I like Smokescreen more and more. The guy just tries his level best and that turns out to be pretty darn good. Not only on the battle field either. He has a natural talent for lifting the spirits of his team mates and he will not let pride get in his way, his or any others.

Raf rocks the show again. To the point that Ratchet admits he needs him.
"I don't care if you trained with ninja! My Mom has eyes in the back of your head!"
I can so very much relate!

Silas "C.Y.L.A.S." is plain and simple creepy. He was the horror of the situation. Brrr. I think I just might get nightmares from this.
I finally get Knockouts odd character design in mech form. He is a tormentor from Hades. Watch the show, the last scene will explain. Also I got the vibe that he is at least seven levels of crazy.

Wait. Silas' old identity still gets him access to military complexes? Wasn't he removed from his position as colonel?

We don't know this; we never saw the guard let him in and the next scene showed that he'd just trashed the place. It's just as likely the guard called him out and thus the destruction.

I really wish they'd stop destroying good things in the same episode they introduce them. I wanted MECH to become a third faction, but instead Cylas destroyed them all, and his fate is now questionable. The satellite of death is now useless, and Bulkhead is almost well again. We're basically back to Status Quo + Smokescreen. :/ I hope the last 7 episodes bring some pure awesomeness to the table.

That was a great episode, the ending scene in the nemesis was amazing, and something about the animation really captivated me. I wish they always moved like that. Awesome creepiness from Megatron and Knock Out.

This would be a great time for MECH to end. They were great (maybe I only think so from watching the Animated over the summer on the Hub, those humans are horrible), but it would be lame if someone somehow rescued Silas or something. I'm not sure how I feel about him killing his henchman either...it was b.a. at the moment, but he should be smarter than that.

The way someone like Fowler goes to Raf for help on something like that is kinda lame, but I accept that it's just for kid appeal. The humor was also unnecessary, but I guess the episode was on the verge of being too scary? I wish the bots had a Soundwave, at least an adult human. Otherwise, a perfect episode. I liked the bonding of Smokescreen and Bulkhead. I can't wait to see a day where Wheeljack joins in in a huge battle.

Also, would the phase shifter have protected them from the blast? What about the Apex armor? Why not throw the spark extractor out in that field and be rid of Soundwave himself (perhaps that one's not possible). In any case, bots need to start taking advantage of those relics. Would've been cool if Soundwave had shot the bots with the resonance blaster too before flying away.

If you think about it, Soundwave could have given the Resonance blaster to another Decepticon, activated the satellite, and vaporized each and every one of them while they were paralyzed.

Smokescreen studied the Wreckers' battles, so he surely knows who Ultra Magnus is as well as he knew to identify Optimus Prime. I have to admit, since Smokescreen (G1 Tech Spec version) was a very important concept to me as I made the transition kiddie to high School, this new, younger version is very significant to me now that my Son is getting old enough to comprehend this show and my commentary.Writers: Thank you (but I will continue to insist TFP Wheeljack should have been Sunstreaker-sorry).

Curiosity: Will the Wreckers' battles in TFP match the pre-history in Exodus and so on? I doubt it.

Megatron admits the Human factor tipped the scales away from his favor. I suspect his statement included the loss of Breakdown to MECH. I would not be surprised to find a bunch of Cylas-clones running around soon. Decepticon-made...Could be the TFP variant of pretenders or Beast Shells or some such (Diaclones?). (Lazerbeak could even feasibly command them-*chuckle*).

M.E.C.H had a lot of warehouses spread around. Don't see why a survivor couldn't pick up where Cylas left off. No need to assume all were at the base Cylas trashed (and no indication Cylas trashed it at all).

No indication that Soundwave still has the resonance blaster on his 'person'. Handing Megatron what he wants in Soundwaves' MO (actually, it's traditionally making Megz decide Swave gave him what he wants.Having said that, what happens if Soundwave records and plays back a blast from that relic? Will it hit an enemy or overload Soundwave himself?

Project Damocles is better off out of Decep hands. Shockwave, once having arrived, would be too deadly with it under his direction.

Ratchet is both an obvious veteran and a good strategist, putting Bulkhead where he did.

The episode was quite good. Would have liked this show a lot more if the very first episode gave a specific count of Vehicons (and later Insecticons), placing increasing pressure on Megz as their numbers dwindled (bearing in mind that certain percentages of fallen Deceps would be repairable and only a few would be rendered terminated at a time).

I have a sudden desire to see Hound appear. Bulkheads' AltMode is too similar, tho...

Regarding Silas eliminating MECH, if fits with his ego. Once he thought he was better than his human minions, it's only natural he'd ditch them, one way or the other. His only mistake: offering his services to Megatron, who is WELL known in this series for his low tolerance for failure. It's also not surprising Megatron would turn on Silas; I think it's very clear that Megatron (and Knockout) were EXTREMELY disgusted by the idea of a human/Cybertronian hybird.

I think Silas will return, though - I think the last promo showed Jack under attack by a 'bot that looks like Breakdown.

True. Megz (if not Knockout) would have torn Cylas apart anyway- Cylas postponed it temporarily with the bargain he tried to make and if the Damocles project hadn't failed and Cylas was kept 'at the table', Megz and Knockout would still look for the excuse to punish him. Cylas should have stuck to dealing with Starscream.

Still, with the whole evolution of M.E.C.H spread across the first 1.3 seasons of this show, I don't think its' contribution to long term progress is exactly over and done with.

I don't think they had one. They built a replica of Prime's robot mode, then scanned an identical vehicle using the Cybertronian scanning tech they reverse-engineered from Breakdown's remains.

If I remember correctly through all the boredom of this show, it was during the episode with the Train and the bomb or whatever it was- (and Optimus had a trailer for a day)- that he got scanned. From hazy memory I think he was scanned by a M.E.C.H helicopter which then bailed. I could be wrong but I believe I remember Silas looking at a screen afterwards with Primes spec readouts and gloating.
