One word........Pointless.
Get to back Megatron already. Enough with the story arc crap. I just watched 20min of something that does not progress the story at all. Now the writers are just jerking us around. I'm so tired of Megatron always being incapacitated in every frigging universe or series now. I don't see any reason to make so many filler eps. Good writers could come up with continuos connective stories from one ep to the next And not have to drag it out.

It's like if I talk really slow and say,

I..........have..........to...............go..............to................the..............store............today.

And saying that I have a lot to say.

Get to the point!
Starscream had the Harvester for a whole 3min and then it was destroyed and then he flew away. That's it?! All this waiting around all week for that? Waste of time. This ep was more about Miko's dumb book report than anything else.
10 episodes into this series already and I'm still waiting every week for the story to continue and pick up where it left off. Definitely my least fav episode. It's not even favored at all in my book.

Well, this is my favorite episode, but I agree with you on everything else. The only thing this episode did was give us 2 new Decepticons. None of the other episodes did anything at all. Except maybe Convoy and the 5 parter.

Im not saying it takes brain power to do those things I was explaining to Downshift that thinking we need to take it slow for children isn't necessarily true.
Shadowman wrote:That was fast storytelling because stories were over in 20 minutes. You're complaining about how this series doesn't move on with it's main story, well, G1 didn't even have one of those. Beast Wars did, Animated did, the Unicron Trilogy did, G1 had no such thing.

I never said anything about G1 having a main story or not. Im just saying that this series needs to move on with "it's" main story since it seems to have one. Cuz if the story and writing is so rich why intersperse it with idle information? There are better ways to introduce new characters and plots while still moving on with its recent developments without having to drop a part of the cast to do so.
Shadowman wrote:So then what's the problem? Kids have short attention spans, so, filler stories.

I was talking about kids dont need filler stories cuz their attention spans are so short its better just to move on with the main story.
Shadowman wrote:We're only 10 episodes in to a 26 episode season. Not even the half-way point. So you don't know that everything that's been done so far was pointless.

Im sure that everything serves to a greater purpose of the story but Im simply pointing out this on going theme they have of having a huge occurrence take place then just dropping it for months at time. It can be and is a huge nuisance to many viewers.
But thank you Shadowman once again for kindly trying to prove me dumb.

Animated did something similar. Otherwise self-contained stories, interjected with bits and pieces that would come to a head later on. G1 is guilty of the same thing, minus the story. Megatron has some new ultimate weapon, makes a big deal out of it, and at the end, the Autobots destroy it and it's never spoken about again. It's called Status Quo.

You don't know they're "dropping" any of this because we actually have no idea what the endgame is this time around. Maybe the Harvester comes into play later on. Maybe the Energon released by it does. Maybe Starscream finds another and managed to mass produce them. maybe Soundwave does and uses it to bring Megatron back. Maybe they find out it's reverse engineered bits of Unicron and using it is going to bring him to Earth. Just because the good guys win at the end like almost every piece of fiction ever written, doesn't mean they're just dropping it.

Prime Breakdown and Knock Out To Get Action Figures?

Postby psj333 » Tue Mar 15, 2011 10:12 am

Last week, when I saw Breakdown and Knock Out in the Prime series, they're awesome. Furthermore, they both survived their own fates in the debuts, along with Wheeljack. While it is very likely that Breakdown will get an action figure, Wheeljack and Knockout are currently listed as cartoon-only characters. Does that really mean that Wheeljack and Knockout will always remain as cartoon-only characters and never become action figures forever, as opposed to their G1 counterparts? Or is there still a chance that they will still likely to become action figures, only not for this wave? :BOT: :CON:

Thank you!

As for the question, the answer is "Maybe." This is a marketing-based franchise, it exists to sell toys. Even characters that only appeared in one scene in one episode (Rodimus Prime, for instance) got toys.

They should sometime introduce some other Wreckers.

Also, they should bring in flying Autobots and at least one combiner team per' side.
But something other than the Constructicons. I would be happy with Combaticons.

Well, according to Exodus, there are Constructicons, Combaticons, and Protectobots that exist in this canon. So, there's always a possibility.

Oh, there's also Aerialbots, but they never combined into anything and were treated as nothing more than flying, jet-like Autobots who used to be (pre-faction) Seekers.

I'd love to see combiners but the lesser known ones like King Poseidon / Seacons and Raiden / Trainbots. They may not have been mentioned in Exodus but it'd be good to see them instead of another Constructicon appearance

Look Prime is just now in the process of introducing new characters and getting the ready for future episodes.

Megatron will return but most likely not unti the ending of season 1 likely in a multipart episode like in Animated.

He might not even show up until season 2 they are saving Megatron for an important multipart story arc which is my theory.

Right now is just introducing new characters and getting ready for future stories.

I like Prime but i do agree some episodes suck and dont pick up on the story and feels lifeless but some are awesome episodes.

I cant wait to learn more on M.E.C.H and see what Silas does in the future. I cant wait to see the new Female Decipticon who hasnt been seen yet or what she will look like or what here name is I hope for a new character not Blackarachnia or Slipstream or Strikka.

I hope we get some Triple Changers in Prime but it is to early to say yet look forward to future episodes.

I do agree that they need to get on with the story, but i think that they are just building up the Characters. They are adding new ones butthe only problem is the die or do not stay. I hope that this break they are supposed to take is going to come back and bring the show back to the story.

you know what be a cool twist that will make the show actually interesting. Have Shockwave come in near the end of season 1 have him put a bullet in Starscreams head and take command. Have Soundwave track the kids down abduct them, then torture them into revealing where the Autobots base is (money on Jack squealing first) Then use Nemesis to blow up there base to leave a cliffhanger until season 2 to reval that they are alive. Just saying it be good tension and the Decepticons will actually have a win. be better then rehashing Animated season 1 ending

No matter how you look at it, any point that Megatron were to come back in season 1 would be a rehash of something. If he doesn't revive until the season 1 finale, it'll be a rehashed of Animated. If he comes back sometime sooner, it'll be a rehash of Beast Wars II. If he doesn't come back until after season 1, the fans are gonna be ticked. It's a lose-lose-lose situation.

Yeah, and , while Starscream most certainly wouldn't be above torturing children, we've already seen him torture a human (Fowler), so him doing it again would be a rehashing of itself.

He would only do it if Megatron ordered him to. Even if he is the true second-in-command, he was ordered to remain on Cybertron.

Still, the Shockwave of this canon is a (mad) scientist above all else. He doesn't destroy, he creates (or rather, creates fro mwhat is already destoryed). He created the combiner technology of the Devastators and Bruticus Maximus. He was even credited of granting true life to the Trypticon orbital station. But, I cannot recall hi mactively taking part in any battles of the war, instead opting to give orders to other soldiers and/or work on more experiments.

where I'm trying to get at is that Megatron is still dead at the time Shockwave would appear. And just cause he's a mad scientist (again) in this continuity doesn't mean he won't try to hit for leadership of The Decepticons. I'm just saying we need a better leader for Decepticons. I mean Megatrons is clearly bonkers even if he comes back and Starscream already got 2 characters killed. But then again for all I know like everyone else in Prime any other Character from WFC is probably dead.

Optimus, Bumblebee, Arcee, Ratchet, Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, and Breakdown were all in WFC and none of them are dead.

The point of Starscream being in charge and failing is to make Megatron look better for when he comes back.

keyword being "other" wheres Omega, or Ironhide, Jazz, Ramjet, Skywarp, Trypticon, Silverbolt, Brawl, Barracade. and even if there alive where's all the Decepticons all we have are 4 characters the writers pulled out of a hat a corpse and a bunch of no-name drones

I like the idea (maybe exept for the torturing)
It would really be pretty nerve-tingling end, which would leave a persuation to watch the next season! It would also probably serve to reveal their existence to the World.
