The Toy Haul thread (non Transformers only)

Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. Please keep the discussions here to non-Transformers toy lines.

I was lost and made a thread that had no point. So here's what I'll salvage from that last one with a recent haul:

-Kanrabat- wrote:I took the opportunity of a TrU sale to get myself one hell of a dinamic duo:
Power Rangers - Dino Super Charge - Plesio Charge Megazord and Dino Charge Megazord. 80$CAN with free shipping for the lot is not too shabby. I got a LOT of toys!

Image

Out of the packaging, both Zords need to have their feets attached. Also, NO ANNOYING TIE-WRAP! The toys are stuck snugly in the clampshell. Nice!

Image

Both are pretty big. About standard leader size for a TF.

The transformation is more partforming than anything else. Like 90% partforming. It's almost like construction sets! If partforming make you angry, better forget about most Power Ranger toys. The altmodes are very nice. I really love that spaceship.

Image

Everything can combine into one HUGE "supre size" mofo. That's why for all the partforming. BTW, Pink is on the back. Only the little helmet have nowhere to go. I really like this mode but the legs are a bit weak due to some odd design choices. Overall, Idon't regret that purchase at all.

Image

BTW, I learned that the red helmet go into the spaceship arm hole. Man, I'm bad at rememberring the 'zord's names! :HEADHURTS:

Also, is this the one I'm missing to make Pléizord (?) complete?

It's here! My Biklonz Thunder Guardian!

Man, that box is HUGE!

Image

I'll do a quick review along my bragging.
For 160$CAN with free shipping, I got one hell of a GIANT and HEAVY robot! Just look at that monster!

Image

It can't hold the "mammoth club" properly unfortunately and the posability is basically non-existent. Still you can make him look totally badass nonetheless. Here he is with his partner Cross-Attacker and MP Silverstreak for size comparison.

Image

With very minimal partforming, Thunder Guardian separate into 3 beasts. A huge eagle, a mammoth, and an elk. The transformation is easy to figure out and the plastic is SOLID. Cybertron solid. Man, I missed that feel! There is also lots of spring loaded things that pop out to fill in gaps. The Biklons are wonderful toys and I LOVE it!

Image

And here's a group shot with a separated Cross-Attacker and MP Silverstreak for comparison.

Image

Each of there bots are numbered 1 through 5. Here's the reason:

BAM!

Image

Thunder Guardian have a super mode with Cross-Attacker! And the resulting bot is GIGANTIC! It also have sounds. See compared to MP SS and CW Defensor.

Image

Do I regret buying the Biklonz over MP shockwave or the like? HELL NO! That feel when I play with it, the marvelous design, the weight of the figure (around 3kg for the super mode!) I just don't have enough praize for that team. That's a 220$CAN grand total that was way worth it. Do I recommend it? Oh HELL YEAH! ;)^

Sure is, either grey or purple. He serves as the other arm.

The Zord names are based on the Dinosaurs they're modeled after, you can get those names from the batteries, aside from Titano which is modeled after a Brachiosaurus. :)

Just ordered it. Luckily, the shipping was free. It better be because at 22$CAN+tx, it's very expensive for such a simplistic toy. And I thought a 20$ deluxe Transformers was a high price...

The price was high but acceptable :) I already have 5 others: cinema, petshop, restaurant, detective office and bank. I still want the firehouse and department store. The older ones (cafe corner, green grocer and market street) cost too much even second-hand so i will never have those.

Never say never. Lego is known to re-issue sets that are not that old. Unfortunately, they NEVER make any sales.

BTW, the Ghostbusters headquarter and Ecto-1 could fit well in that street of yours. ;)

IF they every reissue those 3 sets, i'll be all over that.
I already have the Ecto-1 :) Still need the HQ but i want to get my missing modulars first since they're more rare and the HQ is readily available.

I buyed myself Quillfire and PR Pachi.

I also got a Legacy Thunder Megazord in one epic trade.

Image

So my friend went to the local TrU and spend almost 300$CAN to buy the Legacy Thunder Megazord. Man, that thing is EXPENSIVE! I then gave to him: (all 100% complete)
-- Cybertron Defence Red Alert
-- Henkei Optimus Prime with BTS-01S (or something) trailer
-- RiD Scourge
-- And a custom commition to turn the "Bruticus" combiner with Swindle limbs into something unique. (Will post pic in the appropriate thread once I'm done.)

So, is it worth it?

Oh hell yeah! So much luxury!

Nice trade! Why didnt your friend want that Power Ranger anymore?

What has me curious now is that Bikonz Thunder Guardian. What is it and is it all available in one package or do you have to buy several different items to complete him?

You forgot to read a sentence above. We went to the local Toys R Us together and he bought it for me! He bit the bullet, and I give back some precious collectors items that he'll love, plus the PERFECT combiner he always wanted. Everybody win!

As for that Biclonz set, you can buy them separately, but who'll want to do that? However, it's in 2 sets. Here are the cheapest ones available. Let me tell you, those will be a purchase you will NEVER regret!

Biklonz Cross Attacker:

And Thunder Guardian:

Video review, which also show how it combine with Cross Attacker:

The transformation is pur genius for all characters, with barely any partformings. Truly worth every cents and then some!

I know its in two sets, hence why I asked. I thought maybe it couuld come in 1 set, that was more my question. Anyways, are these better than the Megazords? How did you find out about them? And the prices you found,a re those similar to the prices you paid?

What I meant was that EVERY SINGLE CHARACTERS that form any duo or trios ARE sold separately. At 75$ a pop. I paid my X-Attacker set roughly 10$ cheaper because it was used. It's pretty rare to find it used. As for Thunder Guardian, you can make a best offer. It's the seller I bought from. I initially offered 110$. He countered offered 120$. It eneded up at 115$. It shipped quickly and well packaged. NO CUSTOMS because he's a bro who declare a 30$ value.

Even if Megazords have a charm on their own, it's LEAGES above them. Think Cybertron Extended. Go for it, man!

As for the Ursa team, I don't have it and I don't plan to. General concensus say that the Thunder Guardian and X-Attacker teams are the superior toys.

Bought them pretty recently. And I know them just because of Youtube suggestions that lead to more Youtube suggestions that lead to more Youtube suggestions that lead to more Youtube suggestions that lead to more Youtube suggestions that lead to more Youtube suggestions that lead to more Youtube suggestions that.............................................

Anyway, Biklons is a cartoon show from south Korea. It's pretty neat but sadly, only the first 2 episodes have been subbed so far:

Thanks ;)^ If our exchange was better I would get them without question. But now, it seems like a lot. Especially when I am buying YOTG MP Soundwave for only 100$ tomorrow. Now thats good value (an it will be my very first time with an MP Soundwave).

But still, I will get those before I get any Megazords, thats for sure!

Look like our exchange rate is stuck at the 70ish cents. So, it's more a matter of heart than money at that point. Also, a YOTG Soundwave at 100$? Well, despite the pukish collors, it's still better than the kidney you'd have to sell for the Hasbro original.

Speaking of Megazords, there's one that I desire very much :x :

But yeah, when you got the money, Biklonz Cross Attacer and Thunder Guardian should be your highest priorities.

Any Walmarts in your area using a new system for storing additional stock? The ones in my area have, instead of in the back, they're now on the top section of the shelves with the message "Please ask assistance for items on the top shelf". Yeah right, with my 5'10" I can reach the items in front, and occasionally they're newly arrived items, waiting to be put on display.

Guess what I found there:

No, it wasn't empty, I already removed the contents:

Power Rangers Dino Super Charge Titano Charge Megazord

He's so long I had to split the total in 2 photos. But I finally have him, and not disappointed. If you have DX Gigant Bragi-Oh, he's almost the same except sleeker, missing electronics (on par with US Zords) and one key feature: he can't store Chargers in his back, which is a main selling point for some (some are regretting getting that complete Dino
Charger set now). I don't mind it missing tho, in fact along with how the Ultrazord backpack is formed, this only strengthens my suspicions that the US Zords are taking design cues from the Minipla kits.

I feel a certain urge to review him in detail, but not right now, maybe when people want one. :)
The resident Rewind... well, half of one
