imo it's TW scale just simply going off other TW figures being on the large side even before the MP craze took over which makes me think this is just another TW offering and also out of the two comparisons Heg & OMP he looks at home with Hegemon .

In part, because the Megatron is forty bucks, not $100.

Also, it is Megatron, and many people have separate displays for Megatron as he's been done in every scale imaginable (not to mention different alt modes, completely different designs etc.)

Most people don't have a separate display for Astrotrain.

People who like stand alone figs with awesome engineering. That would be me. He will still scale well enough with MP-10 and Appolyon if you go by what he usually looks like compare to optimus on the show (he's maybe a tad shorter than what he should be).
yeah. but nailing the scale is crucial for a lot of collectors, and this is already kinda niche.

if theres a toon version, ill still get him. its just odd how this turned out.

But the new Combiner Wars Megatron also doesnt scale with anything and people dont seem too pissed. I think he could be perfect to scale with this Astrotrain.

Yea, but CW Megatron won't put you back what this figure does. Tolerance of off scales is inversely correlated to how much it will hurt my wallet.

Plus, Astrotrain doesn't quite scale with Megatron - based on the picks earlier showing Megatron at about MP Soundwave's height and Astrotrain a bit shorter than the MP Seekers, he'll probably be a good head shorter than Megatron.

Hey guys. Looking at this pic, it looks like he would scale pretty well with Generations voyager Soundwave

To be fair, TW Evilstar has his robot legs spread much more far apart than the other toys in these comparisons pics on page 5.

For those who actively display their TF toys. Know all to well, That TF robot toys lose anywhere from 1/2 inch to 1 inch the further the robot legs are spread out.

Since I plan to buy the TW Evilstar toy. I will get a tape measure and measure TW Evilstar from head to toe with the legs closer together in robot mode. Then I'll post my measurements in this thread.

I think this is a good size for Astrotrain. I think he scales well for anyone using Hegemon as their Megs, and he suits a Classics/Gen collection. I always felt in the cartoon he was too small for what he was and should be one of the big guys. Perhaps not Skyfire bigger than even say Blitzwing. Maybe Magnus height. I'm quite happy with his size for my collection, sitting at the back looking like a bad mofo behind the Voyagers. I don't have the cash now so I'll leave it a bit and hope that maybe they'll release a V2 in show accurate colours.

Think a easy solution, Is for 3rd parties to create more height boots. To make certain HasTak and 3rd party TF toys a bit taller. The boots can form a weapon for the alt mode.

If anyone here is on the fence about buying this TW Evilstar toy. Due to not knowing the exact robot height. I'm willing to buy this toy, Measure it and give the robot height in this thread. To better help some here make a final buy or not buy on this toy.

Here is photo proof of three MP seeker toys. Showing a false bigger height for a toy pushed to the front, while the others appear shorter pushed back in the pic.
Image

Pushed to the front, Hedgemon falsely appears taller than he actually is.
Image

Photo pic that displaying the same toy in different poses or angles. Can make one toy look a head taller or shorter.
Image

Rodimus is taller than optimus in this pic
Image

Optimus and Grimlock are taller than Rodimus in this pic.

Yes, I'm aware. ;) It was a example at how extended or un-extended hip joints, Wide legs poses, close together leg poses. Can reduce or increase a robot height by 1/2 a inch to 1 inch.

Fair enough. Though it seems that taking those factors (A-stance perspective), it seems this guy stands at approximately the same height as the MP seekers? :-?

Thanks for posting this.

I just ordered one, It should arrive next week to me.

As a service to all the members here that are still on the fence about buying this. I'm going to be measuring this toy in all modes. also plan to do a whole bunch of comparisons pics with some of the TF toys i've got on display.

I don't have a site that I use to host pics and don't have any sort of youtube video page.
So if the Seibertron site has any sort of hosting gallery site that allows 3rd party TF toys on it. I'll consider posting the TW Evilstar comparisons pics there.

I'll try my best to play with the toy as soon as possible and take pics quicker than I usually do. Because I know a few members here need this info and pics to decide if they want to buy the toy or not.

Just went to the seibertron toy gallery section. Can't figure out how members can add toy galleries to the section. If anyone wants to post a quick tutorial on how to do so in a reply here or in a PM to me. I'd really appreciate it.

I'm getting this bad boy too once Appolyon comes out (I asked that they be shipped to me together) and what I was gonna do is just take some pics, upload to photobucket and then show them all here. You dont want to do that?
