Depending on his location, US TRUs tend to have iffy distribution. Some stores will receive a ridiculous overstock of an item, while other stores may receive only one case or none at all.

With the online preorders sold out and people tricking the .com into doing a store search for stock info (which has allowed people in various parts of the country to grab a 'screamer) it could be rather difficult for people in certain areas to obtain him.

Especially with it being the MP-11 mold and supposedly better plastic. That's going to be big demand right there.

Heh. Looks like they fixed the trick people were using with the mobile website. Earlier it had an add to cart button instead of preorder and it allowed you to see which stores had pickup available.

Has anyone thought for a moment about the fact that release dates for figures are a legal binding contract? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but to my understanding TRU may get into a lot of trouble with Hasbro on releasing MP Starscream before the 10/2 date. With the way they've handled MPs one can only hope, but they may lose exclusive rights. I think something similar to this happened to Best buy before.

Street dates are a legal contract, but it's rarely enforced. I doubt he's street dated (I could be wrong) but even if he is, TRU won't lose the rights. Masterpieces are difficult to sell, ask Wal*Mart. I can't imagine that stores are lining up to take the hit on those. TRU, on the other hand, loves uphill battles and adversity for whatever reason.

No, it was a glitch letting people have an in store pickup for an unreleased item. Someone got frustrated and called TRU explaining what people are doing to know if he could get the same treatment, but low and behold, instead of it working for him they caught on to the mistake and stopped the in store pickup since the item "shouldnt be available on the site yet".

And the preorders will be filled no problem. They made enough of this guy to be on the shelves so I am certain the preorders will be fullffilled in priority.

Wow....what a circus! I was able to see what stores had what by going in a local TRU express and the emp pulled inventory up on their computer

This release of this mold is solid. Colors are great, Paint is good. I little bit of sloppy sprew separation. Especially on the red parts, but nothing to get worked up about. Joints are tight, and everything tabs together really well. The tabs that hold the wings to his back in robot mode were a little iffy, but I have fiddled them into behaving. None of the goofy stuff that was happening with last years Sunstorm.
Good solid figure at the best price one could get an MP Seeker.

This is exactly what I did to land mine. I sought out the manager even, so they are more than willing to help. She pulled up the entire countries inventory. Over her shoulder I glimpsed Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis before she confirmed him to be in Omaha. She also gave me some valuable insight. Most stores receive 2 trucks a week, and even better, the inventory shows up in their computers before it even hits the store. Because TRU has their own Dist. Centers, the proper inventory counts are loaded on the trucks and sent to the stores from the center before the truck even arrives. From the Iowa store I could see that the Omaha store had 4 in stock. The truck was 5 hours late so the units hadn't even been unloaded yet but they showed up in the computer. All I had to do, at the advice of this wonderful manager, was call first thing the next morning and put one on hold.
If you kill these people with kindness, and play it real cool, they are more than happy to help. Now if I had asked to put all four on hold, I'm sure they would have shot me down.

Thats how i found out my local store had Starscream,through the mobile website.I have not opened mine yet,but i've heard people reporting that the plastic was made bad and the wings etc. wont stay on or hold a pose,can anybody confirm that ?

Any negative feedback in terms of this mold is the same that was found in this mold before. If anything, the tighness of the chest makes this an improvement over the others. if you have had this mold before (acid Storm, Sunstorm ect), there should be no bad surprises.

I've had no problems posing mine. Plastic seems fine, and all pieces stay on unlike my Sunstorm. Yes the torso has problems locking together, but I expected that.

I never noticed before, but there are fold out tabs with rectangular peg holes on the shoulders. Anybody know what they are for? Did they have something to do with the coronation gear?
