Smokescreen watched with glee as his lasers struck Wildrider in the aft section, shredding one of his rear tires. The crazy Stunticon then crashed into the concession stand, bringing the already decrepit structure down completely. Smokey stopped a short distance away, looking for any signs of movement. It wasn't long before Wildrider had transformed and emerged from the wreckage, guns blazing. Rounds from the terrorist's shatterblasters stuck the diversion expert on the hood as the red and blue Nissan sped into reverse, returning fire with his headlight weapons.
Smokescreen then transformed to robot mode and brought he electro-disruptor rifle to bear. He opened fire on Wildrider again, hoping to short out the Decepticon's circuitry. Smokey then ran parallel to his opponent and took cover behind another still standing structure. The one story brick building would provide adequate protection in the short term, but it wouldn't last forever. As the diversion expert sat back against the wall, he noticed a sign on the structure that read 'Restroom'. Having been on Earth for some time, Smokey accessed his memory circuits and quickly learned what this building was once used for. Yuck! I'm hiding behind a place where humans pee. Terrific! Just as long as I don't get any on me.
As more blasts came his way, Smokescreen realized that he needed to do something more substantial to make a dent in a Stunticon. A mere laser would only do so much to a mech that's built for hard hitting stunts. If Smokey was going to win this battle, he would need to hit back hard, as well.
Therefore, the diversion expert readied one of his shoulder-mounted launchers that was equipped with a standard rocket and not one of his ECMs, which were only good for taking out aerial combatants. Once he was ready, Smokescreen popped up from behind the brick building and quickly fired his rocket at Wildrider. Smokey had aimed low, hoping to strike the ground underneath the terrorist, thus sending him into the air like a mechanical rag doll. If he missed at least the missile would still hit the ground and not any one of his Autobot comrades.

The young silver Autobot easily avoided Drag Strip's laser blasts by simply backing away. "You cowardly Autobot! Stand and fight me!" Then, as if on cue, Hex did just that and raced directly at Drag in what appeared to be a game of cyber-chicken. "If you think I'll flinch, you're sorely mistaken, Autobot!" As the two vehicles approached one another, Drag readied himself for the head on hit he would soon give to his opponent.
However, the collision never happened as Hex transformed at the last second and leapt over the yellow Stunticon, stepping on him as he went. "Hey! What the frag!" Drag Strip shouted as he screeched to a stop just outside the drive-in. Turning around, the former racer sped back towards the silver Autobot. "So, you just want to avoid me, huh? You too much of a coward to take a hit like a real mech?!" Drag taunted, increasing his speed as the distance between him and his Autobot quarry grew smaller by the astrosecond. Once he was close enough, Drag Strip transformed and opened fire on Hex again, keeping his weapon trained squarely on the young 'bot. "You won't avoid me this time, fragger! Ha ha!"
