My poor TakaraTomy Streak/Bluestreak is still afflicted by the Nucleon and stuck in robot mode.
I miss transforming that guy.
That one issue is what's keeping me from jumping on the Blue Bluesteak before it's out of a reasonable price range forever.

How are taxes TRU fault? You can clearly see the retail price before taxes on the receipt.

Woah woah woah, let's not revise history. The MP-12 QC was a huge let down when the toy first came out, there was a ton of discussion about it, just a firestorm for a bit. The tight joint being referred to on the Datsun mold is not universally so tight that you can't make it a car again, but it's definitely also been discussed a ton, and again, was so discussed at the time the first versions were released. The perception may be that these things are ignored, but it's pretty far from the truth, it's just that these are toys from October 2012 in Sideswipe's case and September 2013 in Prowl's case, and there isn't much else to be said about it that hasn't been.jay5 wrote:This is literally the first time I've heard any mention of that issue, so thanks for mentioning it. It's like nobody wants to talk about the issues with MP molds, they either never mention the issues or they walk right past posts that attempt to discuss them. Silly, since we're collectors and we should be sharing these sorts of things openly and honestly. Like the crap red paint color matching across the panels on MP-12 Sideswipe, the ill-fitting door panels/gaps, and the paint defects common on all variations of MP-12, regular and the black Lambor model. Few will even acknowledge that. So strange. And we have a re-release of it coming up for the Asian market (and who knows, Hasbro might bring it here, too), but hardly anyone actually asks the important questions like is the paint application or the quality control any better on that re-issue, or are we just spending the same $70 to get the same crap paint quality that's not even acceptable for a KO let alone an official product.
IF you add them up, these jokes a-mounty to nothing.Va'al wrote:shajaki wrote:What if I Canada do better?Va'al wrote:Maple'll try a different joke.
I can't bear all this.

Afaik the paint on subsequent runs of MP-12 were better. Not perfect, mind you, but better. Some of the first run Lambors are really bad. As far as molding, usually not much done there unless it's a total disaster warranting a second "Version", like MP-9, though the second version was still just as bad of a QC mess as the first, if not worse so who knows if it's even desirable for them to tryjay5 wrote:So that makes me curious: Since those MPs are that old and the first issue of them was so long ago, is there any evidence that Takara or Hasbro re-issues will be of any higher quality than the first runs?
