I thought both of the originals were fun movies. Dredd is one of my favorite Stallone movies(only behind Demolition Man and Rambo).
The Phantom is my favorite Billy Zane movie.
I'm not upset over this really, but I just hope the movies are as good or maybe even better then the originals.

Well, it wouldn't be hard to make a Dredd movie better than the Stallone version.
Just don't include Rob Schneider and bingo.
But I agree, those two movies were pretty good on their own and a couple of my favorite movies.
Armande Asante is awesome as hell.
It would be like them remaking the Super Mario Bros. movie, as terrible a movie as it is. Damn is it awesome and fun as hell to watch.
Hopefully the movies will be good if they do go through with it.
So long as they don't turn Dredd into it's equivalent of Punisher: Warzone

The people who brought us the worst shaky-cam movie(28 weeks Later) piece o' crap this side of Cloverfield will be bringing Judge Dredd to us.
Yeah, my low hopes sunk lower. On one hand, they gave us 28 Weeks Later, which sucked balls. Dyson type suckage.
But then again they did bring us Sunshine which rocked hardcore.

Personally I liked the Stallone Dredd movie, the best thing about it was the gun & the ABC robot warrior the bad points however were the fact they didnt have there helmets on most of the time & Rob Scheinder was being well...Rob Scheinder.
The only problem I have with the reboot of Dredd is who would be perfect for the role?
and who can say "I AM THE LAW!" better than stallone?
But I hope the remake will feature Judge Death & the dark judges, I loved them in the comics.

Yeah, we'll have to wait for the Flash Gordon movie, Mandrake the Magician and Lothar movies before we can get us a Defenders of the Earth movie.

Honestly, I don't think the movie would work without showing his face. A movie going audience wouldn't be able to get a connection to him otherwise. Same goes for Halo.
Regardless, I loved the original movie. Even Rob Shnieder or however you spell it. And the gun was tight as Hell.
