Thou Shall Not End Transformers; Thou shalt continue!

Postby ...sanora » Mon Sep 06, 2010 10:27 pm

With hopes of getting close to the third live action movie now Transformers should be to first movie to never end filming and showing new movies. Quite the subject matter expert myself i honestly can not find a reason why they should. Quickly mentally reviewing the massive amount of material there is clearly enough to "keep the buck moving." What of Unicron and fortress maximous. Part two showing an ever so slight glimpse of a Omega Supreme. Yet, even before them, what of Rodimus Prime. The story of how he came about is a movie in itself. Carring the spark of Optimus, nearly intercepted by Decepticons and accidentally TRANSFORMED Rodimus to an autobot with a touch :-B . What about the numerous Megatron bodies. What about the war in siebetron(CYBERTRON, wtf ever) or heaven. With the technology of today is there not an endless waltz of conniving tactics to produce energon here on earth and rule over cybertron and the galaxy . :-? What about the story of Skyfire. No not the old bloke jetfire. Skyfire was a decepticon, friends with Starscream and had a second heart do to the love of science, yea that's right a story of true love and free will. Were we all not spermcells is that not a transformation from a single celled organism to a sentient being of 23 chromosomes. Fantasy is our futures forerunner and technology is atop its pedestal. If we truly love the cherubs then set the idea in their heads that they can transform the simple things before their eyes and use them as craftmans tools. :CON: Shake

First of all, dude I commend you for trying.. I know English ain't your first language from the way you type. If it is, well wow - but yeah, welcome to Seibertron.com!

Oddly enough from what I can extract from what you've said, there are many people who have the same opinion - people don't like the Movies series simply because it doesn't fit the Generation One style of characters. You might feel you can't have your cake and eat it too, but in all honesty I feel that the Movie-verse has taken these G1 characters and modernized them to the point where it fits our current culture. I'm not saying TF3 is going to the savior of the two previous films, but I'm looking forward to what they have in store, and I'm definitely not going to blast a film that I haven't even seen yet.

The point is, you can't have the same storyline in the 1986 Transformers Movie, and repeat it in live action. That's just how it is.

What, are you kidding me here. Seriously, about a 16th of what you said had to do with anything in my text. Between Transformers G1,G2, and the five or sex animated movies, not to mention Beast Wars, is enough with modern technology for them to keep making movies. Unicron is a planet eating transforming planet, what!, try making that. Fortress maximus is a building that had to fight Devastator, great fight scene for the big screen. Dude, what Hasbros did with the three Transformers movies is by far the best live action movies EVER!!! made. If they Hasbros need ideas, email me.

Ooookay. Let's see if we can break the code here....

Wow. I'm absolutely floored here. I'm not even sure where to begin, in all honesty.

1.) This is not G1. Other than names and a few locations and items being borrowed from the past, this is a reboot. Top to bottom. This is not G1, this is a new universe. Borrowing bits and pieces is fine, but a 1:1 copy in live action? Wouldn't work. You think the fans complain now? Hah.

2.) Massive amount of material or not, there's plenty of it that just wouldn't translate well to the big screen. Unicron? No. Just...no. A giant transforming planet? It would look stupid on the big screen, plus I, like many others, am just flat out sick and tired of him. Fort Max? Why? It won't get you a reissue of the toy. No toy = no reason to bring him back. Rodimus I wouldn't mind seeing, I suppose, but eh.

...subject matter expert? That's a big claim. Those are big shoes to fill.

Okay, this started off with reasonable questions, but quickly devolved into...what I don't know but I'm genuinely confused in this segment. What is your point exactly? The last segment is just...uh.... Have you imbibed tonight, perhaps?

Wow. Testy, aren't we? You're darn lucky that Blurz was able to make a coherent response to the...whatever the hell it is you've posted here.

Sure, we have modern technology to make the movies.
Sure, we can borrow or outright steal ideas from G1.
...why would we combine the two to make such a movie?

Obviously, the current setup is working and profitable. I mean ridiculously profitable. Over a billion dollars at the box office profitable. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Borrowing ideas from a dead and bygone era is okay to a certain extent, but bad if you want to embrace the future.

And Hasbro was involved, but not the only driving force behind these movies. It was a collaboration and everyone involved put blood, sweat, and tears into these suckers. Don't give Hasbro full credit.

And as much as I enjoy the movieverse, these are not the best live action movies "EvAr"! That's the honest truth. They have about as much depth as a puddle, and as much weight as a feather. They great fun, but they're not the best. That's just not true.

If you're stating it as an opinion, that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion and if you feel they're the greatest ever, so be it. Problem is, you make it sound as though it's a fact. If that's the case, it's simply not true. There's a difference between fact and opinion.

"TRANSFORMERS IS THE GREATEST MOVIE FRANCHISE, EVER!" Opinion.

"They're generally accepted by audiences as being fun, but they're not the best example of cinema." Fact.

There is a difference. If you were posting it as an opinion, then more power to you. If you're posting it as fact, then you're wrong.

Hasbro has plenty of ideas, they don't need ours. Our input, maybe. Ideas, not so much.

Wow, I am impressed with your enthusiasm but to the contrary today s movies are all from the past. Look at Tron, isn't that next on the big screen. I don't want to bring your age in this but it sounds like you lack imagination and it sounds like its from experience. Like you dont know Original movies are so hard to come by. Bro.And to assume that any movie couldn't be remade is flat out hysterical. I mean here we are on what sounds like the verge of a debate about movies that can't be made because its time, is to far past. Dude they are making a Transformers 3. What material do they have to go off of but the G1 and G2,yea that's...that's 1984. And Also to think that because its big it wont look cool, Tron will have to be a world. You don't remember the remake of Star Wars, have you not been to Walmart dude. Go down to the Transformers section of the toy aisle. It seems everybody has a transformer cept for lord vader. The big screen is for the big picture it's looking for the GRAND scheme of things. Then in utterance that i am not the S.M.E. because you can't fathom my ideas, you do lack in some areas. It's lesson time.
Two people ponder things together because one knows he can't think in the same way as the other. And that can go a far as the human race. You got to think about that one. There is more then one in the House of Representative and Senate. The one man show, the President and even he has a comity to help him strategize, that means think. :-$ i wont tell anybody. 2) The names, they got from G1, a new universe-it's still earth and seibertron what new universe, who said anything about a 1:1 copy-you did, if they are fans then they will want to see more and respect ideas unlike your self, the first movie goes under to utmost scrutiny and we were waiting for it, we were waiting for two, we are waiting for three and we will be waiting for the rest of them. it already has worked.
3)Up to date Unicron could be just like the death star, if you don't remember he was never complete and when he was he was destroyed and that's for both the death star an unicron, dude that sounds just like every other movie where the bad guy plots this incredibly big scheme and looses it in the end. We want to see unicron in the relation that something is out there waiting to destroy the world i.e. comets, meteors, wow, that one almost sounds like it was on the Discovery channel last night. By the way the toy was awesome. I remember there being like a two or three foot Optimus or Bumble bee, Unicron definitely fits that criteria. Four heads are better then one. Hasbros so far show that they only have used a few ideas from the original cartoons and movies. Look what they did with that. They have to go back because transformers aside from GOBOTs was an original. the GOBOTs weren't even cooler then transformers. Forgive me all of seibertron for texting the name of such a bad cartoon.

Alright!

1. Those new Star Wars movies are PREQUELS not REMAKES. Also, Vader has a Transformer.

Haven't seen this yet?

2. Yes, we all know that they're making TF3. It's been on national news a couple of times. Not to mention the news on Seibertron.

3. What? Are you comparing this to the senate? :???:

And i don't even know about the last part. Seriously.

I look at it as a lot of the people in the movie industry today are looking to update what they enjoyed in childhood.

On the flip side, it's just pure lazy and shows how much of original thought is lacking these days.

You don't remember the remake of Star Wars,

If you're referring to Episodes 1-3, aka the Prequels, George Lucas always had them in mind.
Alternatively you could be referring to Episodes 4-6, aka the original Trilogy, in which case the "updated versions" aren't so much of a remake as it is George Lucas looking for more money.

3)Up to date Unicron could be just like the death star, if you don't remember he was never complete and when he was he was destroyed and that's for both the death star an unicron,

Unicron was complete in the 1985 Animated movie. Not sure why you're thinking otherwise unless you're referring to his decapitated head doing a orbit around Cybertron. But otherwise, he was very much complete before he was destroyed.

We want to see unicron

Who's we? I don't. I'd like to see them go with something more original.

Regardless of where the names and general concepts are coming from, these films are not remakes. They're adaptations. Peter Jackson didn't remake any of the previous Lord of the Ring movies (and yes, there are some cartoon LotR films), he made a new adaptation of the novels. Hell, Tron isn't a remake, it's a sequel to the original. Jeff Bridges in it, playing the father of the new guy. They have plenty of material to go on besides the G1 Animated series and film. Beast Wars: How many times do sparks get referenced in the Bay films? Thank Beast Wars for that concept/retcon. Optimus combining with Jetfire? Thank Armada for that one. And the list goes on and on. It sounds like your only gripes are 1) It's not a carbon copy of everything from G1, which it wont nor should be. And 2) That Unicron isn't in it. Would it be nice to see him done in CGI? Sure. But is he necessary? No, no he's not. Besides the fact that the scale of him would make Transformers accurately interacting with him...impossible.

Look dude, it appears the only person here that needs a lesson is you. You're trolling, incoherent, rude, obnoxious, and behaving downright moronic. So why don't you take a little bit more time to let your thought processors run there course. "Bro".

cut it out,my child, you are responding to us like all children should. take your own advise. you clearly have nothing about the TF's to say and then you can't debate. Who is it you would tell, mommy? To let you know i didn't read half of what you said. It sounds like your taking my points out of context. Probably to use them yourself. WHere do you get off responding me to stop. GROW UP ALL OF YOU

Seriously, how old are you? You have the maturity and coherence of a 4 year old, yet have the nerve to claim anyone here who's pointed out your flawed logic (if you can call your jargon logic) is a child and we all should grow up? Honestly, the only thing I would use your "points" for would be to prove I was mentally retarded so I could have the government take care of me. Nothin you said was taking out of context. It's all right there for you to read. Which, like you said, you didn't. Although you possibly being illiterate would explain A LOT.

Sorry it had to get unpleasant for you, for a little while.

...sanora I do not know if you registered here just to stir up trouble but comments like

If they Hasbros need ideas, email me.

And
I don't want to bring your age in this but it sounds like you lack imagination and it sounds like its from experience

And
Hey, some random guy from Youtube, Great point!

Just for starters.

Your attitude off the bat is not a good one and if this kind of thing keeps happening you may not last long around here.

So consider this your first warning for all that you have said and done in this thread.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).
