So, are they saying that there's a black Hegemon repaint on the way, that they're producing another run of Hegemon, or that Kapow toys is getting a single Hegemon in stock? Hmmm... :-?

I collect black Primes in this deco in particular (anyone out there have a Nightwatch Jetwing Prime for sale?), but yea... adding 3rd Party black Primes to that list might be a step too far.

I love Orion, he's my collection's Optimus Prime. (The Classics Optimus is suited up as D.I.A. Clone Commander. My alternate Japanese movie trailer Ultra Magnus and that Diaclone thing, but more the movie trailer...)

I loved him the moment I pulled him out of the box. The weight, the clickiness, all of it. But I must say, this mold wears the Nemesis colors REALLY well. To the point where I dare say the mold looks a little better in this color scheme than original does.

I bought the original Orion so that Henkei Prime would be a different Prime mold for my Trailerforce figure. But I have no interest in a black version. Im good with Hasbro's Nemesis and a KO with the red windows for fun. But Im very interested in seeing how the new Hegemon will look like. If it's a Diaclone Megatron, Im interested. If it's just black for the sake of being black, Ill pass.

Oh yeah...why didn't that damn axe come with the original ???

My Orion is currently in the mail, so I haven't messed with it yet.

But I love the black repaint Primes, and I think the head sculpt fits much better for the evil doppelganger.

I'm in for this, and would have been even if I DIDN'T spring for Orion.

Here I thought Skullcrunch was the worst thing they've done, now thet went and 1-uped themselves in terms of absolutely deplorable and re-released this hideous mold in Takara mentality colors. Toyworld can rot in hell :evil:

I like it, but I won't be getting it. I think the coloured windows do it a world of good. If they do another run of Orion, I'd like to see them use translucent blue instead of the clear they went with first time. Might help.

I don't think you'll be disappointed man. I was a little bit sketchy with the mold when I ordered it but as soon as I got it out of the box, I loved it. The figure has presence in hand. This repaint looks great.

anyways...

i wasnt very impressed with the original version of this guy. he looked like a static brick (if that makes any sense). but this black version looks reaaallly satisfying. which makes me think i should give the original another glance...

I think the original has a very heroic static stance. He is definitely made up of huge blocks of plastic though, kind of in a TFC sort of way. Transformation is solid & tolerances are good on mine at least. It's one of those figures that looks better in person than it photographs.

I really like the look of the chest windows on this version. That red is really stunning.
