Reminds me of the Cowboy Pizza: pizza with BBQ sauce instead of red sauce, actual grilled burgers, cheese, and large breaded onion rings on top. Oh man is that pizza good

As far as I know, it is only available by that name in the western PA/NY border area

I'm still trying to get my head around the concept of anything other than cheese on pizzas.

Our local Domino's (well not just local, they have the reputation country wide) tends to skimp on toppings, to the point if you want a Meat Lovers pizza, you're better off ordering the Eight Meats pizza, you're guaranteed at least two meats then rather than a scattering of meats with a sprinkling of cheese.

We do have one other pizza shop in town but they're a little on the expensive side. 45 mins away though is a fantastic pizza place which gives plenty of toppings.

And now I'm hungry ... I've really gotta stop coming into this thread. :lol:

On the subject of Pizza, when I went to Chicago 2 years ago now, I discovered that not only is Chicago pizza amazing, but there are so many different types of it. One place we went to had dough 3 full inches thick with toppings, while another used a full 5 pounds of sausage for their XL pizza, which had a smaller crust but was the same height as the 3 inch tall dough one thanks to the toppings.

That trip was amazing, pizza is my delicacy. When I get married, the GF and I are dead serious about skipping the fancy stuff and having a pizza buffet for the reception

Now I’m not trying to get political here, but I’m curious; technically, weren’t wooly mammoths victims of climate change? It seems a bit portentous to me to be throwing around the idea that this rat is the very first species killed off by global warming.

But maybe I’m wrong? I dunno. It just struck me as very definitively worded when weve had evidence of this sort thing happening before for centuries.

Had a pretty good Sunday, put together 6 Kabaya kits! Only 4 to go, but until I find Kabaya Streetwise and First Aid, I am hesitant to put the other 4 together cause I want the combiner. And those 2 are scarce and unfindable at this time.

It was also fun cause I got to watch some Thew, some racing, and had a nice large Whiskey sour made with Bird Dog Strawberry Whiskey.

I don't much go for mixed drinks any more, but I hadn't consciously recognized that until this weekend. We went out with some friends to eat, and I had planed on getting a cocktail, but nothing sounded good. Everyone else had one and they were tasty, but I was happy sipping my Macallan 12 year neat.

I like the idea of a mixed drink, just not in practice. I used to like whisky sours though. Ever try and amaretto sour? I forgot the name of the drink one of our friends got, but it had whisky and amaretto in it. I did get a tiki drink from the new asian fusion restaurant a few weeks ago and it knocked me on my ass (figuratively speaking). That was a nice lunch time buzz ;)^

Strawberry whiskey, huh? Isn’t weird how flavored vodka and rum are socially okay, but any time anyone flavors whiskey, everyone loses their minds?

Then again, Jack Cider and Jack Honey are pretty popular...

And Cary, I have had Amaretto Sour. Personally I don’t care for most pre-made sour mix, as it’s too sour, but I love when a bar makes their own flavorings. And tbh, I prefer just straight orange juice with my amaretto. Add a sugar rim and you’ve got yourself a Tootsie Roll!

I think it's because whisky has been romanticized as fancy thing to be savored alone while vodka and rum are considered mixers. That's all perspective, opinion and/or maybe marketing at work.

I've had various honey flavored whiskys and I find them too sweet but good with dessert (I'd rather just have port or a moscato wine, dessert pending). I'm straight up not a fan of cinnamon whisky, but that's just me.

We have a rum distillery in town that uses sugar cane as their base (that's their schtick because sugar cane is grown here) that makes several variations and they're good, but I'd never have a just a glass of rum. Their other gimmicky booze is the "floated" whisky. It's distilled in Tennessee then floated down the Mississippi river on a barge as part of the aging process. It's very good, but a little too pricey for "just" american whisky. *insert snob emote here*

I can't say I have ever had an Amaretto Sour, I'll need to try it.

I don't like beer based drinks, and I don't like rum (I'm pretty darn picky about booze) and I love mixers. It makes for a really nice enjoyable time that also can pack a wollup if you so choose. Strawberry is really good too, I like a fruitier taste to my mixes
