What about the Titans Return toy?#1 Signal Lancer fan wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Of course, the first time it happened turned out to be the SG version of the character as a surprise twist reveal, and it only happened that first time because BotCon at the time was limited to using pre-existing molds repainted with or without new heads, unlike Hasbro proper who can create all the new molds that they want.
This got me looking over Alpha Trion's entry on Tfwiki. I had no idea that the first widely-available G1 Alpha Trion toy was the Legacy toy in 2022, almost 40 years after the character debuted.
Of course, this is excluding the legends toys that barely resemble the character that came with Sovereign and Ultra Magnus
Beyond that, the first widely-available Alpha Trion toy G1 or otherwise only released three years earlier in 2019 with the Cyberverse line

Yeah, for some reason, every single toy in Titans Return had the little Titan Master's name listed first on the packaging.#1 Signal Lancer fan wrote:Sabrblade wrote:What about the Titans Return toy?#1 Signal Lancer fan wrote:Of course, this is excluding the legends toys that barely resemble the character that came with Sovereign and Ultra Magnus
Ah, I misread the Tfwiki page. Its listed as 'Autobot Sovereign & Alpha Trion', so without looking too closely at the image, I assumed Sovereign was the big bot and Alpha Trion was a small toy, like with Legends Ultra Magnus.

Wasn't it because in canon technically the Titan Master was the living character and the larger bot was considered just a vehicle, much like in the Japanese Headmasters and Masterforce? IIRC that's how IDW handled Sentinel in fiction.Sabrblade wrote:Yeah, for some reason, every single toy in Titans Return had the little Titan Master's name listed first on the packaging.#1 Signal Lancer fan wrote:Sabrblade wrote:What about the Titans Return toy?#1 Signal Lancer fan wrote:Of course, this is excluding the legends toys that barely resemble the character that came with Sovereign and Ultra Magnus

IDW did do that with Sentinel, yes, but Hasbro proper stuck to the notion of the body and head being partners who were both alive, which was reflected in the Titans Return marketing material and also seen in the Machinima Titans Return cartoon in which Fortress Maximus and the Titan Master Emissary were separate living individuals who could function independently from each other.Rodimus Prime wrote:Wasn't it because in canon technically the Titan Master was the living character and the larger bot was considered just a vehicle, much like in the Japanese Headmasters and Masterforce? I try to erase that cartoon from my memory banks. Redneck Overlord was funny at 1st but now it's just ridiculous. So I was going mainly by the IDW comic.Sabrblade wrote:IDW did do that with Sentinel, yes, but Hasbro proper stuck to the notion of the body and head being partners who were both alive, which was reflected in the Titans Return marketing material and also seen in the Machinima Titans Return cartoon in which Fortress Maximus and the Titan Master Emissary were separate living individuals who could function independently from each other.Rodimus Prime wrote:Wasn't it because in canon technically the Titan Master was the living character and the larger bot was considered just a vehicle, much like in the Japanese Headmasters and Masterforce? Since he seems to have all three spots in that Voyager case to himself based on the leaks, I'm wondering if Nexus is gonna do a bot-mode version of the Reflector thing, where you're intended to get multiples of the figure and combine them with each other to make a bigger Nexus. No idea how actually feasible it'd be engineering-wise, but it's a cool idea.o.supreme wrote:^Well that's unfortunate. Unless his combiner gimmick is going to harken back to CW/UW/Potp, which I seriously doubt. Would be kind of odd that the Prime of Combiners wouldn't be combining with anything. I guess another option is, as a voyager he could be just a parts-former ala Trashmaster.

Still wondering what happened with the first listing where delivery was supposed to happen in the first couple weeks of April. Either way, just funny that now this will be one of the last figures I get for the year, with delivery scheduled for November 3rd. Of course, it may show up early, but hopefully not too close to the SS CC Constructicon set.

The original Listing sold out at some point which is why you couldn't find it, but looks like Amazon secured more stock for pre-orders. I pre-ordered from the original posting that was clearly flat out wrong for saying due in April. It sat in limbo with no delivery date until a week or 2 ago when they confirmed the new estimated delivery in November. So whatever you are seeing now is the same listing, just available again.

I had my preorder secured as soon as that listing was available... I was part of the group who had this figure supposedly being delivered and that same day it was canceled. There was no "in-limbo" period for my order. It went from shipped to "delivery by 9pm tonight" to canceled.

I look forward to it, but I wish Amazon had a feature that requires the customer to confirm the delivery date changes, as I was not expecting to spend the extra $54 this week.

Carnivac and Fisitron also got moved up, so I'm up to an extra $108 this week.
Nemesis Primal wrote:The Studio Series listings already got posted, but we also got new 2026 Age of the Primes listings from JTPrime17 as well, and they are....actually a bit confusing.
No AOTP Titan in 2026. That’s because Studio Series is getting its first Titan instead. AOTP will have 2 Commanders instead.

Could just be a simple package refresh of the normal Armada Megatron from Legacy Evolution. The chart posted above by Nemesis Primal shows otherwise.Overcracker wrote:I thought they weren't doing straight PRs anymore.
Therein lies the mystery of what his toy will be, but the notion of it being a Walmart exclusive was a given by its being a Retro figure.Overcracker wrote:We don't have a deluxe wheelie like Gears or Bumblebee , so either they're using the Core class, not sure anyone is "wheeling" to pay 25 bucks for , or they're making a new mold that starts off being exclusive.
Much like VW Bee for Netflix.
Liege Maximo is on this list too. And this list is for much later in the 2026 line, with the chart posted above by Nemesis Primal showing more Primes (particularly Quintus Prime and Amalgamous Prime) coming earlier than the ones in this list.Till-all-R1 wrote:Oh, are there anymore Primes coming in AOTP? I see Vector listed but isn't that just a reissue of Legacy figure? I was thinking that I wouldn't mind a G1 version of Sentinel Prime, or Titans Return version.
