Walked into my TRU and the shelf space for MP Rod was empty, an employee was nearby so I figured it was worth a shot, asked and he knew right away which one I was looking for, said alot of people had been calling about them, he went to check the back and returned empty handed about ten minutes later, said he was gonna check one more place, i followed him back to what looked like a storage closet and guess what, one MP Roddy sitting on the shelf near the top! I haven't opened him up, the guy also said they were getting more on Friday and asked me not to tell anyone, but it sounds like there will be more, don't give up!

Well, that might work if there's a TRU near you. For me there isn't. Anyone know when/if the site will be putting them back up? Or would I be better served looking elsewhere?

i wonder what days they get shipments... i havent seen any at the TRU near me... maybe i'll check again friday after work

Yeah don't forget to ask. Mine HAD to be asked for. They were keeping them behind the counter. I think the management at this store keeps an eye out for scalpers. Good luck.

There are different days for each location, I suppose. The one nearest me gets theirs in on Tuesdays/Wednesdays. There is another location about an hour and 1/2 away that gets theirs n Fridays. I live in Mississippi. The one nearest me still hasn't gotten any yet.

I finally was able to get one today. It was the second shipment at my local TRU in Parkersburg, WV. They had two left.

I had just missed the shipment that my local TRU put out. The store clerk said to check back next Thursday. Funny thing was that she said they only recieved 4 pieces but their system showed 2 still available...? So there was either a tech error or a dirty jerkass or jerkasses hid the other 2! :VEHI:

Finally found it! it was up on the top shelf where they keep overstock, lying face-down and a little ways back, so I almost didn't see it.

I'd like it more if I could get it into vehicle mode. What are you supposed to do with the hands? I can't get them out of the way.

The ankles are your problem. The bar that attaches the foot to the leg and works as the ankle, has a pivot point in the middle.

When you put the feet in place in vehicle mode, the ankle bars usually look like this: / \ you need them them to be shaped like this: > <

Push that ankle bar in at the pivot point as far as it will go. Wrap the fingers and hands around the forearms as shown in the instructions, then push the arms in place, lock them on the tabs.

He'll seal up nice and tight, and all four wheels should touch the ground with very minimal clearance on his codpiece and the back of his head. But it's very minimal.

I managed to massage everything into place, but thank you. I'll keep that in mind next time I transform him.

...I think Offshoot may be my favorite part. I've always loved the whole thing of targetmasters, mini-cons, etc. Dunno why.

EDIT: Of course, now I lost one of the thumbs. would I be able to get a replacement thumb from Hasbro, or am I going to have to track this damn thing down AGAIN?

I ended up having to order him off of BBTS, of course it wasn't listed as a TRU exclusive but the SDCC exclusive.

But I figure it's Hot Rod (no trailer= no Rodimus Prime to me) so what the hell, and besides I had some store credit with them so instead of paying $119.99 plus $9.00 for UPS shipping I only paid $45.56 out of pocket for him. :grin:

I should get him by this Friday or Saturday.

It's UPS, or that's what the auction page says. The seller has not given me the tracking number, and has not responded to any of my messages.

So, I am trying to prepare for the worst here.

It didn't arrive again today, and I don't think it ever will. I have to wait another 2 days before I can file a claim, then I will have to try and find one again.

If someone can help me out, please let me know. The nearest TRU to me only got 4 of them a week ago and they didn't even last one day because one person bought all of them.
