus, in their second encounter with MECH, it was only Breakdown, not Bulkhead, who used lethal force.

I`m pretty sure Bulkhead swinged his mace at them.

Sabrblade wrote:As for the Vehicons, they aren't persons. They're drones programmed with limited sentience. Their minds are more like that of AI systems. They aren't alive.

There is evidence in the show for that.Unless the Exouds,or the comic mentions it,there is nothing that says that.Besides, didnt the troopers decided to bring an medical specialist to repair Megatron,in Deus ex Machina?
Sabrblade wrote:Makeshift was never confirmed dead.

He was never confirmed alive either.

Sabrblade wrote:He's just out of commission for now until the writers decide to use him again. They admitted to bringing him in too soon and are opting to not use him again until a more appropriate occasion.

If a bomb to the face cant kill him, what can?Didnt the writers said they werent bringing him back,in botcon this year?

I really don't think the writers for this show have read Exodus. I'm also going to assume the writers of Exodus haven't read Exodus, because that book can't even keep it's own continuity straight, much less continuity in relation to WfC and Prime.

Knocking them unconscious, or at least knocking them aside, isn't the same as killing them.

TulioDude wrote:There is evidence in the show for that.Unless the Exouds,or the comic mentions it,there is nothing that says that.Besides, didnt the troopers decided to bring an medical specialist to repair Megatron,in Deus ex Machina?
This was stated in the January 2001 Hasbro Q&A:
Dave Hartman: Supervising Director/Art Director wrote:They are officially called Vehicons and they are specialized drones who do the grunt work, handle particularly mundane or dangerous tasks while also being soldiers in the Decepticon Army. They do have a level of sentience, since they talk and respond individually, but we do not know what their past is; the writers haven't told us yet.
They are drones with some level of sentience.

TulioDude wrote:He was never confirmed alive either.
If they want to use him again later on when it become more appropriate to do so, then he can't be dead, as they have stated again and again that when they kill someone in this show, he/she stays dead.

TulioDude wrote:If a bomb to the face cant kill him, what can?
Lots of TFs have been blown up without dying. Comic relief purposes aside, look at Waspinator, for example.

TulioDude wrote:Didn't the writers said they werent bringing him back,in botcon this year?
All they said was that that he was too powerful to bring back right now, and won't be used "until they decide to bring him back."

Since they threw in that possibility, there's a chance that he may yet live. And since he has that chance, he can't truly be among the dead since those who are dead are beyond saving in this show.

In a roundtable discussion at SDCC, the creators said that, while they are trying to tell their own story, they're also trying to keep things from contradicting Exodus, and have even drawn influence from in such things like Bumblebee's lost voice. What they do is they pitch an idea to Hasbro, and Hasbro makes sure that it doesn't interfere with the book or the games too much before giving them the yes or no. The book and games are being used as the "ancient history" of this show.

I think the more the show progresses the more it will diverge from the book. In a way i hope it does, i'm reading it now and frankly it is just about average. I don't want TF:Prime to be average as it is based on average material.

Ive read exodus and although it is an interesting read, it doesnt hold up in the folklore in my opinion as it was written LAST YEAR. The Combaticons were renegades with different identities whos sparks were locked away in a Decepticon detention center and Starscream brought them back to life under his control. Therefore Starscream created the Combaticons in 1985......post War.
Personally I dont appreciate when the writers try to change and re-write what has already taken place and has been documented 25+ years ago. I choose not to follow what a writer will say tomorrow just cuz they decided to make it up today.

Man I hope they bring him back, he's my favourite character so far, along with Skyquake. Why do all my fav characters die!?

Partners was pretty badass, though I'm kinda starting to get tired of the Autobots flat out refusal to kill ANYTHING. Also how come Bumblebee could hit that tiny immobilizer while it was spinning through the air but not land one shot on Airachnid's big helicopter bootay?

Therefore Starscream created the Combaticons in 1985......post War.
Personally I dont appreciate when the writers try to change and re-write what has already taken place and has been documented 25+ years ago. I choose not to follow what a writer will say tomorrow just cuz they decided to make it up today.

What are you talking about? This isn't G1, they don't have to reuse it's stories.

Why would he have to make another set of Combaticons when one already exists? Shockwave created Bruticus Maximus back on Cybertron in the ancient past.

I really don't think the writers for this show have read Exodus. I'm also going to assume the writers of Exodus haven't read Exodus, because that book can't even keep it's own continuity straight, much less continuity in relation to WfC and Prime.

So then theres no consistency to anything. Its all just made up from one year to the next. Make a new series, then scrap it, make another new series, then scrap it, make a comic book series, then scrap it, make a some movies, then scrap it. What the hell are we doing here then if nothing connects and G1 is constantly dismissed.

I guess what Im trying to say is that if someone in todays time is gonna write about what happened before they came to earth then should look at G1 as a blueprint and use that to dictate what the write about instead of changing everything as if G1 didnt really happen.
