I hate to respond sincerely to this setup, but since the purpose of the cap is to make it obvious it's not a real gun, a blast effect wouldn't necessarily meet that criterion. More importantly, they shouldn't be easily removable, and blast effects could be cut or modified.

The Legacy thread gave me an idea that will never happen- a Sixshot redeco (with a new head maybe) out of RID Megatron/Gigatron. The colours would work well on him IMO.

Machine Wars, wave 2. A continuation of that line with further reapplied molds. Expanded using additional lines, such as Beast Machines' Vehicons, UT etc, etc

Two I don't think I've mentioned:
* A redeco of Armada Overload in Grandus colors.
* A redeco of Undermine in Scorn's merchandise color scheme. Kind of a surprise it didn't happen during the AoE toyline, but now that that's long past I doubt it'll materialize now.

As an aside, I didn't realise the Overload mold had a fair few redecos. I just thought it was the two (regular plus Ultra Magnus)

And what's exactly to stop one from removing or painting over the cap?

Though I can see your point; the only way to make the blast effect less removable would be to use more durable plastic, and with how many pokable points these effects have I don't see that happening.

I'll be honest, I actually forgot he had a tank mode until I started looking for pics.

I did mention that Tidal Wave a while back. Not too long after I first saw it reading the part work, as I would have bought that instantly, back in the day. It is interesting to think that Beast Wars didn't go too far into large scale characters. There were the two Gestalts, TM2 Megs and OpOp. That's it.

Beyond Tidal Whale, I like to think the Fuzors could have leaned heavily in this direction. A third scale tier featuring mythological creatures such as a Basilisk, Chimera etc

I know it's hard to believe but there were 8 ultra class toys in BW, all roughly the same size and same price.

1996 Primal & Megatron
1997 Magnaboss & Tripredacus
1998 Rampage & Depthcharge
1999 TM2 Megatron & Tigerhawk

Hard to believe they were all a mere $20 when released during this time

Optimal Optimus was the one figure larger than Ultra class.

And yeah, Fuzors would really work for mythical Transformers, especially given how many mythical animals already are a mix of different animals. Can you imagine a Fuzor Tarrasque?

Not toy-wise, no. There was one space whale character mentioned in Ask Vector Prime, if I remember. Probably for the same reason we don't see a lot of aircraft carrier alt-modes too: too large.

In another note, one thing I'd like to see would be a new version of the Star Saber Mini-Con team which could hold a PoTP Matrix in sword mode.

Also, I found this while looking over the TFWiki: a Quintesson fusion of Optimus and Megatron controlled by the ghost of Starscream. Yes, seriously.

It is a different and original take on Prime & Megs. Hence why HasTak would never do it. However, with a minor recolour, it could be this repurposed as this guy:

Hey, if Bot-Bots can be a thing, why not a whole line of "Pet-Shop" like animals who can transform into adorable chibi characters? Make them Nendoroid sized and it could be just perfect. It would appeal to girls and weebs alike!

That design reminds me of medabots, now there was a fun show (and not a too bad English dub).

There's been a dog, a rabbit, a raccoon (tanuki technically...), a skunk, but still no proper house cat Transformer...
