Cartoon Network Becomes the Home of Hasbro Studios' Newest Series, Transformers: Robots in Disguise

Latest Installment of Hasbro Studios' Top-Rated Series to Debut On Its New U.S. Network Home in First Quarter of 2015

(NASDAQ: HAS), announced today that Cartoon Network, the regularly top-rated primetime network for boys' ages 6-11 and 9-14, will become the U.S home of the brand new series, Transformers: Robots in Disguise.

The latest installment in the Transformers franchise - a global phenomenon across TV, film, consumer products and digital media - will debut in the first quarter of 2015 and is written and directed by top Hollywood talent and influenced creatively with feedback from its avid fan base, which is reflected in the tone and style of the new series.

The mission begins as Bumblebee must step up to be leader in the years after we left the Autobots in Transformers Prime. Summoned by Optimus Prime to save Earth from a new faction of Decepticons, Bumblebee puts his light-hearted mettle to the test after assembling a rouge team of young Autobots action heroes. Bumblebee must balance his job fighting off evil with being equal parts squad leader and coach to a rascally band that needs constant coaxing to learn how to work together. The results are comical when the cool rebel, elite guard cadet, bombastic dinobot and exciteable mini-con must balance team-building with chasing and capturing their new enemies in every episode packed full of action, fun and adventure.

Following the leak reported earlier today, Hasbro has just made the announcement that Cartoon Network will be the home of the Transformers: Robots in Disguise animated series.

Yahoo. I'm glad for the switch as cable is so expensive here that anything above basic is out of my monthly price range and too many bs channels included. I somehow have Cartoon Network in my basic package...will be nice to actually watch the show rather than waiting for someone to upload episodes to Youtube.com or having to buy seasons like I did with Transformers Prime.

Wow, so Hasbro has no faith in the show as it seams, otherwise they wouldn't have put it on CN to die. Nope, not getting invested in it then.

It may end up on Cartoon Network, But with the recent news that
DISNEY has just signed a deal with HASBRO to produce its new MARVEL
Toys and has renewed a deal also with HASBRO to continue making Star Wars
toys... Transformers series may now be shown on DISNEY XD instead of Cartoon Network... The Mouse House has been interested in buying HASBRO in the past anyway, so it might make sense to keep any new TF title on a Disney owned network.

Hasbro has been producing Marvel toys way before Disney bought Marvel.

And no Disney did not have interest in buying Hasbro before, that was a stupid click bate article posted just after Disney bought Marvel.

What they did sign a deal over was to produce Disney toys now, which goes along nicely with Hasbro already producing the Star Wars and Marvel toys.

not surprising since CN has more viewers and is available in more areas. But they are notorious for killing shows early so i wont be at all surprised if this only gets 1 or 2 seasons then completely ends on a cliffhanger. Still pissed about thundercats, they could've at least ordered one more episode to give an actual ending. But i had no interest in this show from the start & this just makes me care even less.

Welp, guess we better prepare for the inevitable 3-month summer break, 2 weeks of new episodes, then suddenly being pulled off the air without any reason (and late enough the guide still thinks it's supposed to be on), and eventually a note from CN promising it will be back next spring, which of course it won't... all just when the show finally finds its footing.

And of course no TV ads telling you the show even exists. Meanwhile Uncle Grandpa and junk get one every frigging commercial break...

it looks better than i had anticipated. animation looks smoother, villains look more interesting albeit a bit wacky (decepticon with antlers lmao). looks like the decepticons are now predacons. dont really know how thats gonna work considering we already have them in the same universe as something completely different.

Nowhere was it said that Decepticons in this continuity can't have beast-based altmodes. Plus, the toy for Underbite shows that his beast form is his robot mode, while his altmode is vehicular.

im just not used to the change. the only cons i remember with beast forms was arachnid the insecticons, and the predaking. its not really a bad thing. i love the ideas of beast modes
