"More Than Meets the Eye" was...really really average. Like, incredibly forgettable. It had some funnier lines than past episodes, but overall just sort of a drag. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not very interesting.

yeah the monster of the week does work really well for some reason. when i watch something like power rangers anymore i get incredibly bored. i think its because the characters are more interesting in this than in power rangers. this show really knows how to balance being kid friendly with being entertaining for everyone.
Well, this isn't the first TF cartoon to use an Villain of the Week format. Animated did it for at least its first season, and that proved successful enough.

Burn wrote:After watching the latest episode it made me realise how the 'Con of the week stuff has gotten old really quickly. They need to do something different, even if only for an episode or two, just to change it up a bit. Otherwise this show won't be going anywhere.
Having read synopses of the first 13 episodes, after more Cons are introduced, more things are gonna happen in addition to (but not in the place of) the Villain of the Week format.

It's Just me, or animation in episodes 3&4 is MUCH better than in episodes 1-2? I mean, frame rate now seems to be improved, and now character are moving more smoothly. Previosly, it was kinda Animated designs in Cybertron's like CGI, pretty the worse combination possible. Now I even like it. Sadly, Fix pretendint to be a human was kinda silly idea, and I don't see a point about this girl. But otherwise it was fun.

And so far it is more a "Two monster's of the week" formula. But I hope that Steeljaw will contact Starscream (witch espaced from Predacons at this point) at some point, it would be nice to have a cameo of some Cons from previous team.

Sabrblade, earlier this morning, Episode 5 had just been aired in Australia. Unfortunately for us, this episode still hasn't been posted on dailymotion.com. When will it be available on dailymotion for everyone of us to see? :???:

He doesn't know, none of use outside of Steeljaw, the person uploading the video, know as to when it will be uploaded.

I was at work all of this morning, so I couldn't post the link until now. Though, to be fair to myself, the girl who uploads the episodes didn't get to upload episode 5 until this morning since she went to sleep after the episode was uploaded for downloading last night (Australia's many time zones ahead of the U.S., so this morning for Australia was last night for the U.S.).

Here's how it works. One guy in Australia has been recording the episodes and uploading them for online download. And another person, a girl who doesn't live in Australia, has been downloading them from the first guy and posting them on Dailymotion.

Anyway, here's the episode - http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k5YElj14MdRKuAah7mM

Episode 5 -

Sideswipe attempted to give Strongarm a Wet Willy.

Bumblebee recalls that Team Prime never gave Optimus the kind of trouble that Bee's new team causes, and wonders what Optimus's secret was.

Weird. This particular episode upload spliced in the Chinese dub's opening in place of the English version's opening.

Bumblebee attempts to pontificate like Optimus did. Though, he winds up sounding less like Peter Cullen and more like William Shatner.

Sideswipe thought Bee was doing a Starscream imitation (is he familiar with Starscream?), and called it the worst ever.

A stasis pod was found by hikers and brought to the Crown City Museum of Natural History and Sciences, where scientists are trying to open it.

Denny poses as a famous archaeologist named "Dr. Nevada Fleeber" (I think that's what he said)--an obvious spoof of Indiana Jones--to infiltrate the museum. He claims to have discovered the "Flingy Tribe in the lost city of Bantra" (don't quote me on those exact spellings).

Russell pretends to be "Nevada's" intern international adventurer "McPlank". He claims the two of them just got back from "Cardagascaa" after recovering the "Samurabi Idol". (best guesses on those spellings)

Bumblebee is a big enthusiast about the museum and the history it covers.

Whilst narrating to himself out loud, Russell stumbled upon the stasis pod.

Who's That Decepticon?! It's... Terrashock!

Terrashock's old boss was Contrail. Only known bot with that name was the member of the High Council that represented the Seekers.
Image

Terrashock's a bit of a dumb tough guy, and has claustrophobia.

The video in the upload freezes for a bit when Sideswipe transforms from robot to vehicle.

Terrashock is a Buffaloid, one of the most ruthless enforcers on Cybertron, and nearly impossible to stop once it gets moving.

The video glitches for a sec when Terrashock approaches Bee while he's trying to explain his trying to lead like Optimus to Russell and Denny.

Crown City seems fairly futuristic in its architecture. I'd say this could be around a decade after TF: Prime.

Terrashock already has his truck altmode.

Bumblebee accidently exposed himself to the public, but Denny quickly gave him the idea of pretending to be a large animatronic machine, in which he acted pretty similar to how the Rescue Bots behave when they pretend to be lifeless machines.

Another video glitch occurs after Bee let's his team know that he's going after Terrashock, cutting right to Optimus contacting Bumblebee.

Optimus says that he is permitted to make contact only when the Primes believe Bumblebee's need to be dire.

Optimus tried to advise Bumblebee not to lead like Optimus did, but Optimus's time is cut short mid-sentence.

It seems that Only Bumblebee could hear Optimus during the vision, as Denny asked if Optimus said anything before he left.

Russell suggests Bee try leading like himself.

Bumblebee finally gets the hang of "Let's roll out!"

Highway speed chase battle!!!

Russell uses Strongarm's speakers to make all onlookers think that the Bee's team was a stunt driving team putting on a highway performance, and that their next show will be in "Witchahoma County" (however that's spelled).

YEEHAW! This here was a rip-roaring hoedown of a showdown, folks! Full of fast action and tons of character! The teenagers continued to butt heads while Bumblebee played peacekeeper, which led to his own developmental arc of learning how to be his own kind of leader without relying on Optimus's example. And Terrashock might have been a one-note pony, but his antics in the museum were entertainingly amusing enough. And that final highway chase scene, oh MAN, that was fun! It's rare that we get vehicle mode-only fights like that that are as good and awesome as that one was. This show is really hitting a lot of the right notes and could easily turn out to be one of the best TF cartoons yet.

Sabrblade, I`ve always thought that Terrashock was garbage truck, but according to the TFWiki.net site, it states that Terrashock is actually not a garbage truck, and not a dump truck, but rather an armored truck. After seeing the footage that just aired on Austrailia today, is that really a garbage truck, dump truck, or a armored truck? :CON:

He was going so fast I couldn't tell.

But I could believe him being an armored truck since he never scanned an Earth altmode and neither an Earth-style dump truck nor an Earth-style garbage truck would make much sense on Cybertron.

Bumblebee: "My team never gave Optimus this kind of trouble."
HA! Oh dear.
Given the list of references to Dark Energon, Bumblebee's exploits, and all that one can assume this really is a direct sequel to TFP.

That said one can then only assume that selective memory loss now comes in bright primary yellow.

Bumblebee dear, don't you remember:
1) Sneaking out to street race with Jack
2) The T-Cog-less fight with Knockout
3) Arcee nearly offing captive Starscream
4) Ratchet and the Synthetic Energon fiasco
5) Smokescreen sneaking off with Jack to the Star Saber
6) Pretty much EVERYTHING Wheeljack did....

This kind of trouble? No, no, you were far worse.

I think Bee means that whatever his old team did was never enough to upset Optimus as much as the things Bee's new team does to upset Bee. And because he's getting this upset, he sees his team as being worse since, at this point, he doesn't see himself in a different a light as he saw Optimus.

But that could be taken as an additional layer to the lesson Bee has to learn, in that Optimus had far more self-control than Bumblebee has, showing further how much different a leader Optimus was from Bumblebee, and how Bee mustn't/can't be the same kind of leader that Optimus was if he can't keep as cool a head as Optimus kept.

"W.W.O.D" is probably the best episode of the show, even better than "Trust Exercises." It's not only extremely well-paced, but the story is top notch and the characters of focus were more intriguing than ever. Even Terrashock, who might just be the best of the 'cons shown thus far. They have some interesting material to work with on this one in comparison to the others (save for Steeljaw), and is actually one of the few I'm hoping we see again.

Bumblebee's focus was the most interesting, even if his arc was expected given the premise of the show. It's more in the delivery than anything else. Bumblebee's imitations of Optimus were some of the most hilarious and entertaining moments of the series. Overall, my favorite episode thus far.

Episode 4 was nice and solid and I want a figure of that combiner. (Can't remember his name.) He was awesome.

Episode 5? Eh. Kinda bland. Nice to see Optimus, though.

Yeah, I was surprised by that. I thought perhaps it was my PC, since it was handling a bunch of tasks, but my laptop, Windows 8.1 tablet and my HTC One (m8) are all quad cores with 2+ GBs of RAM and none of them could play it without freezing or jittering.

Watching the video move, then freeze, making it feel like Transformers and Godzilla had a baby was just awful.

Dailymotion usually isn't that bad, especially at 480p resolution (that's not even High Definition, it's just Progressive Scan) and it just refused to play well.

Sabrblade, since you guys watch Episode 5 from dailymotion.com, judging by the footage, is Terrashock a very young Decepticon to begin with, since that he is the muscle of an elderly Seeker named, Contrail, due to the way he reacts and his ranks? No accent. He just spoke like a tough but slightly dim person. (Staff edit by Autobot032: No, you cannot post that.) Nor did he sound young. But then again, Kevin Michael Richardson isn't known for voiceing many young-sounding characters.

Though, it doesn't matter how old or young these characters are. That's useless information that you're not going to put on TFWiki.

What accent did Terry spoke in the film? Note: Terry means Terrashock for short. :CON:

Sabr, your post has been edited to remove the one comment. I understand what you were trying to do with your explanation, but race is a sensitive issue and it's better just to leave it out when discussing a person's mental level.

If you have any questions, please PM, thanks.

Sabrablade, I can see where you`re from. I don`t know just how young or how old that Terry was. But I supposed that he`s not that old though. From what I know so far, that one who portrayed Terry, Kevin Michael Richardson, also portrayed Bulkhead from Transformers: Prime. Just like from Transformers: Animated, Bulkhead was a pretty young bot, somewhere between his early to mid-20s. Both Terry and Bulky sounded quite similar. Because there are a lot of people who I knew, heard, or saw who are extremely young also talk like that. Which means, you don`t have to be young to have a young-sounding voice. The sound has absolutely have nothing to do on how big or how young you are, although the media loves to portray big strong men as loud and deep-sounding. I have just seen a clip of former WWE wrestler, Heidenreich who sounded similar to Terry, but much younger. This was when he was in his 20s right before he became a wrestler. Tell me if he sounds just like Terry to you. This is a pretty long clip. The real deal kicks off at the 5:30 mark:

When the clip starts you play, please skip the first half of the video and start at the 5:30 mark. Then you will get my message. :CON:
