Dunno if you guys would want to contribute to this thread, but I'm sure that like me, many of you found some cheap-ass dollar store toys that are either fun, not that bad, or even brilliant. Please share them here!

So the first one I'd like to talk about is that pretty neat transforming gun. Named Gun.
Yup.
Gun.

From Montoy, this thing is quite big and only 4$can.



Of course, the thing feels pretty cheap in hand and is relatively light. It come with an instructions manual and four foam darts.



The to shoot the dart, you simply load one, pull the back of the gun to charge it, then pull the trigger. The dart fly off pretty nicely.



Here's a comparison to the classic Megatron voyager.



Transforming Gun is pretty interesting with many little tricks that I didn't expect. Gun have his... gun stored under the barrel. If fit his hand pretty well. Of course, he's mostly a brick and have a huge backpack due to the dart shooting mechanism. He's one ugly duckling but his colors are cool.







Obviously, Megatron is 1000 times better but for 4$can, Gun is still quite fun and well worth the money.



Overall, that UFO was quite entertaining. There's 2 other molds to get of Gun. Not just repaints. Different molds! I think I'll get them.

Do those instructions actually correspond to Gun, or do they depict more costly gun robot that he's a knockoff of?

The instructions correspond exactly to him. Plus I don't think this is a K.O at all. It must be a 100% original mold.

It's his own original mold. Plus the instructions matches.

Just because something's not a design stolen from Transformers, Sentai, Macross, or Brave doesn't guarantee it's not a knockoff. It's entirely possible for it to be a knockoff of some other company's original design; I've seen that with these bootlegs before.

You could have guessed that I replied to you in the wrong place. No need to freak out.

In Kanra's defense it is very easy for those of us with mod powers to accidentally hit the edit button when we mean to hit quote if you aren't paying attention. No need to get excited, it's not like he posted something inflammatory.



The gun is neat, probably wont see that in American stores, especially without the bright orange safety tip (orange darts don't count!). Very curious how the others look if you get them.

That dollar store is closed on Sundays for reasons. But comes Monday, I'll be sure to get the other two.

It's not the first time I make the mistake but this is the first time that I pressed "submit" before realizing that something was wrong.
