Because he's a sentient person.Scatterlung wrote:Why does Unicron need to talk at all?
Unicron spoke a LOT in Armada. He was talking all kinds of smack to Optimus and Galvatron. In Energon, he and Megatron would bicker and argue with each other, yelling back and forth at one anohter inside Megatron's head. So, Unicron was far from silent in those series.Scatterlung wrote:Personally, I think it would've been far more menacing of him to only utter one or two phrases, rather than bother his godly self with actually talking to the lowly Megatron.
A simple "No." and a flick of his ethereal wrist to knock Megs off the volcano would be enough to show how little he cares of any other life form. At the moment he's just coming across as a big spiky jerk instead of a god.
Long, intimidating silences. Like the A/E/C Unicron but with brains.
Anyone else think so?

You do realize that he wasn't originally made by the creators of the G1 movie and cartoon to be a god, right? He was originally just a giant robot built by a monkey scientist. He was later retconned into being a god. So, his being a "person" preceded his established godhood as a character.Scatterlung wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Because he's a sentient person.Scatterlung wrote:Why does Unicron need to talk at all?
And thats why a speaking Unicron is a bad idea, because it makes him a 'person'. Suddenly he's not a God anymore, an embodiment of chaos, a force of Nature as Optimus described him, but a person, with human emotions and motivations. We've got enough of those.
If he were a manifestation of a physical force, he would not have any need for a voice, no need to reason or communicate, he would serve his function and that would be it. That is what makes a 'force of nature' terrifying, its unreasonable in its duty to do whatever it does. If Unicron is indeed that force of evil or whatever, he wouldn't need a voice, he would just do evil. Eviling over here, eviling over there, without a care for what anybody thought or would say.
Maybe he needs a voice then to make bargains with lowly mortal transformers? Well, personally, I've never agreed with that either. He's the chaos bringer. HE brings the chaos. He shouldn't need little heralds to do that for him. In that sense, this Unicron delivers.
I JUST don't like that he has a voice.

Too late, Vector Prime already described Primus as a really nice guy.
Also, TFWiki claimed that the one holding the Magnus Hammer in the big action shot of the Original 13 is Solus Prime, and if you look closely that does certainly appear more feminine. It also claims that the one with the large horns (The only one you can easily pick out in all three images, aside from Glowy-Ball Prime) is Liege Maximo. So there's three confirmed. (Including Prima) I thought it would be easier, especially since we're already well-acquainted with another three. (Vector Prime, Alpha Trion, and the Fallen--I'll start calling him Megatronus Prime when he stops being the Fallen)
Still, Glowy-Ball Prime is proving to be the most curious of them all. What kind of crazy power does he have, I wonder. Perhaps he is the Guardian of Hamsters.
Agreed. These would be their best guesses at best. Though, that is SO Vector Prime! Just paint him gold and his beard white and there you go.Red 50 wrote:Actually, I don't think that TFWiki claimed them to be, rather, it said they resembled them.
Probably as much as when Captain Fanzone had the same car again and again in Animated.Red 50 wrote:What are the chances that June is gonna have the exact same car, that she lost, in the future again?

Or, they can just make up an altmode for the toy. Like how The Fallen didn't transform in ROTF, but still had a transforming toy.

Firebrand wrote:I kinda doubt Unicron's body survived the possible billions of years of cosmic turbulence being the core of a new, constantly shifting planet. From what I understand his essence survived but his body was broken down. I think Prime said his limbs became the planet's metallic minerals or something. So while he can still make mountainous avatars of his likeness out of the planet I don't think we'll be seeing a true Unicron just yet.

Well, they did say at BotCon that they aren't planning any toys of the 13. So, they can make whatever awesome designs they want for them without needing to work in an altmode.Dead Metal wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Action Master Uni?Firebrand wrote:Besides, if he doesn't transform into anything, how can there be a toy?![]()
Or, they can just make up an altmode for the toy. Like how The Fallen didn't transform in ROTF, but still had a transforming toy.
Or Hasbro will just make an impressive, articulated, detailed and show accurate action figure or, maybe just a statue.
I don't see why Hasbro would go through the trouble of designing Unicron and the 13 without alt-modes just to make up a stupid alt-mode for the toy and therefore jeopardising the design.

Well, since she's said to have been a weaponsmith, maybe it's just that the hammer was passed down to great warriors throughout the ages, until finally reaching Ultra Magnus. Then again, while Exodus did say that he weilded A hammer, it didn't speicifically spell out that it was THE Magnus Hammer. So there's the possibility that she could still have it in Exiles.SirSoundwaveIV wrote:I'm curious as to what Ultra Magnus (animated/exodus) connection is to Solus, because she (or one of the others, but it seems highly likely to be her) was holding a hammer that was very similar to Animated Ultra Magnus' hammer...and exodus used a hammer as well.

No, it's just that the pre-WFC events seen in these flashbacks were drawn in the Prime art style to make it better match up with the overall look and feel of the episode. It does not negate the two from being in the same continuity family. In anything, this flashback should help reinforce the connection between the two, as they drew the WFC design of the Core in the Prime art style to cement that they are indeed the same Core.BeastProwl wrote:Well, that old flashback was on Cybertron before the great war right? So if WFC Is a prequel, then cybertron went prime style, cybertron style, then back to prime styling? This is just more evidence of what I was saying before, I think WFC and Prime are not as closely related as they want us to believe. I believed it up until the Primus and the 13 vs unicron bit. That's what sold me on WFC Being a standalone series.

Very easily: Ground Bridge.

I actually meant that Bulkhead is needed by the Autobots in battle. He can't leave to Miko in Japan when he's needed by his comrades to kick Decepticon ports.
Although then they could bring in Ironhide. While Bulkie protects her, Hide can slag the 'cons.
NOTE: this is all hypothetical. None of this is canon (so far).
