Anyway sadly to say I've opened Motormaster except all the other Stunticons but it's still a new year! 8-} :VEHI:

Well, that's easy. The original G1 toy is pretty much a Commander, but is still way too small for the current Generations scale. So, having him to be "Titan lite" was the best way to do it.

And comparison pics with Superion show this figure to be roughly the height of Armada Unicron.

Really he should be somewhat taller than Powermaster Optimus Prime, but definitely not a full on, full priced Titan since he's a Micromaster base the same way PM Prime is a Powermaster base. They probably got him right, though HasLab Victory Saber is feeling pretty undersized now.

It was a weird choice to make "Micromaster" Hot Rod a Core since he's so cramped inside the chest now.

Can you share with the class? I can only find shots of him behind Silverbolt.

That's why Starry is not a "full sized, full priced" titan.
We could call him "Titanish" or Commander-plus.

Now that I do think about it, Hot Rod really should've been a new micromaster and not a core size. Would've helped me feel better about how bad he looks too

Wanted to share this as it gives some great insight from two former Hasbro employees about the opinions on 3rd party, customs, and why no MP Mirage.

Actually he feels like I do about 3P, that they infringe on IP. He does touch upon Action Force and how he did it legally by getting the Trademarks.

Sky Byte looks great, especially the shark mode. I'm excited for this one

I had no interest in Heatwave before because I'm not attached to rescue bots but that robot mode is pretty cool. Alt mode... its alright

First Look at Onyx Prime and Alchemist Prime Toys Box Art from Transformers Age of the Primes

Postby william-james88 » Fri Feb 14, 2025 2:18 pm

Motto: "'till All Are One"
This was unexpected, while Megacon gave us a great first look at the upcoming Age of the Primes (AOTP) Heatwave and Skybyte (preorder links below), we now have a look at Alchemist Prime and Onyx Prime's box art. Onyx Prime is done in fiery orange with a winged robot mode that does indeed have four Legs. Alchemist is not as clear to see but he does have a mustache. There is also the box art for upcoming studio series figures like TF One Deluxe Starscream and Elita 1 along with WFC Voyager Thundercracker and the repacks of 86 Jazz and Grimlock.

More of the Primes are present but obscured, though we do see Vector Prime who is indeed the same mold as the Legacy release. These come from a shop in Singapore called The Falcon's Hangar.

It's likely the centaur legs aren't part of the bot alt mode, it'd be weird if only the top half transformed. There's got to be more to it than that. Beast mode for sure, maybe a bird, or maybe a griffon, that would explain his face having both teeth and a beak.

Onyx Prime might be the runner up to The Fallen as far as quality figures go. With Solus Prime being the best Deluxe so far (Alchemist designs look alright).

Liege Maximo might have potential but I don't think he's coming out until next year.

Very excited for AOTP. I've always wanted to get a 12 Primes set (I'm fine NOT having the 13th because... lore. So I'm on the fence for Star Convoy) after completing my G1 collection and then I'm "done." It's like Hasbro was reading my mind.

I'm also very happy the ones with proper render/figure reveals & product packaging art (Onyx & Micronus) looks overall. Prima & Megatronus are kind of average (Prima's color doesn't pop, Megatronus's short legs doesn't make him look epically menacing enough), but still look pretty fun. But Solus I'm pretty sure will be hands-down the best Deluxe fembot for awhile. Hope the rest of the Primes will be just as good as her.

This feels pretty likely, given that it would be a very easy repackage. I could see this being in a comic-edition multi-pack or something.
