Um...yeah. They could have. The guy almost died. Apparently, if we're to believe it, he
did die, and we should all be thankful that Lawler was even there, instead of turning it into a stupid angle that's only going to alienate people in the long run.

I watched the RAW when it happened, but not to the point when Lawler had his heart attack, so I don’t know how things played out. I
did hear Michael Cole’s announcement from the end of the show on the radio the next day, and it didn’t sound to me like it was a angle. (It wouldn't have been on the radio, for one thing...)

Considering it was a real life situation, I think it was important for the WWE to show us that.
