Chicken Pox twice is common, it happened to my brother, and my childhood friend Guss.

Then again, I'm not a specialist, I just know some facts from books, conversation and experience, so realy before I start to seem know-it-all-ish, I just wanna say

Realy it's all just some **** that happens(or doesn't), and thats about it

That usually does the trick in the end though the other things help at times

Someone stated that they had suspected Dr. Pepper as the source of their canker sore. As a long time canker sore suffered, I know for a fact that Dr. Pepper is the cause. I discovered this when I date this woman, she was a big time Dr. Pepper drinker. We worked long hours together and naturally she got me into drinking Dr. Pepper although i'm more of a Coke guy. I started getting canker sores in my mouth. they were painful beyond belief. She went on a business trip for 2 weeks and in that time i stopped drinking Dr. Pepper and switched to Coke, magically the canker sores went away. When she returned and I spent more time with her, I also picked up drinking Dr. Pepper. And you guessed it, the canker sores retured. That was 6 months ago, to this day, if i drink a can of Dr. Pepper, i'll get canker sores the next day. there is something in the formula that somehow breaks down your mucus lining of your mouth. Maybe you and I are just sensitive to the ingredients in Dr. Pepper. One things is for sure, I love Dr. Pepper and sometimes i'll take a few sips knowing the next day i'll develop canker sores. I hope this was helpful, i do not wish the pain of canker sores on anyone.

canker sores suck! Best cure that I have been turned on to (by a doctor, if you can believe it!)....put antiacid on them...either by letting a Tums or Rolaid dissolve in your mouth or by applying liquid antiacid on it with a q-tip...do this 3-4 times a day....canker sore disappears in 1-2 days! Tis a lovely thing indeed!

Dr Pepper can cause them? No way, I drink almost nothing but Dr Pepper, and I'v never had one. Although I guess some people could be allergic to something in it like you said. Glad I'm not, I would die without it. :mrgreen:

I do feel bad for you guys with them, they sound really annoying...

canker sores, as a general rule, is nothing more than an overabundance of stomach acid bubbling up into one's mouth and chewing on it! Dr Pepper, being VERY acidic in nature itself, can cause certain people to have canker sore issues. Not everyone has the same problem with the same substances though.
