Honestly I wish they would just leave the Headmasters to fansproject. Finish Throttler. I just cant see having skullcruncher being bigger than FP weirdwolf and mindwipe which im sure everyone here has bought and plans to buy. I would consider it at the inevitable clearance price though. FP seems to go from autobot to decepticon in their headmaster series. So with mindwipe coming out next, it might be a good year before they do their skullcruncher. Wonder what autobot we will see after mindwipe ?

Wasn't it going to be Minerva or Shuta/Siren? I think it was a cop car or emergency car. I want to say it was going to be Minerva...

Not me. I haven't nor will I buy any of FP's emaciated, shrunk-down, scrawny not-Headmasters.
My Headmasters need to be big and bulky like they were in G1 (the toys and the cartoon, anyway. I didn't read the comics which may be why FP's don't appeal to me and TW's do).

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I am that which is, which was, and is yet to come.
And you will know my name is MEGATRON when I lay my vengeance upon you!

I wouldnt really consider FPs headmasters shrunken down. In the rebirth, they were all pretty much the same height as the cyclonus and his jet crew. Maybe a bit bulkier, but by no means towering over them by multiple head lengths. So with classics cyclonus and scourge setting the standard, the FP headmasters are slightly bigger scaling perfect for cartoon accuracy. Im not a fan of G1 toy scale by any means. I consider toyworlds offerings to be oversized. I bought hardbone out of fear that FP wasnt going to do hardhead. But I totally passed on brainwave. That alt mode was just horrible, a super deformed x wing fighter.

same here. i really enjoy TW's big bulky aesthetics. the only reason i was considering FP's headmasters was because of TW's incredibly slow releases, and i was losing faith in their line even continuing. i read and watched a lot of reviews on the FP headmasters and couldnt get pumped for them. they have very intuitive designs and transformations, but thats the only the appeal they have for me.xyl360 wrote:Not me. swamper makes me very hungry to see TW's renditions of weirdwolf and mindwipe... which im hoping ill still see in this lifetime..

Just don't love the Headmasters toy Characters enough to want to pay 3rd party prices to get them. I'm only willing to buy them if Hasbro releases them for cheap USA retail prices.
Agree with some others here. The Eight inch scale is far too big for these Headmasters toys. Think Deluxe and Voyager is a more acceptable fair toy scale.
Since TW loves doing 3rd party TF toys in big scale. They'd be the perfect company to create a MF Overlord, Apeface, Snapdragon, Rodimus Prime, Cyclonus, Scourge and Galvatron.

i hate to keep saying how much i love TW's aesthetics (as i feel its getting to broken record level) but i also had no real connection with the headmaster characters. these toys actually make me want to watch the headmasters show lol (i do own them, just havent gotten around to it). the toys just sold themselves, for me.Tsutsukakushi wrote:Just don't love the Headmasters toy Characters enough to want to pay 3rd party prices to get them. We can talk about FP vs TW until our fingers fall off, but can I take a moment and talk about the RESPECT I have for TW's selling practices?
Here's pictures of a fully completed figure. When is it available? Next month.
None of this two-year grey prototype BS with the other groups. Or even worse, a 3D rendering of 'something' that may or may not ever see release. Here we have a figure. Some of us like it, some of us don't; but either way here it is.

While I agree with you that Toyworld has delivered with this figure, they have given us their fair share of BS teasers and the waiting game with their throttlebots. And although I dont care about their IDW Megatron, add it to list of unseen figures Toyworld has promised.

I know that they're not innocent but if this continues, we're seeing a massive change in marketing strategy from them.
But I won't be happy until I get all of the Throttlebots out of them...

Well, in FP's defense, Code came out in a way that almost gave me whiplash...

I agree; this is a vast improvement over standard 3rd Party practices. Plus, this is the most attractive Headmaster to come out of TW thus far, IMHO. Good for them.

Really, guys? FP's Headmasters aren't huge, but they're certainly not "shrunken." They fit right into Classics. Take Code next to some of the largest deluxe Classics figures (Cyclonus & Jazz/Stepper):

The TW Headmasters are big & blocky, sure, but FP's stuff, though slightly smaller, fit right onto a Classics shelf. They're certainly not shrunken.
p.s. anyone have a spare Stepper they want to unload?

Fully and completely agree with you on that. This is what it should be not waiting a year and a bit to hear when it might be available then putting it off for another month.
Both TW and FP stuff are quite cool. FP quad U was kind of lean and athletic which goes with his persona of being a wolf and the bulkyness of this rendition of Skullcruncher sort of fits the character. I would definitely put my money towards this

he's perfectly formed.
Swamper (stop swamping!) is looking pretty good, and I kinda liked their Hardbone for all his accessories and that, but he was too big. Their Brainstorm wasn't as nice as FPs and since I already have Code and am going to get UUUU eventually...I'll wait for the FP version, or at least some images of it. Haven't decided on Brainstorm, but I suppose I do need one for my Lost Light crew. Shame Hasbro haven't used the IDW comics not having any of the Headmaster characters as actual Headmasters to give us some of them without having to engineer wee dudes. Well, okay, Nightbeat, maybe, if he ever gets a release.

Praise, I see potential with TW's beautiful, Strong and Big sculpts.
TW's biggest negative is making oversized toys. How about giving those Eight inch toys to characters that are shown much bigger in the fiction or toy line.

TFCon in Canada this Summer has a huge 3rd party display with a Q & A. This seems like the con to find out the fate of so many promised 3rd party TF figures.
Hoping TW IDW StealthBomber Megatron isn't cancelled and gets released. honestly think TW is the perfect company to create this toy.

Seems Andy has had a change of heart then...Kapow Toys wrote:It is with regret that we will no longer be stocking or offering coverage of any upcoming Toyworld products due to the poor level of service and communications offered at wholesale level, if you currently have Aurora or Hardbone still on pre-order please contact us with regard to what you would like to do, we will be able to source these products for you but a full refund is also available, please accept our apologies but sadly Toyworld seem to have little to no interest in dealing with the European market.
